Supposedly a plesiosaur from all other movies/folklore. But this looks more like a apatosaurus with webbed feet! But heck, scientists can't agree on these things and their origins/times anyway. They should have realized they are but mortals and know NOTHING about the past short of some rock tests with a questionable practice called carbon 14 dating. Totally inaccurate and I doubt the claimed accuracy to 10 or 50 thousand years. I doubt half of them existed. MONEY> FOLLOW IT! Lots of grants!

Talk about not respecting one's elders. The sheriff saves these guys' rear ends before he gets killed. But, when the mama is killed, the young people walk away without ever asking what happened to the sheriff.

@godfreyih It is not an "obsession" unless u think defending one's self from being on some real animal's menu. When camping and star gazing with my motorized scope have a heavy caliber sidearm---IF some critter comes into the are will yell, jump up down; make myself look bigger. If that does not work and creature comes closer will fire a "round" near it but not at it. If that does not work, will shoot-to-kill.

I liked this movie, it was actually good and we get to see a satisfying amount of the creature. The effects are also pretty good for a Sci-Fi movie.

These creatures in the movie are evolved Plesiosaurus. because think of it as time goes through it continues with evolution so these creatures are evolved from plesiosaurus.

A simple question: SciFi marketed this movie as "Beyond Loch Ness". Why change the name? "Loch Ness Terror" is pretty decent by name standards.

Anyway, there was another (much worse) movie by the name of "Beneath Loch Ness" made in 2001. Sound familiar? So why change the name to sound like that one?

The title was set as "Beyond Loch ness" & yes it was marketed with this title at first but later they changed it to "Loch ness terror" which is a better title, I agree. So the official title of the movie is "Loch ness terror" & as far as I know it has been marketing with this title with the dvds & all.

i agree with bdreamer4ever. because if You Probally Put Beyond Lochness Some Child is Gonna Think It's About A Person Who Becomes Bestfriend With Nessie.But The Tile That bdreamer4ever selected actually makes it sound like it's a horror movie.Trust Me My Brother Saw This Title And Did Not Want To Watch It And Then He Saw The Other Title,He Watched It Got Scared And Could Not Sleep For A Week.

I was actually pretty impressed by the plesiosaur's CGI. It was a lot smoother and more natural-looking than some of SciFi's other animated atrocities.

If they did more monsters like these, the channel's reputation might move from awful to tolerable.
