@CLx2NE1 Yes they can eat popcorn! Just put NO salt or butter on it! Think about it. Popcorn is simply raw corn ( which can be found in most rabbit food bags) but cooked! However I don't think feeding them nothing BUT popcorn is very healthy! They might get fat. <3

Popcorn itself is just corn that has been heated until it has popped ... hence, "popcorn". Corn itself is not the best thing to be feeding a rabbit due to the high starch content, but as a snack, sure why not.

@ElementWoIf I have popcorn treats for my bunny. I actually have little cob corn that you put in the microwave and let it pop. Then you have to wait for it to cool down and the bunny has some bunny popcorn and it also has a nice cob of corn to chew on as well. :'3 My Fufu loves them.

Given this video isn't called 'I fed my Bunnie popcorn and it died' Its safe to assume the lil' bugger is able to digest it well enough...

This is cute, but some people who say "rabbits have right to eat popcorn" don't know about rabbits so much...Some snacks / vegetables can be poisonous to rabbits, like chocolates, garlic, and avocados...And any human snacks. Those are made for humans. If we hope rabbits will live long and stay healthy, we should choose food for them, cause they have only us to have their food from.

@Whitewolfz100 I gave my bunny some compound feed that included corn. He got really sick and if i hadn't took him to the vet right away, he could have died.

And they are certainly not allowed to eat any kind of nuts. I feel really sorry for your bunns, but it's not too lake. You can check the bunny food allowed and forbidden

@Dupiku dude my angora lop is allergic to hay and lucerne. what do u think i feed him? 4 cobs of corn a week, plenty of fresh corriander and parley, a few cruskits as a treat and some apple and banana. dried pinapple and or pawpaw to get his stomach working to do the job hay does. ive had rabbits all my life. i know what they can have and what they cant. perhaps your rabbit had an intolerence to corn as mine has one to hay. for the record... my little guy is happy and healthy and not overweight

My bunnies never had any problems eating "Human Food" such as Popcorn, Peanuts, etc. They are perfectly fine and nothing happened to them when they ate it.

CUTE! I can't imagine how popcorn would hurt but ... one evening I gave my Lab-Mix doggie sweet potato skins after dinner. Her face swelled up badly. During another dinner, I gave her son an oyster from the "Homemade Oyster Soup" & his face swelled up. Who would 'a thunk? Oh. Bunnies beg? Didn't know that. ;)

@WireBodyArt I wouldn't exactly give an animal homemade oyster soup or potato skins (unless it was raw potato skin, but even then, nope) my rabbit would come running towards you if you had a plastic shopping bag, or a bag of chips, or even just crumpling a sheet of paper. she thinks there's food around! she would stand up on hinds and walk/hop kinda pawing at your shins. if you were wearing long pants she would try to climb up your leg. she was a netherland dutch dwarf. very spunky.

@paigebasketcase rabbits can eat anything that isnt labeled as poisonous so long as you give them the proper things for digestion (unlimited hay, pineapple enzyme, water..) my rabbit lived for some 8 years eating crackers, popcorn (even some with salt and butter. not like i gave them a bowl of it but a few pieces so they could stop begging), chips (plain potato; wise brand is so oily it helps her push out clean stools lol), very small quantities of chocolate (half of a piece of hersheys), etc.

@paigebasketcase chocolate is only poisonous in copious amounts. for some animals it can be used to induce vomiting (dogs for example) that bowl is both small and not that bad. if anything that's probably a quarter a cup of popcorn (as in uncooked kernels) that this fellow is nomming on. it's fine.

@duckieeXXOO yes , they have sharp teeth , but they usually don't bite. If you love your bunny it will love you too , rabbit must be seriously scared to bit you. They don't like getting on hands cause they are scared of high. When you got your bunny don't touch it , he must get to new place. Give him a carrot from hands and after some time bunny will come to you lick. And you will have cute little friend : )

Ok, look. It is okay for bunnies to eat dried corn kernels, like many other seeds. If you pop the kernels, it's not suddenly poison. As long as there's nothing like butter flavor, it's fine. It does NOT back up their GI tract, and it is fine in moderation. In fact, nothing short of a hairball can back up a bunny, given they have unlimited hay.

I used to have a pet bunny. She loved eating popcorn too. But she also had other unhealthy habits, like stealing chocolate bits, bread and ham. (Yeah, it did eat ham.)

She never had any health problems though. Lived a long life and finally passed away of mere age.
