  • I just played this over and over again for about four hours straight, while browsing and doing other stuff in the background. :)

  • This is a incomplete soundtrack. I wish someone would post the whole ost.

  • I heard this in SWTOR. Nostalgia was had.

  • i like kotor 2 ost much more

never actually liked the soundtrack of the first one

  • Kotor I and II are my favorite games. Had them for years. Never get old somehow. I like the Kotor II soundtrack. It's perfect for the game.

  • i dont like this version is darkside but i love it lol

  • "Always a pleasure, Vrook. I see you still have your cheery disposition"

  • This planet has gone through hell This is the planet darth vader Blew UP!!!!!!! in episode 4...

  • @SwowingHard no Vader blew up Alderaan, not Dantooine. But the Vong f'd it up bad NJO.....

  • @DarthRevanFTW o thanx and if you want good news Darth Revan is returning in the old republic.

  • @DarthRevanFTW That's one of the billion or so reasons I hate the Vong. I don't even consider their part of the EU to be canon. Star Wars is a space epic, not a horror movie.

  • @SwowingHard no that was alderann

  • Lol, from 0.33 It always says "Iicaro Iicaaroo, Iicaro Iicaaroo" with opera like singing voice in my head, can't get it out once you hear it too.

  • Its funny, to see KOTOR I and II work so well together yet be completely different at the same time. KOTOR I chooses in KOTOR II are mild at best and only three important suggestions at the beginning make this a great soon to be trilogy with an ever expanding story arc. BioWare is an will always be the forefront of post-modern game story developers that rival classical gaming of early age gaming.

  • Much better than star wars movie music more dark less annoyingly bouncy

  • This game, with all of its flaws, remains one of the best, and has the best soundtrack of any game ever made. Now that's saying something

  • this song builds up a great atmosphere on dantooine, you actually can feel the results of kotor 1 and the war. a torn and destroyed world suffering from the war and you're on it. Wow, i love this game.

  • This song pretty much shows how fucked up is Dantooine after being bombarded by Malak during the "Jedi Civil War"

Bandits everywhere oppresing the defendless farmers, the jedi are gone forever and everyone is scared of them because they wrongly think they are the same as the shit.

    But there's still hope...

  • @idkfa7500 Very well said!

    Star Wars for the win.

  • awesome theme. dark muisc matchs Kotor (even though i never played any of them :'( )

  • You should play them. They are both great..

  • yep, i would have to play them for PC (i had a chance to buy kotor ii but got planet hulk instead.. it was okay but could have been better so i regret not getting kotor)

  • thy both have great music, think of the music when you return to the enclave in kotor 2

  • @alsanchakk that bit was sad :(

  • I like this but I prefer Kotor 1 sound track over Kotor 2. kotor 2 has this edgy feeling Kotor has more of a releaxing feeling

  • I would add that KotOR 2's soundtrack is creepy compared to KotOR's. There is more "scary" songs and songs that have a bit tragic in them in KotOR 2. And yes, KotOR have more relaxing songs (Manaan Ahto City, Dantooine, Jedi Enclave, Tatooine Dune Sea, Taris Upper City), and more patriotic or war-like songs like the Sith Theme, Darth Malak's theme and the Republic Theme.

And I love both KotOR's and KotOR 2's music. :)

  • I like the edgy feeling. It's mysterious and sad. Just how I like it! It adds some depth in my opinion. I've heard a million trumpet fanfairs in my life. I need some more base clarinet, violin, and *sadder* trumpet.

  • Amen!!! Finally some people who understand.

  • There's something sickening but awesome about this song. It sounds so twisted and wrong, yet so beautiful.

  • Noticeably more darker than the theme from the first game and should be. The sith sacked the planet and killed the jedi. But thank god that yoda jedi master dude survived whatever his name was :P he was awesome

  • His name was Vandar, and he died on another planet, destroyed by Dath Nihilus.

  • Probably Katarr

  • It was

  • when i play light side its boring but a little funny and you convince your friends faster. when i play dark side im happy that i can use my anger on a game and laugh on death. (not kiding) HHAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAa

  • *whole

  • I beat the Othorian by the hangar, and got some pretty great armourments to add for your robes and such.

  • I wish Merhawk would get to fixing these videos... goddammit, it's so annoying to think "Oh, wow! This one is over FOUR MINUTES LONG!" and come to a music track that's only 55 SECONDS long, plus the 4 minutes of total silience.

  • in the game sometimes you can hear a chainsaw.

  • When?

  • Somewhere at random times in Dantooine. I used to think my neighbors were just being stupid, then I realized it was front the game. That same noise is in Battlefont 2.

Do you play this game on PC?

  • Yeah I always wondered what the heck it was supposed to be. I figured it was like some giant bug or robot or something like that. Or maybe its just a guy with a chainsaw. XD

  • You can hear that same sound in Star Wars Battlefront 2 in the Mos Eisley battleground.

  • no you cant battlefront 2 contents john williams music only

  • I never said the chainsaw noise was part of the music.

  • oh i understand i thought you meant the music

  • No hard feelings.

I'm still wondering what it is though that makes that noise.

  • Do you mean that clicking noise? that's on Dantooine in KOTOR II and in Mos Eisley in Battlefront II and on Tatooine in Bounty Hunter?

You know I've been wondering what that is I think it's some animal

  • Clicking? It sounded more like a chainsaw, and I've never played Bounty Hunter.

  • you should it's a great game.

  • @jediking12 That clicking noise that appears in the those Star Wars games is actually a soundbite of the big frog that burps in Return of the Jedi, with Jabba's Palace in the background.

  • I preffered Dantooine's music in KOTOR I than in II. This one is good, though.

Erm, hey, Merhawk, why does the music always stop half way? Isn't there a way you can shorten it, a little?

  • Totally agree. Dantooine from Kotor I rocked my socks.

  • I say we should have a big loop for these songs

  • @Yatef

yes kotor 1 was most relaxing :)

  • @Yatef Me too, but don't you think it's fitting? On the first game, Dantooine was a ripe world with pure greeny fields, healthy sunlight and a temple to attune oneself to the Force. On the second, it is all the ghosts of what it was in the past: the destruction of the jedi academy, the death of the jedi, the absence of a safe haven.

  • @Cybertoco True.

  • People who say KOTOR 2's music is grim is because it should be. You are going back to a planet which was destroyed by the sith. When you look at some of these worlds, you see the Jedi who were destroyed and you realize you are the only one left

  • Exactly. I prefer the darker, creepier KOTOR II music to the original KOTOR. However, you are right. KOTOR II is a much darker game than the original. You have to realize that Dantooine was destroyed.

  • Yeah because KOTOR II is a follow up on Revan's and Malak's destruction upon the Republic. You're going to find depression, destruction, and corruption across the Republic. Which is one of the reasons I like KOTOR II, it's just more interesting.

  • yes exactly what i was thinking ^^

i love the darkness of KOTOR 2...

  • @Evananer True that my friend.

  • This music is darker because maybe all the jedi had been whiped from the planet by the events taking place in kotor 1? The music fits very well to the story, creating exactly those feelings burried inside you when visiting dantooine once again.

The kotor 1 had a more enjoyable story i think; at least everything wasn't all dark and dead.. In kotor 1 the planet was filled with jedi, peace and force. Ofc it was bound to be a more cheerful, relaxing soundtrack. But kotor 1 was better, overall.

  • @clypxy yeahhh yo the sith are fuked up lol i did the lightside ending to make everything cheerful again=)

  • Vrook is a total moron...he's mean, and I don't like him at all....It didn't take me that long either, but I agree with NaturalSelection2, the original Dantooine music was better...I liked the music out in the fields...peaceful...

  • YOu know what finding those Jedi were pointless I Thought if we find all 3 (Not including Korriban) we will fight Sion but they are mean and Strict so I LOLED When Kreia killed them serves them right

  • That's because you got stronger while finding them... If you'd fight Kreia right after the Polar Region you'd fall!

  • I really like the music in both games, but the problem with the music in KOTOR II is that it is always dark and gloomy regardless of whether it was appropriate. The Alto city and Dantooine tracks from the first one are very relaxing, and rightly so.

And yeah, the Jedi in KOTOR II were pricks.

  • I actually kinda liked Kavar though, he was the best of the Jedi you had to find...

But you are right, the music is pretty much always minor no matter what.

They also should have had more Carth in this game. I almost cried when the only Carth parts were the message and on Telos....

  • cause its about the sith, who make the world dark and gloomy

  • Yep, they tend to do that. It's a great soundtrack, and a great game...but I just prefer KOTOR I's lightness. ...And light side. Yay! ^^

  • For some reason I just prefer the original (KOTOR) Dantooine music.

  • not me just go to cave, get some crystals, save/fight vrook, and defend/destroy the base there...:) but ther r some other things there u can do too, wich will take a long time

  • Dantooine took a long time to get past for me
