@moronipeaches I love AMY!!! RIP I'm glad I discovered Selah sue off youtube in 2009. She's wicked and she sounds like her self but yes you can hear the influence of hiphop and soul and reggae in her voice. Amy was more jazz though. But they both looked up to Lauryn Hill too. I want her to do a tour in North America or appear on one of the late night shows in the US. That's how people there will hear her music too. Most people know her from youtube though. :) Go Selah Bad gyal business!!

@moronipeaches not really...it's more like Nneka reagge/hip hop ...I don't find her similar to Amy...completely diffrent...maybe voice a little, but music absolutely not.

@doma68ful I dont mean the style of their music or the quality of their voices. Selah reminds me of Amy because of the soul in her voice. You can tell that theyre both driven to their own distinctive sound, selah more through passion, and amy more through tragedy. Amy was like selah at first, she was upbeat and bright, especially in Frank. But when Back to Black came out, it was so much darker. It seemed like she sang to escape from her struggles with relationships and drug use.
