  • Gatesville Texas Bitches!!!!!!!!!!!! Suck it!!!!!!! Oklahoma ain't shit without Texas prospects!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Not a TD.

  • Seems that OU fans believe TH hit the ground, then flopped forward, as happens often. But in this case, he was airborne, almost parallel to the ground and extended the ball before he hit the turf, not "as" or "after." As Laconic said, "clearly, but barely" scoring. I concur.

  • total fucking bullshit knee was down ball had not crossed Oklahoma got fucked

  • @travis2x No, no, no, you're not listening. I said *you* can find whatever proof you think you've got. What I've proven with this video is the moment he was down. What I've proven in the video response is where the ball actually was in that moment (you can actually see it crossing the goal line). I'm done proving things. If you want to back up whatever you're saying, YOU find the proof instead of slinging epithets around like you're on an 8th-grade vocabulary level. Done.

  • @Laconic913

the funny thing is you use youtube to make yourself look educated. once again, he never scored and texas tech was aided. im done too, talking to an idiot kills some of my brain cells just from wasting my time, my bad.

  • ya and not only did he not score the touchdown, the referees were practically carrying tech to the endzone on this drive. if anyone has the clip there was a pass interference that was 0% interference and i believe it was on a 3rd or 4th down aiding texas tech.

texas tech knows they didnt win this game, it was handed to them on a silver platter. and thats just the honest truth.

  • @travis2x Show me.

  • @Laconic913

i don't have the game, i was out to sea in the military in 2005. but if you're such a fan, go re-watch, there is 100% conclusive proof that texas tech got aided more than a couple times on that game winning drive. the refs couldn't wait to put their hands up and signal touchdown.

  • @travis2x So you want ME to dig around to find YOUR "conclusive proof?" No thanks, I spent enough time Zaprudering the ball spot for blind Okies, but I'll be the first to watch whatever you come up with. As for the PI call, it's been five years since I saw it with my own eyes, but I remember Amendola getting dragged away from the catch by his jersey. The call gave Tech two yards (half the distance) and a new set of downs but cost us precious seconds. We would've still had two downs left anyway.

  • Comment removed

  • @travis2x Don't forget about the Touchdown they gave to Tech earlier where the ref is signaling touchdown while the receiver is still bobbling it out the back of the end zone.

  • @speedbt2000 Yeah, that one was called back, speedboat.

  • 5 years ago!!! haha and we beat at home every time since! idc if you've won the Big 12 championship, you can't win bowl games until the Brute Sunbowl in 09' when Stanford didn't even have their starting QB. Hope your new QB has fun getting slammed by the Longhorns and the Red Raiders this season. Is Demarco Murray still hurt? anytime there's a big game he's hurt what a baby.

  • @WesWelkerfan4life hmmm, OU beat texas...demarco murray is perfectly healthy (according to cbssports, he's 24th in the country in rushing yds - 551. and 10th in rushing td's - 9.) and the last time you came to norman, it wasn't such a great game. I'm ready for you guys to come to norman so you can eat your words. BOOMER SOONER!!!

  • it's still a tough call. but it doesn't matter cause tech didn't convert the 4 th down play earlier in the drive. ou intercepted the ball in the air and fought for it on the way to the ground. but that still doesn't matter cause both players were behind the first down maker. that was ou ball game over. and i can honestly say that i hate texas tech more than texas. at least texas doesn't cheat. btw in 07 your refs called a good pass in the end-zone "incomplete" otherwise ou wins that game too.

  • The ball just has to break the front plane of the goal-line which it clearly did, it's obvious unless your in blind denial.

  • @TTUAirRaid yeah, the ball has to cross the plane BEFORE the player makes contact with the ground. when henderson's knee hits, he's CLEARLY short by about a foot and a half. it's not denial, it's truth.

  • He wasn't in. Refs are dumb

  • I'm still not convinced he scored.

  • There's a shocker.

  • Oh yea that was directed at OU fans

    GO TECH

  • Oh well its over and done with and all that matters is that Texas Tech has now defeated Oklahoma three straight times in Lubbock... '05,'07,and biggest defeat of all '09

  • this is probably one of the worst calls i have ever seen. TECH SUCKS

  • pretty sure why some people thought it wasnt a touchdwon cdause there was a 3rd person angle bove the whole play, if you really want to show all angles, get that one, it might change your mind.

  • Nice effort, but Henderson's butt was down before he put the ball across the goal line. Your video actually shows that but you spend a lot of time pointing out people's feet and hands. ESPN was mocking the officials the night of that game and for good reason.

  • I see your point here. I admire the work you did with this video as well. However i dont think that it is clear enough to determine that the ball crossed the goaline.

  • the ball never CROSSED the plane of the goal line. It hit it but it has to cross it to be a touchdown. Call me bias but I'm pretty sure that wasn't a touchdown

  • Did you even watch the video?

  • i did watch the video along with millions of people who have seen the same highlight. Your lacking the third angle that shows that they never crossed the goal line and his came up short.

  • Look inside the little red annotation box between 0:34 and 0:35. The dark object crossing the white goal line is the ball.

  • your little red box annotation is around 78's leg and then its on 98's jersey. Its inconlcusive. Once again though, you are lacking the third angle from above that clearly shows that he didn't get in and that his knee hit early.

  • See the new video, it shows more clearly what I'm talking about.

  • for the third time now, you are lacking the third view that shows that his knee is down before the ball crosses the goaline

  • His knee never hits the ground. His hip hits first, at 1:45, though I thought that should be obvious. You can easily see the impact on the ball as he hits starting around the 0:40 mark, and in the second video I uploaded you can see it barely under #99's arm, across the goal line.

If the "third angle" you mention about is the high end zone cam, it does look like he's short in it but it's aimed at a diagonal, not a true straight down like a wire cam. These angles show it crosses the goal line.

  • in between the time when 99's arm hit the turf and 63's foot is up, the ball moves ALOT. Terrible Call

  • Check it again. It does move a lot, but you can see the ball crossing the goal line at about the 0:32 mark. I'd always seen it but it was difficult to describe and point out. With Youtube's annotations, which weren't around where I made this, I can point out exactly where it happens.

  • see they dont show the highlight wen tech went for it on 4 down earlier that drive and did not get it .......

  • That is a dumb call he's down hen while every1 is around him he reaches the ball over

  • It might...just might...be time to get a life.

  • hey u forgot 1 view that the brodcast showed live and that proves that he was out! Go OU! BOOMER SOONER!!!

  • Sorry, but I do not see it, but its not inconclusive. Whatever was called first would have stood. If they had ruled him down outside the inzone originally, that would of most likely stood. Oh well...

  • horrible fucking call

    BOOMER SOONER

  • another bcs lossssss stoops sucks

  • oh well, it serves ou right.. everyone knows when you go to norman you have to play the zebras too..i was at the game and we sat there for @ 5 minutes while they reviewed it and they said it was good.. take your medicine asshole!!!!!

  • dude he was down and you know it

tech cant hold OU and we saw it last night

    boomer sooner 4 life

  • Hmm, yea, no touchdown, tech sucks

  • Because last night's game obviously affects the validity of the empirical evidence that says otherwise.

  • Comment removed

  • This only proves one thing....you offically have no life.

  • fact... texas lost that game and the guy who made that call is a sinner

  • I love that after you proved Taureen was down...you have to move the video 4 frames further to prove your point of the ball crossing the plane. You were right. It DID cross the plane...4 FRAMES AFTER HE WAS DOWN.

  • 1. It was six frames.

    2. Six frames or four, that is an extremely small amount of time. Highly unlikely that anyone could consciously make a motion in that time frame, and irrelevant anyways, because...

    3. Pause it at the precise tick of 2:42. Watch the goal line under #99's left arm. Press play. You can actually see the ball crossing the line and bouncing as Henderson makes impact with the ground.

  • Damn I knew life in that failed abortion you call a town was boring but DAMN!!!! If this is all you have to do out there in the desert you should seriously consider sleeping pills or dodging semi trucks out on the loop.

  • no fukin way that is the worst call i have ever seen.......oyaa besides the oregon calls..wtf...wats with all these refs conspiring against oklahoma

  • As a non-biased observer in the state of Maryland with no attachment to either team, I do officially decree that this is now and forever, a touchdown. This was a great breakdown of the play. Kudos to Laconic913. You would be hard-pressed to watch this video and come up with an alternate conclusion. The ball clearly crosses the goal line before the runner hits.

  • you just provided conclusive evidence that it was NOT a touchdown....good work by the way

  • The ball crossed the plane before his knee was down. How is that not a touchdown?

  • Wow! That second angle shows the Tech player was clearly short.

  • Did you even watch the whole thing?

  • Slice it anyway you want. We got Oregoned. You know what's funny about this. I'll agree that you can't turn it over based on the videos evidence released, but every home team, and I do mean EVERY home team has a camera that runs straight down the end zone line. Where is the footage? Weird that it was never released. What are they hiding?

  • its so funny how that wasnt a touchdown

and you didnt happen to show a clip of a few plays before where a texas tech player didnt even get close to making a catch and the refs called it a catch

texas tech was GIVEN this game plain and simple

  • I also didn't show the AP touchdown where the Tech D-lineman was spun in a circle by an O-lineman to keep him from making a tackle in the backfield. The fourth down catch was possibly good, as a simultaneous catch by the offense and defense is dead at the spot of the catch, not where the receiver hits the ground (that's called "forward progress"), while there is no way AP scores if the Tech player isn't held.

  • Tech won...barely...but i can understand OU being upset. I too, would have been upset if we had lost in a similar fashion.

  • Good job. He scored.

    7-0

  • Nice

  • Well at least OU got there ass kicked royally enough this last time around that they won't be able to dispute this last win by Tech.

I've seen still shots for this game that were even with the line and clearly show the ball was over the line before he was down. So get over it you've lost twice within the past 3 years.

  • look at 1:10

  • You must have been one of the poor fools with an MTV attention span who watched ninety seconds and thought you knew everything I was going to say.

  • Don't do drugs. His thigh hits the ground after his butt.

  • on that second angle his thigh hits the ground dumbass

  • Just because it is virtually past the goal line to you, does not mean in any way that it is truth. Where u line up the ball and the goaline,You dont show if he was down or not so plz get so some **** sense and then get back to me

  • My sweet misguided Sooner. Since you're such a "genius", why don't you give me another great excuse as to why OU lost the game THIS year? Our DEFENSE wasn't injured. What happened? Get over it baby. Go Tech.

  • This year is a whole different game. We lost our number 1 pass rated quarterback in the first offensive play, the coaches did think far ahead enough to give hazle some starts so he would be adjusted. We had our great defensive end out for this years game. We had two unexcussable personal foul calls called on us. So although this isnt a reason for us to lose, it gives some pretty dang good evidence that without these, it would have least helped us.

  • Yeah, whatever. Why can't you sooners just take the loss you were given instead of making up dumb excuses. Well, if your Oklahoma, why wasn't your backup amazing too. He's got quite a career ahead of him, at Wal-Mart. Our defense was just straight up awesome that night, and also where was YOUR defense. You can't blame your loss on one person.

  • I would disagree with you before the fiesta bowl, but our team played horrible in the fiesta bowl, so now i am not so sure

  • Just because it is virtually past the goal line to you, does not mean in any way that it is truth. Where u line up the ball and the goaline,You dont show if he was down or not so plz get so some **** sense and then get back to me

  • Was he down before he extends it? Your evidence shows that the ball did not break the plain when his but was down, but only after he was down did he reach out near the goaline. Now, you also used the word virtually. And i hate when people trying to make there point use this......

  • You can't blame the Sooners program for the "Bomargate" scandal as I like to call it, the second Coach Stoops got word of it, Bomar was gone. As for the video, its too close to call and we've moved on. Sam Bradford will throw all over you Saturday nite, see u there!!

  • ok. i dont think that bradford threw all over us; its kind of hard from the locker room. besides that, an all around solid effort by the red raiders. congratulations seniors!

  • what was that about Sam Bradford throwing all over us? Last time I checked the final tally was Texas Tech 34 OU 27 oh and by the way Graham Harrel torched OU for 420 yards in the air. Now who was throwing all over who?

  • good job texas tech. i hope you feel good about beating us once out of the past 8 years, i think.

even if you guys DID cheat.

  • No, OU is the only team that was cheating. I'd love to get a no-time job at Big Red Motors, but I've got more scruples than several notable Sooners.

  • Either way a very tough call. And certainly not clear video evidence to overturn the call. I do find it ironic Leach just recieved the largest fine in Bix XII history for complaining about the same officials.

  • I find it ironic as well. I think it's unprofessional to complain about the officiating in any circumstance, be it Leach or Stoops.

And if Henderson had been ruled short...no amount of video evidence would have overturned the ruling. It's too close to call given the time and technology allotted. I do firmly believe he scored, though.

  • I'd love to see you make a counter-video with all of that, but do this: pause the video precisely at 3:30 on the video, hit play/pause to advance it bit by bit, and look at the field under #99's arm (before it actually came down). It's difficult to see, but certainly someone as analytical as you should be able to clearly see the ball there and once again after #99's out of the way.

  • This is very interesting. After watching it a couple of times there are two things I noticed. First after the ball carriers hip touches the first time the ball does not appear to advance but the angle of the camera continues to move to our left. Second on that initial impact where you stop frame and add you first impact text notice the ball carriers elbow is bent as well as his wrist is curled back as it would be carrying the ball.

  • Second when you stop frame again to show us that the ball is in virtually the same position the wrist has straightened and the elbow has straightened to the point of almost hyper extending.

  • Now do me a favor and hold your arm slightly bent at the elbow and wrist curled backward. Now straighten your elbow and your wrist. Does you arm move forward? That's what I thought. After watching your breakdown I now can plainly see by the video evidence that the ball broke the plain after the runner was initially down. Thanks for clearing that up. :)

  • Even if ya'll had won it would have been forfeit because of your cheating ways. Wreck Em

  • There is no doubt he made it in on that play, the officials made the right call. That play never should have happened though. The 4th down catch from earlier in the game was well short of the first down. It's in the past now though so there is no point in arguing. Tech won, Oklahoma lost.

  • finally, a sooner that will accept his defeats , and carry on.

    it may be god.

  • That was nice work & it appears that Henderson did indeed reach the ball across the goal line.

Now since, you have the game on tape...Would you mind breaking down the bogus 4th down spot earlier in that same drive?

  • I've looked over that play many times. There is possibly an explanation for the call that was made; according to the official rules, a forward pass caught by two opposing players is dead at position of the catch in the possession of the team on offense, and if you watch the video the actual catch was made damn close to the yellow line, but for practical purposes it was just an iffy call. (And if I had been in crimson in cream instead of red and black, I would have called it a bad call.)

  • This is PERFECT proof that TTU won the game.

  • This OU stuff is junk. I'm pretty sure, not positive that TTU scored the TD. I'm real sure that the 4th down play was not a first down. I've seen a replay of the game, slow-mo'd, and OU fans fail to acknowledge that one of their TD's occurred when the refs missed a blatant hold. Yes, OU has a better football program than TTU (albeit, primarily with Texas players). And that matters because ...?

  • ok for those of you who are to dumb to know what happened when his but hit the turf he was down with the ball infront of the goal line. he then stretched the ball across after he was down. so no touchdown should have been called. and there should have been a turnover cause on the catch on forth down the ref gave u a yard good spot. he came down a yard before the first but still go it. ya look at it again and learn spme football bitch

  • randysachs, when his "but" hit the ground, the ball was in the end zone. You may not like it, but your denial of the truth will not change the facts. And, just because people don't agree with you, does not mean they are "to dumb to know what happened" or that they need to "learn spme football."

  • dude u are a idiot! look closely at his arms and butt while he gets the clear touchdown.

  • It appears you are an OU English major.

  • Texas Tech can suck me.

  • Oklahoma is 42-2 at home since 2000. That's 95%. From what you said, you guys are 15-3 at home over the last three years. 83%. We don't accept that type of mediocrity in Norman.

No, 95% at home and conference titles are the norm. We play solid football, and every so often, terrible, much -worse-than-average officiating occurs when the Sooners take the field.

  • This game and the debacle in Eugene this year are two such examples. These are games when over multiple plays, commentators, and later SportsCenter anchors and print and media journalists express their disappointment at the travesty that was the officiating on that day.

These games can not dampen the greatness that is Oklahoma football. There will always be squads that try really hard. And that's great. But true greatness is not fleeting. And that's Oklahoma football.

  • ...And why do u have to tell us their percentage at home on this video?

  • This is sad.

You use grainy, scan-line-laden shots of a local news cast recorded with what looks a VCR recording on Hi-8 (with no tripod, of course) and then piped via USB (if the viewer is lucky) to your mom's PC. You later added some classical music in some half-baked attempt to bolster your "work"'s legitimacy. Whatever legitimacy may have existed was terminated when you decided Windows Movie Maker was the best way to put together a video of this scope.

  • This is all immaterial, however, since your entire basis for this video is intrinsically flawed to begin with. You can't just mash up two wholly inadequate video angles (one of which is totally unusable), draw some arrows, and expect to establish irrefutable evidence. This video does not speak towards the credibility of tech fans or your argument.

  • The only thing that will ever solve this debate is another camera angle that does not exist. You can't attempt to create this by throwing two angles together, especially when one is unusable.

The bottom line is that tech did win this game in what has developed into a storied history of referee screwjobs. Take the victory and enjoy it. I know they don't come along all that often in Lubbock.

  • But hey, while we're at it, how about some Sooner stats:

    7 National Championships (all legit)

    24 Bowl Championships

    Most Big XII Championships

Highest Win Percentage since World War II

Highest Win Percentage since the AP Poll

    Most 11+ Win Seasons

Most 10+ Win Seasons (tied with Alabama)

    Most Consecutive Wins (47)

    Boomer Sooner.

  • Not that often in Lubbock? Tech won 7 of 7 home games in Lubbock that year. 4 out of 5 the year before that, and 4 out of 6 in Lubbock this year.

  • Hmmm. That's really cute. Oklahoma posts a 330-78 home record. That means 80% of all OU home games are wins.

And I was speaking about your overall performance in the last few years. 65% win record from 2001 to 2005 whereas the Sooners post 83%. And a National Championship and a few Big XII titles here and there. Has texas tech even won a NC? A Big XII title? Has tech even played in a Big XII title game?

  • Not yet. Don't worry about this Tech game; OU got revenge in Norman this year as you know. That is all for me, cheers!

  • Sure, maybe Henderson scored... well, if you think Amendola got a first down (still scratching my head on that one); but, I'm over it. Relish being the Best in the South again Sooners; You've earned it... this has been a crazy season... Possibly Stoop's best coaching job yet. Ah man, Boomer Sooner... Big 12 South Champs.

  • *edit* I definitely wound up being wrong on that prediction; Aggies beat Texas with some good D.

  • Looks like Texas Tech needed more than shitty referees this time around. OU kicked the shit out of them without Rhett Bomar and Adrian Peterson/Allen Patrick.

Texas-Tech is the shittiest team in the Big 12 South, even those fags at Texas A&M can play better football.

Oh ya, way to go Texas, losing to an unranked Kansas State by giving up 45 points. LMFAO!!!

    BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

  • Classy post...I don't know that I would call 34-24 'kicking the s*** out of someone' though, most would say it was a pretty hard fought game. By the way, Tech beat A&M at Kyle Field last month in case you missed it. And Texas will still win the big 12 South, mark it down.

  • Texas didn't win the big 12 South. Sorry : - )

  • Texas didn't win the Big 12 South. :-)

  • Yep, I was definitely wound up being wrong on that prediction!

  • haha realy because i went to kansas city last week and i dont recall seeing a texas team there.boomer sooner big 12 champs

  • Yes, I admitted my prediction about UT was wrong on this post two weeks before you wrote this. You were a little late on that one.

  • i guess i must admit i was late, simply because i have a life and i dont sit on the computer all day.

  • Good, now everyone knows you 'have a life'.

  • alright then

  • wow, you are a complete moron.

texas tech beats a&m just about every year. and just because we haven't been to a national championship doesn't mean anything. hardly any teams in division one get a shot a winning one. only douchebag top dollar names like oklahoma and usc get recognition.

  • who officially won the game? oh ok.

  • OU only loses games because of bad officiating. In fact, we should remove all records of games which OU lost because the refs didn't know what they were doing. Video evidence? Poppycock I tell you! OU only lost because it was a bad call. In fact, OU shut out TT that day! The only reason Tech even moved the ball was because of bad calls!

  • Well, as far as 2005 is concerned, OU got to remove all records of their wins that year due to blatant cheating. Looks like the only bad call made was Bob Stoops call to pay Rhett Bomar. So I guess now this video is moot because it doesn't matter if he was in or not, TTU won the game because OU decided to cheat.

  • What? OU cheated so bad because 2 players decided to take extra money. But those games OU won were cheated out of the opponents.

  • I love that you have to use all the "look at #99! and #63! and #58!" SIX FRAMES AFTER you, yourself, acknowlege that he's down. I wonder why. I mean, "virtually the same place" is good enough for government. It's not really all THAT important to determine where the ball is exactly when he's down, we'll just use VIRTUALLY the same place. Good enough logic for me! What a joke.

  • Why don't you think it is possible that the ball broke the plane, THEN Henderson extends his arms even further? It isn't like he can be 100% sure he has crossed the plane given the position he is in.

  • OU fan and I have no problem with the TD ruling; it was very difficult to tell one way or the other and it can't be overturned without compelling proof. That said, would be interested in seeing the Amendola "first down" broken down. Mozart isn't going to help that one. Anyway, good luck this year, see you guys in Norman.

  • very clever but no cigar, the ball was not in the same position as you claim, it was moving forward, and he was moving forward before he pushed up onto his feet to extend over the line, you also have to notice the clock, but he was very close

  • that was clearly a touchdown. sooner fan has to be the most annoying fan around. scoreboard!

  • this damn play is nothing to the screw job OU went through in eugene, oregon. damn, i thought tech was bad (it still is) but the oregon refs cleary made the worse calls!

  • Also, since everyone agrees that the ball just barely crossed the line, your video proves nothing. Saying that because the ball moved very little after impact, & it was definitely very slightly across the line shortly after impact, that certainly the ball was across the line on impact is an invalid argument. Not that any arguing makes a difference, and not that it matters to me at all; I just thought that you should know that your logic is flawed.

  • So..I like how the "true TT fan" can't spell or speak english. That's the true form of a Tech fan.

  • Re-read his comments and read between the lines. That is an OU fan posing as a TT fan. I would bet a steak dinner on it.

  • Yes, this was a very close call. Nice use of Mozart's 25th Symphony...and, no, I'm not gay.

  • I'm true TT fan. In the video you can even hear the announcers state that he was down. :( But maybe they just had bad seats or sum stuff. We need to turn the classical music up so that people can't hear them say that. It hurts are cause.

  • "I'm a true TT fan" Whatever, Mr. OU fan posing as a Tech fan.

  • i love ou fans....they cry all day long about a call that was probably right...of course none of us will ever know....but they seem to ignore a REAL screw job in norman during the tech/ou basketball game...not to mention, its nice to see no ou players celebrating and the tech players jumping up down....wonder what they all think?...since they were right there

  • just to tell u the ball was just over the line when his hip hit the ground. It just has to be barly over the line. Which it was.

  • I'm not a fan of either team. But, his hip was down. Everyone in the nation thinks Oklahoma got a bad call -- all those except Texas Tech fans. The author makes the assumption that this is some type of "important" play. Who cares... this was a National Championship (as it might be for Texas Tech considering they've never seen the inside of a NC game).

  • ...wasn't a national championship game...

  • Your garbage, that play decided the game and the game decided who would go to the more prestegious bowl game. No, it wasn't the national championship game, but a win over OU plays a huge factor in recruiting, ticket sales, and has financial advantages. I'm sure the same amount of OU fans that would have gone from Norman to Dallas went from Norman to San Diego, OU missed out on a shit load of money from ticket sales.

  • "Everyone in the nation", eh? Wow, you must have immense polling capabilites, I imagine the census department would like to hire you. Within the big 12, this was a big game. When his hip was 'down', you don't know that the ball hadn't already broken the plane...you can't tell from the angle.

  • Is that what you learn in Oklahoma? That only gay people listen to classical music? Um, Wow. What a veritable pillar of intellect ... sad.

  • Yeah, every person in Oklahoma learns that only gay people listen to classical music because spgarrett said.

    Wow, what a stereotyping bigot....sad.

  • Yeah, his hip was down BEFORE the ball crossed the goal line you f*cking dumbass! Tech should get a little taste of OUr home-cooking this November. Also, only gay people listen to classical music.

  • Maybe you'll find the music on this version more inline with your tastes, Garrett:
