I am also going to put my idea out here that I had the other day.

fuel rods need cooling with water, so therefore pumped, 1st fail energy grid, back up gen #1 #2 #3 so on all relying on power to pump said water, so what about having a reservoir higher up in the mountains with water fed under pressure to cool the rods, no moving parts no fuel needed to power generators to pump water and it can be controlled from a distance, flexible pipes in case of earthquakes.
