For the long cross country, I think the longest leg has to be over 100 miles or something. I'd have to look it up in the FAR regulations book... my longest cross-country was from ANE to Park Rapids to Little Falls and back. It was a really good trip.
I still rent from TCFT, since it is the easiest option. Maybe in 5 or 10 years I'll purchase my own plane, or maybe join a club... but the costs of joining a club are pretty high and it costs almost the same to rent as it does to join a club... that's what I've found.
The people are very friendly. I trained in this airplane and also a couple of the Piper Warriors (Cherokees) they have. The Warriors are a little cheaper to train in, but I think the Cessna Skyhawks fly a whole lot better. The Cessna 150 is good if you and your instructor together don't weigh more than like 350 total.
Overall, the people are really friendly. Jackie at the desk is very nice! :)

Hey. I enjoyed your video. Does TCFT have financing available?

I took out a loan myself to go through flight school. I'm not sure if they provide financing themselves... but you can certainly pay as you go.

I kinda miss that plane. I trained and did my checkride in that one.

I didnt know you could rent from them, well thanks you've been a lot of help.

I disagree... especially with TCFT. They're probably the most expensive in the metro.

Nice flying, Who are you training with (Twin Cities flight, etc.) And how many hours did you have when you did your first solo?
uspilot92 4 years ago
I was training with Wade Baribeau and I had like 14 hours when I did my first solo. I'm now a private pilot with 70+ hours!

Havent heard of that. Do they have a website?
PS Im starting flying lessions next year at ANE, so Im looking for a place to take them.
uspilot92 4 years ago
Oh yes, I misunderstood the question. Wade Baribeau is with Twin Cities Flight Training. TCFT is a great school, I highly recommend them! :)

Didn't looked like there was much of a flare prior to touchdown. A great video demonstrating the beauty of flight. Keep the videos coming
