He's actually a student at Berklee College of Music in Boston now. He's also singing with the Beantown Swing Orchestra who are playing at my wedding next summer- I'm very excited! Check them out on here and you can see recent performances from John.

Wow. He's just amazing, I mean really. I've been such a fan since his first audition at Idol...but this was just breathtaking. I wish the people on Idol would have him back to do something like this so they could eat their words from back when they said they needed an Idol people could be proud of, referring to him as though they couldn't be proud of him. PsychoT has it right...pure simple voice..it's my listening to Michael Buble the last few days that made me seek out John, and I honestly think that John is in the same league as Michael... keep singing those "standards"...I'm so glad this style of singing is making a comeback during my lifetime as I'm a "little" too young to have enjoyed it the first time around.

He has a pure simple voice and was one of my favorites that season. If he hadn't made such poor song choices (he should've listened to Elton John and not sing Crocodile Rock) he could've gone further. I hated that people were actually being mean and threatening this kid. He didn't deserve that. I also enjoyed his record.
