The monster truck at 2:16 is "The Toy," owned and driven by Joe Renke. It is the same truck that was racing the Ford Aerostar, Bigfoot Shuttle, in the clip at 3:31.
Good video, but god damn Drowning Pool is a horrible band. Every single one of their songs is made up of terrible riffs played so badly and with so much disto noise they sounds like an 80's TV with a broken antenna
I'm seriously no sucker for technical music but this guy's guitar sounds like a wide open tap. I can't believe how bad Drowning Pool actually is and I hate this band, I wish Youtube let the other song...
I miss "Rock You Like A Hurricane". It definitely went with the video. IMO the new song seems out of place. But hey, it's better than no video at all!
Very sad that all those old mucle cars that got crushed in those times. An whats sad is the drivers of those devil thangs do not even care. Its time that we stand an fight so we can save what old classic we still got left.
Umm, they're crushing station wagons and lincolns... yup real classics there, they bring in the millions at Barret-Jackson if you do spot a muscle car, please comment the time spot
Yeah, it is sad, and I'm sure they did end up crushing a lot of savable, classic iron in those days, but, honestly, what can we do about it now? All we can do is say, "It's a shame." Who would have thought that 318 Plymouth Satellites and 350 2bbl Olds Cutlasses would be as valuable as they are today. Maybe the kids of today will look back in the future and ask why we didn't care that they're now crushing Tempos, Cavaliers and Civics. Who has that kind of foresight?
A notice to those viewing this video, the song listed at the end of the video (the original song in the video), "Rock You Like A Hurricane," by the Scorpions, has been replaced with "Sermon," by Drowning Pool, due to issues with the original song.
Although trucks now are amazing pieces of engineering technology looking back and watching these videos still give me an amazing rush that trucks today do not. Nothing can beat an old steel-body monster.
man suspension technology sucked back then! Every time they even touched the ground it would bounce back 9ft. It's amazing they could even control them at all.
See this is what Monster Trucks are about. Crushing cars. Now days the cars are pre-crushed and they get jumped over. Thanks for putting on some old school trucks for us.
Sure maybee at the "monster jamborees", but if you go to the real monster truck shows, tractor pulls (like the one they have here). The cars don't even have ramps leading up to them. Then the freestyle is the best, that's when the driver gets to do whatever he/or she wants, and they bring out the realy cool stuff to crush (busses, semi trucks, ect)
I love the monster trucks. The big problem in the uk is we don't get hem often. The reason for jumping cars and not crushing is due to the some stupid laws about scrap cars, of at least that's what I read. Polititions; making the world a more dull place
Dennis Anderson was in the clips at 00:10 (St. Paul, MN 1986), 00:28 (St. Paul, MN 1989), 00:35 (Roanoke, VA 1990, mistakenly put in there, lol), 00:44 (St. Paul, MN 1986), 1:00 (Hampton, VA 1988), 1:18 (Louisville, KY 1989, I think), 1:28 (Houston, TX 1987), 2:59 (Charleston, WV 1990, again, mistakenly put in there), 3:03 (Louisville, KY 1988, I think), 3:09, 3:57 (St. Paul, MN 1986), and at 4:05.
amen. These are the good ole days where you would oh and awe. Don't get me wrong, high flying 4x4 machines are awesome but com'on, back then, crushing cars were sweet and now, all they do is just WEEEEEEE, fly all over em. Like I said, I like the old style BUT todays freestyle of monster trucks in just insane, the velocity, the wheel stands, the air, the damage they do, just insane.
I have more than 3/4 of these on tape that I used to watch when i was a kid. 88-94is basically when its from. What memories, when monster trucks actually crushed the cars instead of fly over them
Thanks to this video my 4 yr old boy can't wait to drive monster trucks and crush stuff. Right now he is stuck in a hot wheels car. :)
