  • Thanks to this video my 4 yr old boy can't wait to drive monster trucks and crush stuff. Right now he is stuck in a hot wheels car. :)

  • just wanted to say thx.my 3yr old nephew is a fan and loves your videos.

  • Whats the tank track thing at 3:48 ?

  • @cornflakes002 The tracked vehicle at 3:48 is "Bigfoot Fastrax."

  • 3:35 thats right toy dont get beat by the shuttle

  • Boing, boing, boing, BREAK

  • monster trucks were cooler in the 80s

  • once again, great footage compilation,

what truck is at 2:16? is it same truck that was racing aerostar monster truck?

  • The monster truck at 2:16 is "The Toy," owned and driven by Joe Renke. It is the same truck that was racing the Ford Aerostar, Bigfoot Shuttle, in the clip at 3:31.

  • Damn the trucks of the 80's ripped way harder than the trucks of today!!!

  • They should have an organization for Vintage monster trucks. Bring back the old school trucks!

  • Good video, but god damn Drowning Pool is a horrible band. Every single one of their songs is made up of terrible riffs played so badly and with so much disto noise they sounds like an 80's TV with a broken antenna

I'm seriously no sucker for technical music but this guy's guitar sounds like a wide open tap. I can't believe how bad Drowning Pool actually is and I hate this band, I wish Youtube let the other song...

  • what is the name of the black ford ranger @ 2:27?

  • The black ford ranger at 2:27 is called "Lon-Ranger."

  • I miss "Rock You Like A Hurricane". It definitely went with the video. IMO the new song seems out of place. But hey, it's better than no video at all!

  • that stupid

  • Very sad that all those old mucle cars that got crushed in those times. An whats sad is the drivers of those devil thangs do not even care. Its time that we stand an fight so we can save what old classic we still got left.

  • Umm, they're crushing station wagons and lincolns... yup real classics there, they bring in the millions at Barret-Jackson if you do spot a muscle car, please comment the time spot

  • Well they might have been broken down.

  • Yeah, it is sad, and I'm sure they did end up crushing a lot of savable, classic iron in those days, but, honestly, what can we do about it now? All we can do is say, "It's a shame." Who would have thought that 318 Plymouth Satellites and 350 2bbl Olds Cutlasses would be as valuable as they are today. Maybe the kids of today will look back in the future and ask why we didn't care that they're now crushing Tempos, Cavaliers and Civics. Who has that kind of foresight?

  • Now these are the REAL monster trucks. Full frame/steel body bad ass machines. I wish they'de bring back the tank monster trucks too.

  • A notice to those viewing this video, the song listed at the end of the video (the original song in the video), "Rock You Like A Hurricane," by the Scorpions, has been replaced with "Sermon," by Drowning Pool, due to issues with the original song.

  • Although trucks now are amazing pieces of engineering technology looking back and watching these videos still give me an amazing rush that trucks today do not. Nothing can beat an old steel-body monster.

  • want y'all just accecept monster tucks for wat they are and stop bitchin

  • damn those trucks are stif lol.

    nek injury heaven lol.

  • Awesome! Period.

  • ahh the days when a monster truck was just that, a monster TRUCK! not a monster welded chassis with plastic body pieces on it.

  • Yeah, but they're SO MUCH safer!! Did you EVER think of that!?!

  • u being sarcastic? hope u r. u gettin thumbs downs

  • Back when they actually had truck bodies, leaf springs, chrome and personality. Nice work

  • the trucks with moters in the front rock

  • how do you make these i want to make one.with a different song

  • Take an old pickup truck, beef up the chassis, weld a roll cage into it, buy some big tires.....LOL

  • these look so much cooler i think, big engines sticking out metal bodies chrome AWESOME

  • man suspension technology sucked back then! Every time they even touched the ground it would bounce back 9ft. It's amazing they could even control them at all.

  • I remember those days. When they used real steel truck bodies.

  • i like video it old school especially the monster truck in 2:25.

  • thx

  • whats that truck at 2:25?

  • That's Mike Welch's Super Pete truck.

  • Ive got an old monster truck mag thats got Super Pete in it. Pretty cool looking machine.

  • 80s trucks rule, the modern ones suck.

  • i love old school trucks....they look more like real trucks that are giant

  • See this is what Monster Trucks are about. Crushing cars. Now days the cars are pre-crushed and they get jumped over. Thanks for putting on some old school trucks for us.

  • Sure maybee at the "monster jamborees", but if you go to the real monster truck shows, tractor pulls (like the one they have here). The cars don't even have ramps leading up to them. Then the freestyle is the best, that's when the driver gets to do whatever he/or she wants, and they bring out the realy cool stuff to crush (busses, semi trucks, ect)

  • lol that was best wideo!!!! i love monster trucks !!!!!

  • what truck at 2:22?

  • The black truck in the clip starting at 2:22 is Gary Bauer's Lon Ranger.

  • thanks

  • its gotta be so kickass to f*** up your truck and still win

  • whats the name of the truck thats on 2:09 - 2:11?

  • That's Gary Bauer's Lon Ranger truck.

  • what's the truck in 2:24 to 2:26

  • That's the Super Pete truck, owned & driven by Mike Welch.

  • ok thanks

  • Back when monster trucks actually CRUSHED car >:D

I'm so lucky I was at just the right age for growing up with monster trucks.

  • whats the song called good vid love the usa-1

  • The song is "Rock You Like A Hurricaine," by The Scorpions.

  • OMG the clip at 3:25 brings back memories.. i dont know where from though

i think i used to have a vid called Racing To the Finish from MTRA.. that was probly the BEST 80's vid.. u should get it if u dont have it

  • The clip at 3:25 is from Pontiac, MI in 1987.

  • thanks for the info

  • lameass

  • great vid

  • They bounced around a lot! Gotta Love those leaf Springs.. I like the old vids, brings back memories.

  • I love the monster trucks. The big problem in the uk is we don't get hem often. The reason for jumping cars and not crushing is due to the some stupid laws about scrap cars, of at least that's what I read. Polititions; making the world a more dull place

  • these are some best picts i seeen back when monster trucks were still trucks

  • The Scorpions - Rock You Like A Hurricane (1984) AWESOME SONG!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I completely agree with you, RyanWebb304. Monster Trucks are built to crush, not fly. I thought aircrafts was built to fly, not Monster Trucks!

  • WAS DINIS ANDERSON THERE?

  • Dennis Anderson was in the clips at 00:10 (St. Paul, MN 1986), 00:28 (St. Paul, MN 1989), 00:35 (Roanoke, VA 1990, mistakenly put in there, lol), 00:44 (St. Paul, MN 1986), 1:00 (Hampton, VA 1988), 1:18 (Louisville, KY 1989, I think), 1:28 (Houston, TX 1987), 2:59 (Charleston, WV 1990, again, mistakenly put in there), 3:03 (Louisville, KY 1988, I think), 3:09, 3:57 (St. Paul, MN 1986), and at 4:05.

  • amen. These are the good ole days where you would oh and awe. Don't get me wrong, high flying 4x4 machines are awesome but com'on, back then, crushing cars were sweet and now, all they do is just WEEEEEEE, fly all over em. Like I said, I like the old style BUT todays freestyle of monster trucks in just insane, the velocity, the wheel stands, the air, the damage they do, just insane.

    great vid!

  • amen. 2 monster truck legends, and 2 of the best monster trucks in history

  • Ace, when monster trucks were just normal pick-ups with big wheels! Love it!

  • I have more than 3/4 of these on tape that I used to watch when i was a kid. 88-94is basically when its from. What memories, when monster trucks actually crushed the cars instead of fly over them

  • I have been waiting for someone to do some of these, great job. Does anyone know where you could get some vintage footage on DVD anywhere?

  • Monster trucks with leaf springs are so bouncy. :)

I have tons of 80's monster truck footage on tape.

  • Excellen job!! This is the best one!!

  • do more like this they are awsome the good ole boys in the good ole days

  • Speed hasn't shown old races,Monster Jam usually has a short segment on the monster truck related history of a particular arena.

  • it did in 2004

  • great stuff. Umm since when did Speed Channel play old races?

  • magnificent!

  • This is insanly making me miss the good ole days

  • Awesome!
