I don't really know. I have always skated pretty loose trucks. I mean not over the top crazy fuckin Daewon swag but fairly tight and I have to say it's honestly in your style. It's not about learning it's just how you choose to skate. Personally loose trucks allow me to never be tic tacy because I hate that.  I think as though if you have loose trucks you're just allowed more freedom to your board and it makes me have more confidence and it loosens up my style.

@MrOmacl I had the same problem, make sure your weight is completely centred over the board. You are probably going in-front of the board because your shoulders and/or head is over the board. Also be confident that you are going to land on your board and don't shy away.

All personal preference, I prefer them quite a bit tighter than most but still loose enough to carve.  Find it easier to get more pop, and do flip tricks

Damn, I really wish I could start all over and learn this way. Now that I know for the most part what I'm doing it makes it hard to break bad habits. I ride more of a medium closer to the loose side but sometimes I feel the need to tighten them up. Tight trucks in my opinion are great for getting a nice high pop and loose is nice for style and control. I just don't like being too loose because I get wheel bite even from being more in between tight or loose. Nice video though, lovin the page

Loose trucks are great, easy to get around, BUT, tricks arent as solid feeling, and sketchy is always a problem. Tight trucks offer better pop, and stable landings, BUT, it is harder to get around and it gives less control. Thats why i rock right in the middle.!

@124daz You're balance is all to the right. It's not the trucks that's making you to to the right, it's your balance that's off. You're most likely putting pressure on your right foot more than you're back foot. Trying putting more weight into the back foot that way it straightens out you pathway so you don't end up going off to the right.

Do you have high trucks? Because I come across some difficulties. I ride Medium trucks (I guess more on the loose side) and 52mm wheels and quite often when I land a trick and pressure is whether on one of the sides, my wheels hit the board and stop spinning, so most of the times I fall cause of that quick brake. And it drives me nuts.

i personally love my trucks always on the tighter side. i learned on loose trucks. People are different, i cant nose manny for the life of me with loose trucks. Its really all personal preference and feeling if you ask me. But if i was to give advice, learn on loose trucks, gradually tighten them.

I like keeping my trucks loose, i can turn way easier and avoid those annoying rocks in the sidewalk. Sure it might be a little less stable, but when you get the hang of it, it gets really easy to balance and do complicated flip tricks
