I appreciate RP's honesty, but how do we have a monetary or fiscal policy without the Fed? I suppose we could turn the US Treasury into a central bank, but I don't think that RP would support that. On the one hand, the Fed is how large banks hold us over a barrel, but, on the other hand, we need some sort of central bank to control the money supply. I think RP's solutions are appealing in their simplicity, but ignore the complexity of national economy, much less global.
