  • ppl say that in batman universe the batman is the saddest character... i thing the Joker is the saddest Poor Joker :(

  • Wait.................that's NOT Mark Hamill!? Holy crap, if Arkham City is Mark Hamill's last performance as the Joker, can I nominate this guy to take his place?

  • is this actually joker... reaching out as a human bieng?? i thought he couldnt feel feelings anymore, yet in this comic he shows sadness and HUMANITY?? WHATS GOING ON HERE!!!

  • I almost wanted to cry for the joker here.

  • this is from forrestfire101's lego video. this guy stole the audio from him

  • @ckyfan08 wrong, the audio is from a voice actor the same one forestfire used. He and I were collaborating on a full motion comic of The Killing Joke, but he completely dropped out of the project. This video was posted about a year before Forestfires btw.

  • @Sydpart2 No he got the audio from Patrick Girts

  • very nice job

  • my favourit book

  • IMPRESSION!? I thought it was really Mark Hamil!!!! :o

  • This is awesome

  • is that germany thing true? lmfao if it is...i'd gotta say...people are F'n retarded if thats world killing so many people over hahahaha

  • @WisdomRiver It is and it isn't. Germany was looking for an excuse to start the war and they used that as such. So technically it was but it's not like they actually started a war over just that

  • @Sydpart2 Sort of a half-truth then? Either way, I love this graphic novel.

  • @Sydpart2 -.- brief history lesson: By the Treaty of Versailles Germany was forced to send enormous amounts money and goods (like coal, iron, products) to the victors of WW1 - I hope general knowledge goes at least that far. When Germany failed to deliver some requested telegraph poles, FRANCE used that as an excuse to invade western Germany 1923-1925. Which had a critical impact on the disastrous economical and political situation (hyper-inflation) Germany was in at the dawn of the nazi regime.

  • @WisdomRiver I know now, but imagine how funny that would be? it makes people sound like such idiots hahaha...which most are...not saying you are but, im sure you get what i mean....

  • @WisdomRiver

    lol, it is true.

    That's the joke.

...Don't you see the funny side yet?

    ...hehehe...

  • I swear, I love the Killing Joke, the Joker himself, and of course, Pgirts' voice acting. Does anyone else believe he could continue where Mark Hamill left off? Thank you for putting his voice acting with the comic.

  • @PossessedReaper actually it's "I've heard it before, and it wasn't funny the first time"

  • That was an amazing monologue.

and an even more amazing impression.

  • Fantastic Hamill impression, one could easily be fooled into thinking it was the real mccoy. Very nuanced, musical, and the phrasing is just perfect. Wow.

  • the 3 people who didnt like this are deaf

  • Any chance you can send me this MP3 mate ? I'm loveing his epiphany , just not the same reading it

  • @Sasoriemo I don't have the unedited mp3 anymore, but you could always use zamzar and this or his original video ;)

  • @Sydpart2 Oh mate, if it has the song in back ground , than you've just made my day . Alas, I dont have a clue what Zamzar is

  • What's the song/music you using ?

  • @LMHKroenen its from Batman Returns...not sure what the song title is tho...

  • @Sydpart2 ah okay thx

  • I always loved this sheech from the Joker. I want the comic book so bad. If you want to find it to go to your nearest comic book shop or Barnes and Noble while have it, it's called The Killing Joke in the comic part of the store.

  • @VictoriaBlossom Um...what? I already have it...I was looking for a cbr of the recolored version...

  • Thanks for doing this!

    I love it!

  • Now that is awesome!:D So a friend of yours was doing the voice?IT's AN AWESOME JOKER VOICE!

Fit's with the joker in this book!:D

And was the background music from one of the Tim Burton Batman movies?

    x) Awesome vid! Thanks for sending it to me!

  • @orochimarusgirl541 It's a Mark Hamill impression. Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker actor) voice Joker in the animated series back in the 90's

  • @Sydpart2 Oh, hehe sorry I didn't know that, but thank you for asking!^^

I haven't got to watch much of the animated series.:/ my dads gonna find some, because all the ones I've seen so far are just GREAT!^^

    Thanks again!

  • @iliaHitman47

    Na man thanks anyway

  • @iliaHitman47

Well to be fair they are the same illustrations, yours is just the recolor. I looked everywhere for a cbr of the recolor but unfortunately couldn't find it. Still a great story tho. fuckin Alan Moore...I wish my "crap" was this good.

  • Where did you get the audio

  • @Kieransm09

there's a link to the guy's profile in the description...I think...if not there willlbe within the hour.

  • "Because I've heard it all before, and it wasn't funny the first time."

  • lol I think your like the 3rd person to reply with that

  • I think this proves that Hamill is a fantastic Joker.

  • duh! make sure to check out Pgrits' other stuff. He does a great Hamill Joker

  • wow, this is now my most popular video...3700 views, cool

  • They could do this is Arkham Asylum 2.

  • well since barbera has already ben shot and is wheelchair bowned in the first arkham asylum game, it cant be done. maybe in flash backs but who knows

  • Oh man!! I can definitely tell overall you aren't the Hamill (just made up that nickname, lol), but there were times where it was dead on and I wanted to squeal. :D Kudos!!!

  • make sure to go check out Pgirts, he did the voice ;)

  • I see the funny side of it all the funny thing is they become the very thing that destroyed their lives which is what the joker became despite not wanting to go in crime in the first place. But despite it being a comic book there is quite a point...Just one day can make you crazy insane and murderous

  • Don't knock down literary and philosophical importance just on the basis that it's a comic book.

  • But it true though don't you think lol People do go insane one day all in one day and change and change and change until they find out how unimportant they really are in the world

  • That's possible sometimes. Definitely in truma victims, but more often than not, it takes time.

  • @Sydpart2

exactly! I hate when people think of comic books as "some sort of stupid cartoon".in my opinion they're a literary art form.

plus at one point I think they were considering making an animated adaptation of this or the long halloween for the DC animated dvds

  • Oh yeah man...I've caught a lot of shit for saying they are the best short stories in existence. English professors don't quite appreciate the sentiment. I know an issue of Sandman won an award for best short story of one year and then they made a rule after the award was given that said a comic couldn't receive it anymore. It's just looked down upon for some reason

  • @Sydpart2

I hear you, whenever people put down comics as literature and an artform and say something stupid like "they're just for kids and retards"

it lights a fire under me and I'll always bring up something like Maus, Acme Novelty Library,

    Robert Crumb's Book Of Genesis,

and all of Alan Moore's works etc,

they usually shut up after that.

  • In a way, this is also the case in the movie Postal

  • never seen it...

  • THAT'S FUCKING AWESOME! GREAT JOB!

  • Thanks, make sure to check out Pgirts' channel and let him know what you think.

  • joker is actually making sense for a change

  • eh, he always makes sense if your cynical

  • @dcyadig2 That's when he's scary. If he doesn't make sense, he's not frightening. That's why Saw works too. (Or... y'know... worked...)

  • case and point(s) Laughing fish, dinner with the Arkhams (search it ;))

  • "Because I heard it before...

And it wasn't funny the First time."

    ;)

  • pgirts is frigging uncannily good

  • I deff agree with you, ya wanna help me out and go pester him for Killing Joke lines? lol

  • I would but the man just sent me an audio clip Im making a vid out for my channel lol. He mentions my name in the vid and when I heard it heath ledger could have risen from the dead, put on joker make up, went on oprah and announced his love for me and I wouldnt have been anymore excited as I was with Pgirts track lol

  • haha ok.

  • AWESOME!!!!! I LOVE IT

  • thanks, check out Pgirts :)

  • the background music makes it so much more dramatic

  • yup, it's from the Batman returns soundtrack

  • Aww...you should have let Bats finish his line:

"Because I've heard that joke before. And it wasn't funny the first time"

Lesson: We all snap in our own special way :)

  • Actually working with pgirts(Joker and first guy to comment) on a full audio production of this book. That scene is all done though

  • are you done yet

  • no unfortunately...

  • would really be a nice finishing touch if for the full book version you also use the retouched version of the book, the colouring makes for a far more interesting imagery.

  • I tried but was unable to find the re colored version in a cbr so I just went into photoshop and changed the flashbacks sin city style

  • @capitalmindz

    .

Batman is a dumbass. Fuck him.

  • @AntiEtc hey hey , the lads got some stuff going on . Sure he's no Joker, but when you dig deep down . He's actualy a lovely lad

  • wow, i love this! great comic and a great mark hamill impression :D

  • tell that to pgirts, he did the audio and would love to hear it.

  • Great job on the video. Is pgirts Mark Hamill or is this just an impression? TTYL, HAND, hynmay

  • yeah it's pgirts

  • it's an impression of Mark Hamill

  • :') Thank you for this vid :)

  • one possible small mistake in Pgirt's intepretation...i don't have a copy of the book on hand, but it appears from panel at 2.24 that Joker is saying "war DEBT creditors" (so, the Allied countries who established what was owed to them by Germany after WW1, indirectly leading to WW2), which Pgirts probably read as 'dept'. it doesn't detract much from the reading though.

  • yeah, but that's just because the p and b look similar in the book the way the letters are done. easy mistake :)

  • indeed so :P

  • Oops...you are right. I don't have a copy of the book; I found the monologue online somewhere, so maybe there was typo, or maybe I just can't read. Damn it.

  • lol it's no big deal...how's the song coming btw?

  • Oh snap! I'm privileged!

  • lol what do you mean?

  • I mean I really appreciate you making this video, man. I'm really flattered.

  • Oh, well I'm glad, I just really liked the audio you did and I love this novel so I thought it'd be cool to have the art with the audio, btw have you thought of trying to sing the song he does in this book, cause if you do, I'll put that shit on like 200 cds and it'll prolly have like 20,000 different tribute videos use it for background music.

  • oh, that would be awesome

  • Sub my vids we're working on getting everyone now
