  • THE SONG IS BETTER IN ITALIAN!!!!

  • Question: If Genie is free, why has he still got those arm bands on?

  • @GAF1987 Thats what i have always wondered.... What was the whole point of the first movie if his bonds just came back?

  • @jkwaffle

I assume it was the way they wanted to draw him, like TheUbberman said "They stylin". Either way it was his freedom from the lamp and being a slave from whom ever rubbed the lamp not from his bracelets. My question is why is a free genie not able to take down one restrained by a lamp, were his powers nerfed by his freedom?

  • @NihilistMonk Well, they said in the beginning of the movie that he was a little more restricted.

  • @GAF1987 They stylin' ?

  • 2+2=5 xD

  • Thumbs up If The Film actually Brought You Here :l

  • Is it me or does Jafar sound exactly like Sideshow Bob? I'm not sure if it's the same actor or they just sound the same.

  • homer is a genie

  • hes evil and he can sing , i think he might be stewie griffen's dad

  • It's funny that Genie is voiced by Dan Castellaneta who voiced Homer Simpson and many other characters from The Simpsons

  • so that's what happens when two reality warpers fight

  • That's the blue version of Homer Simpson

  • Jafar can possibly think of more ingenious ways of using his magic than Geanie can, plus we do have to acknowledge that in addition to being a jinni he is also the most powerful sorcerer in the world

  • @SargonKingOfDarkness And the most pwerfull geanie of the unverse(his last wish)

  • @mangenkiou All powerful is different than most powerful. And the only point that I was trying to make was that his sorcerer powers would probably augment his jinni powers. genie=jinni=djinn differences in translation

  • "Genies can't kill anyone."

I wish that person was in deep space. I wish their lungs were gone. I wish for poison in their veins. I wish they were stuck in the middle of a fire. I wish for a knife in their skull. I wish for a giant rock to appear above them. -_-'

  • @Bobgoober16 But you can't wish them dead. Just to be in a deadly situation.

  • @communistrecords True, but I hardly think that would matter if you just put them in the right situation.

  • @Bobgoober16 Hey vaguely defined rules are vaguely rules. Ya got to fallow them, no matter how easy it is to get around them.

  • Jafar is completely justified in calling Genie out on being bad at his job if he can best him relativly quickly after becoming a Djinn. guess sitting in a lamp too long makes you forget

  • Wow talk about Ego Jafar haha

  • Wow talk about Ego Jafar haha

  • Lol Jafar is hot..

  • Instead of calling it the "Return of Jafar" they should call it "The Return of Ja-fart". this villian just really ticks me off becuase he is so evil and dark. As a kid I used to call him Ja-fart becuase he was a jerk.

  • ...I thought Jafar's, eh, "spirit animal" was a snake, not a spider...

  • Homer Voice?

  • @Schoening91 Yup lol That's him.

  • End of the first movie, Genie is freed.

In this movie, he's still wearing manacles.

    Wat...

  • To be fair, Genie never said he couldn't revive someone, he just said it wasn't a pretty sight. He didn't like doing it. Which means, of course, that he's done it before. Kind of a disturbing thought, but that's besides the point. Still, loved this song as a kid. Still do. One of my favorites.

  • Thumbs Up if u think Jafar sings better than Justin Bieber!!

  • @GoldenEagal575 why on nearly every-video there gotta be douchebag like you who mentions him.

  • @GoldenEagal575 Fuck, the monkey can sing better then Bieber.

  • @GoldenEagal575 my toilet sings better than justin bieber

  • @GoldenEagal575 an egg is better then that fu*ker

  • This is the Disney part of youtube...

  • SPIDERS!!!! BEST LINE EVER LOL

  • 1:14 <<< Genie made a magical music button

  • It was straight-to-video, it's likely going to be low-budget and with the animators not putting enough effort into filming with considerably less special effects than that of a more higher budget film release theatrically. So what do you really expect here?

Along with many other direct-to-video sequels...

  • thombs up if Discord brought you here. XD

  • Five people had their lives ruined.

  • Shame how it took until the second movie for Jafar to get a good song of his own, and then the rest of the movie sucked XD

  • @Thepopcornator He had a song in the first movie as well

  • @YiftertheShifter1 All he had was the reprise of 'Prince Ali', and I think he deserved his own awesome song. They actually did write one for him called 'Humiliate the Boy' (which you can listen to here on YouTube) but they cut it because it didn't really fit his character.

  • @Thepopcornator He also had a song called 'Why Me'. He's a good singer.

  • 1:51 2+2=5...WHAT ARE THEY TEACHING US???

  • This is the ONLY decent song in an otherwise god-awful movie.

  • Is Disney trying to find how devil like they can make someone without actually all out calling them Satan?

  • i love how he says the genie is uneducated in the genie way when genie was a genie way before jafar!

  • Back in the day I didn't realize that Dan Castellaneta voiced the Genie here instead of Robin Williams, but watching this now I can't hear the Genie without hearing Castellaneta's most famous character, Homer Simpson.

  • 1:12 <--- MUSIC BUTTON

  • While I find at least the first two Aladdin movies entertaining, the nerd in me is screaming at how, as a FREE Marid (the most powerful type of Djinn), Genie is considerably weaker than the IMPRISONED Jafar-turned-Ifrit (which, in the Djinn ranks, they're physically staggering, but in terms of sheer magical ability, Marid have them beat). That doubly confused me since, once imprisoned, a Djinn's powers are usually dampened. And the "can't kill or resurrect" thing is bogus as well. >:-P

  • @OrganCollector You should shut that nerd up, then. Because it's getting on my fucking nerves.

  • @OrganCollector Not to mention that Genie made Jaffar into a Djinn, and Jaffar has only been a Djinn for a few years where as Genie has been one for millennia (or was it centuries I can't remember) those factors should combine to mean that Jaffar should only be a fraction as powerful as Genie.

  • @OrganCollector This is because in the first movie Jafar wished "to be the greatest and most powerful Djinn ever". So basically his basic magic is stronger than the blue Djinn's. (sorry i dunno how they are called in english, I saw the movies in my native language finnish)

  • @musicfanxd Like I told ZayLong, compared to the power of even "the most powerful sorcerer in the world", for a mortal to become as powerful as an Ifrit (which really does fit Jafar's fiery personality better than the Water-based Marid [what Genie is supposed to be] would anyways) would BE all-powerful in his mind. Even friendly Djinn are supposed to be notorious for technicalities like that. Besides, I was just venting my inner nerd that day, so I'll quit picking apart a cartoon. :p

  • @OrganCollector yer retarded

  • @Dinocrap1101 Says the person who has"crap" in their name. -_-'

  • @OrganCollector maybe because jafar wished to be "ALL" powerful .

  • @ZayLong Well, to a mortal, to be turned into a Djinn would make them "all-powerful" to begin with. That doesn't necessarily mean he'd be more powerful than any other Djinn. Also, if he were truly all-powerful, then the lamp being destroyed would've merely freed Jafar without destroying him like it did. To be all-powerful means you have no weaknesses. :-)

  • @OrganCollector i dont think the word all powerful suggests no weakness, i think it suggests all power. if it was all impervious, or invincible, then yeah obviously no weakness. An elephant can be super powerful but can still be taken down by a gun. Power, not endurance.

  • @ZayLong That's a good point. *face-palm*

On another note, you and I both could go about this until at least one of our faces turn bluer than Genie's, but it still won't make up for the fact that this is a cartoon whose target audience is children. Not trying to be a bee with an itch, but like what I told musicfanxd, I just decided to let my inner nerd run loose for a few minutes that day, and was just pointing out something that I thought was amiss. I wasn't aiming to be serious. :-p

  • @OrganCollector likewise.

  • @ZayLong All right then, as long as you weren't genuinely upset or anything. I'll stop talking about this stuff now. :-)

  • @OrganCollector Just before he got imprisoned in the end of the first movie, Jafar wished to be an "all-powerful" Djinn. As such he was definitely more powerful than "Aladdin's" blue Genie. The only difference - and the decisive one, too - was that, being shackled, Jafar was ultimately vulnerable and mortal, unlike the weaker, yet indestructible Genie. Genie forever remained superior to Jafar (im)mortality-wise.

  • @claudefrollono1 Ah, that's a good point...What I was saying with my original comment however was that they really messed up the whole Djinn thing to begin with. Then again, it's a cartoon aimed at kids who more-than-likely don't read up on that sort of thing anyways, which is why I decided to just let it drop. Why argue about a bunch of lines and colors put on film anyways? Like I said before, I was just venting my inner supernatural nerd that day. :-P

  • @OrganCollector I didn't want to argue. You oppressed us all with your unfunny know-it-all bullshit, and I hoped my answer would satisfy your craving for attention and shut you up.

  • @claudefrollono1 Erm...You're the one who decided to take offense to what someone else typed up on the Internet, so it seems YOU are the one who has the problem here. As for the whole attention thing...I've better things to do with my time than to sit on the computer all day and Tro-lo-lol. I will not, however, sit idly by whilst someone decides that picking on me for my different opinion is the way to go. Freedom of speech is a human right, after all. ;-)

  • @claudefrollono1 And before you say I'm squishing YOUR right to speak freely, I'm not, at least not intentionally. You're free to believe what you want to believe. But please, don't go about judging others before you get to know their point of view, and where their original train of thought came from.

  • @OrganCollector If you knew your sources you would know that the jinn, the spirits of the desert, are not placed on a simple hierarchy like that. Also, Genie is The Genie of the Lamp, a type of jinn that was bound by powerful magic to a destiny of servitude that appears on the collections of Scheherazade's tales.

  • @bavettesAstartes It seems I need to read the true tale of Aladdin again. I was going by what is generally the norm. Then again, it truly does depend on the terms of the imprisonment, what magic was used to imprison/bind the being, etc. Meh, I posted that about a month ago, so have all but forgot about it until someone goes to reply.

  • @OrganCollector I completely understand. It's not like Youtube comments are anything that serious. But it is surprising to know you are so civilized!

  • @bavettesAstartes Well, thank you. I don't usually bite people's heads off or go out go my way to be a jerk if I can help it. :-P

Allow me to say though, it's refreshing for me to encounter someone who actually has responded with something more solid than "it's what happened in the movie" for their reason to disagree, and has done so without ranting and raving like a rabid chimpanzee. ¬_¬ (No offense to those who don't know anything about this subject outside of said movie).

  • @OrganCollector it was explained that since Jafar was with the lamp he was able to utilize all of his powers while Genie being free was not as powerful, something to do with a check to the Genie's phenomenal cosmic powers.

  • @WallisTylerJ The issue that he is raising is even though Jafar has more powers while tied to the Lamp, Genie technically still should have been just about even with him power wise simply due to his Enormous magical power as a Djinn to begin with.

  • @nox0underling ...Meh, pretty much. Though it's usually the other way around when it comes to power (Free = all potential power undampened, imprisoned = dampened in order to control said Djinn). BUT, again it all depends on the terms of capture, what magic is used to bind the creature, etc. Like I mentioned before. And thank you for pretty much putting it in a nutshell for people. Thumbs-up for you!

  • Wish 1= sultan

Wish 2= most powerful sorcerer in the world

    Wish 3= all powerful genie!

  • Not only is Jafar my favorite disney villain, but this movie is one of my favorite movies as well. Mostly bc Jafar's in it and what he does and all that XD.

  • This song and Jafar's performance is one of the reasons why I love Jafar and have him as my favorite disney villain XD.

  • @krowking123 I'm a big fan of this movie.

  • RIP Disney

  • The jafar song LOL

  • ok, not the biggest fan of this movie, but this song was AWSOME!

  • GRANNY'S GONNA GRAB YA!!!!

  • Where's Altair When you need him?

  • @salmon1pwns getting the Apple of Eden

  • 1:05 hahah

  • Did anyone else notice the blackboard says 2+2=5?

  • @pixychic1313 maybe it was (off screen) 1+2+2=5 ;p

  • I love how this was the sequel to Aladdin, and yet, the animation looks so much worse . . .

  • @lolololgoodtimes That's straight to video sequels for you.

  • @lolololgoodtimes: Sadly, that is true. The first had so much more atmosphere, and the animation should look better, but they don't, but later on, the movie appears even darker(not so much as the 1st one's dark atmosphere though <:o) :).

  • @lolololgoodtimes Yep :\ Straight to dvd. Looks like the same animation as the tv series.

  • @lolololgoodtimes You're right! Ha ha. It looks like it was part of the TV series!

  • @lolololgoodtimes it was done in the cartoon series animation, that's why mate.

  • @lolololgoodtimes what about aladdin and the king of thieves? The animation was better than Return of Jafar at least

  • @lolololgoodtimes In Disney sequels the animation is always worse... name one where the animation is better that the original!!

  • @BlackRose2354 "The Rescuers Down Under"!

To be fair, that was a theatrical release, not a crappy direct-to-video sequel.

  • @fallingmasonry true true

that's really the only one i can think of.

the second pocahontas' animation was pretty good, and so was the second (also one and a half) lion king's, but never surpassing the original..

i guess "the rescuers down under" is the best "sequel"

  • @lolololgoodtimes

and not to mention, Robin Williams not in this one.

    :(

  • im confused... is jafar a genie or an ifrit???

  • @MrMaronias: Jafar looks strangely similar to ifrits, but he wished to be a genie. I guess Disney just wanted a red genie to represent Jafar, and his personality, to oppose the blue good genie ^^. But he's a genie allright :).

  • i want lyric, who has this song please give it to me

    Thank you

  • Why is the Genie suddenly so weaksauce? Does betting wished free come with a major power downgrade?

  • @meticulator Look at the post beneath you. He wished to be the most powerful genie in the world, therefore more powerful than Genie.

  • @SRides96 Actually, he wished to be "An all powerful genie". That doesn't necessarily qualify as the most powerful.

  • @looloopaa

Your right..... He is just as powerful as the old genie. Why?

Because he still is a prisoner of the lamp, Could not kill people or ressurect them. Basicly he can do the same things as the Genie when he was'nt yet set free.

  • @looloopaa: Very true.

  • @meticulator yea he said it in the begging that his power is only semi phenomenal nearly cosmic power. unlike Jafar which phenomenal cosmic power

  • best part of the movie11

  • I really do know some people I could dedicate this song to.

  • Wasn't Genie's freedom marked by the loss of his wrist braces in the first movie? I don't understand why he has them in this one.

  • @samdec11: Me neither actualy haha XD. Maybe something they didn't think about when they made the film? :)

  • one question: why is jafar so much stronger than genie?? i never understood why...

  • @MrMaronias

Well Mr Maronias, it because in the first movie Genie was freed, which caused him to lose a great chunk of his almighty power. Now when Jafar became a Genie bonded by the Genie law, he gained the almighty power, that Genie once had

To make it simpler Freed Genie = Weak Genie and Non Freed Genie = Strong Genie lol

  • @acendabove No, if you remember well the wish of Jafar, he wished to be the most powerful genie in the whole world... just... simple as that! XP

  • @tosswartul: ''I wish to be an allpowerful genieeee >:D!'' THAT was what he wished for, not what you said. Sorry. Otherwise, you can look up Aladdin 1 and you'll see that when you come to the part where Jafar is about to wish to become a genie, he'll say: ''Genie, my third wish, I wish to become an allpowerful genieeee >:D!'' In case you don't believe me, and claim that I am misinformed, go check it up yourself first. If you wish ofc ^^. Cheers and God bless you :D.

  • @tosswartul wrong... He wished the to be an all powerful genie. All a genie is as a powerful majical being. They were at equal when he made that wish. its just when genie became free he lost his power to semi phenomenal nearly cosmic powers now..

  • @acendabove: But, if you read the mythology/history/myths/legends/stories/etc. about genies, jinns, ifrits, etc. you'll think that this shouldn't be the case, since those spiritual beings were often trapped inside different objects that were of the material the spirits were weak against, which worked perfect as the spirits' prison, so that they could not harm any more people. Usualy sorcerers, magicians or priests trapped the jinns and ifrits.

  • @acendabove: So, that would mean that the spirits would be as powerful as they would be before they were imprisoned, and after they'd become freed, unless the object they'd be trapped inside weakened them slightly, moderately or greatly, depending on the time they were trapped. : /

  • "This could use some secret herbs and spices."

    KFC reference.

  • why jennie lose that fking bitch

  • Is Genie voice by the guy who voices Homer Simpson or something?! (never saw this movie)

  • @BloodSonicFlux Yup. Dan Castellaneta did the voice of Genie

  • 3 people are simply out of date. They're only second rate.

  • That look of Jafar's costume should have beenworn on kh2. That would have been awsome.

  • This was the only straight-to-video Disney sequel I ever thought was BITCHIN'!!!!!!

  • I get that since Jafar is stronger then Genie because Genie lost alot of his power when he was set free, but It's suprising Jafar has as much control over his powers as he has.

  • I love the Genie

  • @Holocostz: Who doesn't, eye? ;D Haha ^^

  • Seriously, if there's only one thing I can count on in a Disney movie, it's that the villain will ALWAYS have the most epic song(s) in the film.

  • @VenathTehN3RD: Amen to that XD.

  • The Bowser of Alladin (sorry if I spelled that wrong).

  • @toobinrkr1 expect Jasmine (Peach) isnt being kidnapped everytime Alladin (Mario) takes his eyes of her XD

  • Hy Jafar, Satan called: He said vacation's over.

  • xDD the jafar song xD Genius!

  • Comment removed

  • Love the drums

  • Even though the underwear line and Homer's voice is UNGODLY distracting.. I like this movie. XD Not as good as the first for third, but it's not bad.

  • Lmao Ashley Holmes I can't even deal right now!!!!!

  • i think that jafar is a pretty cool kid.

  • wow, this doesn't hold a candle to the first movie....the animations are actually worse...

  • @chris200830 It was straight to video. If I recall correctly, this movie was only designed to launch the tv series.

  • @chris200830: Sadly, yes :(. But the movie is still gr8 :D.

  • I love the wardrobe change.

  • Jafar is always gonna be the best disney villian!

  • man, Genie has gotten SO much WEAKER, when he freed, he was almighty and powerful when he was locked in the lamp, really weird

  • @vergilheartnet Well, he IS out of practice. He hasn't granted any wishes in a long time.

  • @vergilheartnet When a genie is freed he loses his cosmic powers, whereas jafar is still trapped to the lamp he have the power over those things.

  • @vergilheartnet: Well, it's just that the genies, in Disney's version of Aladdin atleast :P, grow ever weaker until they don't fully control their inherent powers anymore, when they become free.

  • I love the animation in the Aladdin movies. They're so creative :)

  • Jafar's only defense is his stupidity

  • I love this song! Jafar = best villain of all times. ^^

  • am i the only person to have loved this movie?

  • @stimms212 Of course not. I don't see why anyone wouldn't love this movie. It's way better than that awful 3rd movie, King of Thieves.

  • @ArcticNinjaXXI: Although I do like the King of Thieves, I prefer the Return of Jafar by far(rofl, ''Jafar by far'' XD, sounds silly to say lol). But I actualy like/love all Disney Aladdin movies to be honest :D. It's just the way it is hehe ^^.

  • @stimms212 Eenope.

  • @stimms212 Maybe it's just you and me.

  • @stimms212 Nope, you're not the only one.

    :)

  • things could get ugly

  • This movie sucked. the song was Okay but i think the prince ali reprise was much better

  • hmm.... 7 villians .......who would win on being the most evil

    #1 jafar

    #2 scar

#3 oogie boogie & lock shot barrel

#4 mephiless the dark (sonic bad guy)

    #5 eggman

    #6 the joker

    #7melificent

so folks who wins in being the most evil & ruthless villian?

  • @waluigiland I believe Frollo for the Hunchback of Notre Dame would win

  • @waluigiland Scar
