@gr4ndhustle i think very subtle upper lips and less conservative lower lip augmentation is the key to make lips look natural even when augmented. most people put way too much in the upper lip or create bad borders. you are only seeing the bad results. if they are good, they go undetectable. check out my work on lamfacialplastics [dot com] before you pass final judgment.

@groovysherrie65 i do permanent injections all the time and do not get these kinds of results. unfortunately, there are practitioners out there who do not know what they are doing with permanent injectables.

@samlammd I still feel it's foolish. Unless someone has a deformity that truly seperates them from society, there's no reason to chance bad results. I have jowls, rings under my eyes and wrinkles, but I'm not going to chance putting foreign substances in my skin in the hopes of looking better. I want to look like the wiser and older person I am. It's good that someone is out there trying to fix damage that is done, but if these persons had not risked surgery they wouldn't need you.

@groovysherrie65 that is a valid opinion. not everyone needs to have cosmetic surgery or desires it. for those who want to look refreshed, rested, youthful, softer, fillers both temporary (restylane) or permanent (fat transfer) can be a safe way to go iN THE RIGHT HANDS. btw, i do not use silicone in the face for rejuvenation. i just use it for lip augmentation because done right it is totally soft and natural looking. hard to believe seeing these results but i get very safe results.

Hello Dr Lam, I have a question ,i have sort of the same lump in the middle of my lips just like her, mine due to hylaform injections, but mine isnt droopy, mine is like a fat bump that projects foward instead of downward in the middle of the upper lip. what do you think can be done ? Thanks

@Markofitch if it is hylaform that is incredibly easy and inexpensive to take care of. a little hyaluronidase will take care of it and reverse the problem within 3 to 24 hours, all without an incision.

@Besos41 nobody wants to look like daffy duck unfortunately you do not know what you are going to get untill the swelling goes down. If she wanted to look like Daffy duck, she would not have had them reduced.

unfortunately, i have only real experience with lip reductions to "remove" product. not so much in the folds. i feel that may be risky although i do people do it. i personally would not recommend it.

if your lip is too big, making it bigger may be more of a problem. sometimes you need to bite the bullet and just have it reduced. thanks for the nice words! hope i can help you in the future.
