This is actually a pretty neat truck, especially when two manufacturers worked together to produce it! The new control console looks fancy, as well as the whole design of the body. I bet there'll be plenty of these on the streets soon.
McNeilus worked with Pendpac to take the great concept of their arm - combined with a full-eject McNeilus body- to the next level. The combination of these two is very smooth, even with a route loaded with snow-coned cans. The follower is also very fast to prevent hopper bridging. All in all, a smooth and simple machine that mechanics and drivers will quickly fall in love with - Jeffry (McNeilus Marketing)
Looks like McNeilus have got a good new truck. I thought that the arm was a Pendpac arm. These arms are superior to the Amrep arms as the are softer on the bin and not as fast when they dump the bin. Also has a Pendulum Packer. Its interesting how it has a pendulum packer, and is also a full-eject truck.
these are the exact same as PendPac arms, they just bought the design of them, and im pretty sure this truck has a typical ram style packer, not a pendelum. otherwise its basically a complete replica of an entire PendPac lol
I see what you mean now, the hopper is curved which makes it look like it has a Pendulum Packer. But your right, its just a ram with a follower that looks like a Pendulum, hopefully it can keep up better than the Autoreach packer does. The Autoreach's packer isn't bad all the time, it just seems to be a bit slow and can't cope sometimes.
haha yea, i saw saw the curve shel and thought that for a second aswell, but the fact that there was a follower pannel made no sence to me, then i realized it is a standard ram style packer lol
Wow! what an awesome truck.

Pendpac sold their arm to McNeilus thats why.

Did Pendpac just sell McNeilus some manufacturing rights, while Pendpac still hold the original patenet own the rights to the arm's design?

Yes correct.
