He defended himself against a buying attack with one appropriate strike, but did not follow that up with any further physical uses of force, other than a chemical agent. They should teach cops to relax the situation when there is resistance and to get some kind of agreed compliance. Hold them still, stop trying to force them to cooperate, explain what is going to happen, even help them through it. Force is only necessary when expecting force or when being faced with force, you can't force a squirmer to do anything, you'll only hurt them.

As far asI could tell, the officer used great restraint in dealing with the resistive subject. He gave her numerous chances with clear verbal commands, and she continued to fight. He defended himself against a buying attack with one appropriate strike, but did not follow that up with any further physical uses of force, other than a chemical agent. people, this is what you get when you don't obey law enforcement. It's especially what you get when you try to bite them. Yet another video trying to make a cop look bad when he's just trying to do his job and is actually doing pretty good in regards to maintaining his composure. Only thing that I might disagree with here is the use of pepper spray, she wasn't being quite bad enough to get that I don't think but it's just frickin pepper spray... I've been pepper sprayed and it's no huge deal.

he was right to use the spray, and he was right to slam her head on the hood. You may not know this, but the hood of a car is loud, but doesn't hurt, and he did this to snap her out of her unjust histeria. Resiting arrest opens up a lot of options for the police, and the officer was very lenient

They should teach cops to relax the situation when there is resistance and to get some kind of agreed compliance. Hold them still, stop trying to force them to cooperate, explain what is going to happen, even help them through it. Force is only necessary when expecting force or when being faced with force, you can't force a squirmer to do anything, you'll only hurt them.
