  • What? Singaporeans are reduced to second-class citizen? Who is the SDP trying to fool? We are not born yesterday. We are not dumbass. We are highly educated and we can tell who's right and who's wrong. SDP, please think about new political stategeries so that the situation you are in now would not be worsened.

  • good editing

  • The PAP talks day in and day out, but have they made our problems lesser? I believe they can solve our problems if we support them too, it's no use if we just complain that they can't if we're not doing our part either.

  • @tranris5 - You opposition lackey always insulting , act cocky as usual, and you expect the PAP supporters to cross over? Can the opposition party do a better job than the PAP ? THINK LAH brother , you think its so easy like you talking cock and bull stories, always talk big but know nothing when elected , well, HELL BREAK LOOSE, should we try? Maybe in the next 50 years , just wait long long

  • Unlike Hari Raya , CNY or Xmas, which have religious overtones celebrating the " birth of a savior" , "fasting" in the holy month" etc Deepavali has a political twist. Its celebrates the victory of "good over evil" where the oppressed subjects of evil demonic King Narakasura was liberated (freed) by Lord Krsna.

  • I don't think anyone is or can hijack Deepavali. And what more, this is what political parties do all over the world. When its a festive season they put out messages and remind people that amidst the celebration, we should also remember the state of our nation and citizens.

  • Deepavali symbolises victory of good over evil .. On this day the evil demonic King Narakasura was killed and his subjects liberate ..so deepavalu has has its political twist unlike other festivals liek Hari Raya or CNY

  • i dont know if its astute to hijack deepavali to promulgate a political opinion, however valid.

  • fool

  • It's not a hijack, it's a well wish. Any body or organisation can partake.

    Only fools can't understand.
