Lives in the ox from birth 1990 till 98 if im correct ..im always going back though ..Now I've lived in Portland Or since...I love my City of CHIQUES!!!!
It's totally changed from the 60's..!! I remember Gonzales Rd being a 2 lane road with very tall eucalyptus trees lining both sides of the road for blocks. No shopping malls or auto centers. And tons of strawberry and vegetable fields as far as you could see.
@titanium9000 - wow that's nice to know. i know the feeling of seeing how places change overtime. i have quite a few old videos of certain places and I can't wait to film them again after years. :)
Yeah, I used to live in Oxnard, grew up there and went to Channel Islands, Hueneme High Schools, Haydock Jr High and also Elm Street Elementary. I loved it there but got older and had to leave due to work. I sure miss Channel Islands Harbor and all the great fishing it offers. Thanks for sharing your video, brings back memories.
Wow really, it would have been more appealing then if it still has fields and the wagon wheel. But I guess that's the result of population growth, more and more land are being turned into housing. Same thing is happening here in the Philippines.
demarcjw, I was in the Philippines (Subic Bay) 1981,82, and 83 when my ship was there. The longest we stayed there was about 2 weeks. I used to visit Olongapo quite often. airjor1
Oh cool man, so you've been to the Philippines. Nice to hear that, I haven't been on Subic Bay but I heard it's a very clean place and still lots of americans, hehe. I should try visiting the place and take videos. You don't have plans to coming back to the Philippines for a vacation?
