  • @mashallw ...WHAT?? SAYS YOU!!

  • Just excellent!

  • alot of emotion in this performance you can feel it .....

  • i swear all of you ppl are monotone about how "today's music is terrible" or "this is real music" & all that nonsense. This species did not come into the world making funk, soul, & rnb. Human beings as a species has evolved & music did so as well. As someone who exposes themselves to music past & present, i will say this. The only real truth is that there is no such thing as "real music". Music has so many sounds that no one has to ever like the same thing

  • NOW PEOPLE THIS REAL MUSIC,REAL MUSICIANS,SHIT YOU CAN AT LEAST MAKE SENSE AND UNDER STAND THE LYRICS AND THE MUSIC IS THE BEST THEY REALLY DO KNOW HOW TO PLAY.RAP IS SHIT

  • Clearly a class act barr none!

  • The baddest band in the land.... If you went to EWF you got your moneys worth every time!!!!

  • MAN EYE LOVE DISS BAND FAREAL...EYE DA TITLE OF DISS SONG IN 1 OF MY SONGZ....KEEP YO HEAD 2 DA SKY..POWERFUL MESSAGE FASHO

  • i remember seeing ewf in concert and mann all these new artists need to take notes on how a real concert is supposed to go...i left out of there out of breath, sweating, and totally readi 2 pay more money than i paid for that show they put on

  • Now this is what music is...unfortunately today there no longer is such a thing we have noise with a little rhythm to it

  • Maurice!!! Gawd!!! Phillip and the harmonies....heaven sent!!!

  • @rockaway20000

INCREDIBLE! Isn't IT I wish I could JOIN!

  • Who in their right mind could give a thumbs down to this? I am convinced some miserable people just come on here to give neg ratings to make them feel better about their pitiful lives... this vid deserves 100 stars!

  • @amidamaru646 Gratitude! ;-)

  • They were GODS

  • @Deepmindandheartlife The song is gratitude!

  • This is what my generation needs right here instead of all the low vibration noise of the 21 century. Maybe we wouldn't be so selfish, lustful, and conceited. Its sad that most people don't care to listen to music that has a positve message.

  • @neouberx

We're coming (the new retainers of higher- level vibrationals)-

    ..just you wait!

  • @neouberx

show me one young man or woman that knows about the word "Devotion". That's why this crap today is so messed up. Those words don't count anymore....why singing about it? Now the "in" words are words that can only bleeped out in public...what do you expect of an generation that has grown up with such rubbish?

  • @neouberx omg you need to listen to professor griff. He says the same thing, low vibrations do actual bad things in your body's mechanism. Heck, today's jazz is very low and distorting. Also, there's this Japanese experiment of water either turning crystal or distortion via soundwaves and energy (and 75 percent of our body is water).

~EnlightenEveryone (check my favorite videos and spread the word pls)

  • @neouberx DATS RITE!!!

  • omg.........awesome.....long time ago!

  • Those were the best of times! Good music, love everywhere, men wore tight pants......! Yes indeed!

  • @h1ydrippa yes indeed yes indeed!!!

  • @h1ydrippa technically men still wear tight pants...

  • i can feel it in my pineal, lets make a baby brimg forth my love child

  • that's real entertainment

  • Simply Said: EW&F IS THE EPITOME OF TRUE FOR REAL TALENT !!! THE BEST!!!! I LOVE EM!!!! THIS VIDEO IS MY FAVORITE VIDEO IN THE WORLD!!!!!

  • yeah like m&m where he comes from i don't know he seems to running off at the mouth talking about burning kim why we want to burn kim i don''t know his kim tell me something somebody

  • its a beautiful thing when u can see men expressing themselves positively in this way.

  • yeah they were spirtiual and had a positive message

  • Music- WIN

    Voices- another win

    Outfits- Once again, WIN

    Vibe- WIN WIN WIN!!!

What more can you ask from this wonderful decade?

Truly...one heck of a time that i have not had the oppurtunity to live through..very unfortunate..not a day that goes past that i wish i could go back in time just for this..

I'm 15 not that it matters because this music is just ageless...

Anybody with me on this? ;)

  • all i can say is inspiring!!!!!!!

  • Love this song.Phililip Bailey's pipes are amazing. Saw them perform three times right about this time and in 1999 at the Nissan Pavillion..

  • RIGHT ON!!

  • GREAT ! The king of the groove !

  • Amen Awesome song by E.W.F.! you can never go wrong with an E.W.F. song!

  • Un-freaking-real. What a group. Where is this from? Is it available on DVD or tape anywhere? This looks like a fantastic show. I'd never heard them do this before....

    P.S. Right on!

  • @marse17 you're in luck it is available on dvd. it's called earth wind and fire in concert. if i'm not mistaken this concert was in 1982 but i'm not sure of the place. wait until you hear johnny graham's guitar solo on "that's the way of the world".

  • @GDCTT It's from 1981 at the Oakland Coliseum, two concerts spliced together.

  • Great sound quality

  • damn this is sweet!!!

  • Colonne della musica pop.

    Indimenticabili.

  • i love earth wind and fire all of their music it make you think about that you in love with

  • Saying its allright.... YEAH (yeah) YEAH (yeah) YEEEAAAHEEAAAH....

The most funky stuff I've ever heard!!!! And the bass!!!

I had this on tape (cassete) since 1982 (this show on dutch tv) and from that day EVERY time I hear this I get shivers down my spine (I mean this positively...pardon my english... I'm dutch)

  • Shit this group was the best ever i will always love thier music. No one could ever copy them they can never be duplicated! ever!

  • odd.....but good, very good

  • this is the shit!!!!!

  • live ungeschlagen 75´zig jahrhunderthalle höchst

  • STILL have this dvd..

  • I love Earth, Wind and Fire...I think it's the greatest band ever......

  • apollo diggs paradise

  • EWF was the baddest freakin band in the land!!!! What you heard on the record was what you got in concert, most times it sounded better. These boys was bad!!!

  • Was that Jesse Jackson in the front row?

  • Now. With all this idea that one race is not superior, we can now listen to the awesome group, Earth, Wind, and Fire. Interesting enough, the clothes in the late 70's and 80's were down right nasty. The only think I liked was the jean jacket and the pheasant tops. Seawind, Tower of Power, and Syro Gyra were all groups that focused on the use of instruments infused with vocals. Rap gives me a headache and only spreads hate!

  • @katkollmer We are all equal by merit, all humans, and breath the same air. I get tired of hearing "color" comments. Rise to your talents and gifts God gives you and develop them to the best possible level. No one can tell you that you can't do anything. You are in charge of your destiny.

  • Great music....what were we thinking about when we wore those clothes!

  • @katkollmer we were thinking that we sure looked good. and we did! I had a rhinstone 1 in the middle of a rhinestone d on the back of a jean jacket!! LOL. hit the clubs with it and that ball atop made it glitter. yeah!!

  • @ddsharper lol...

  • @ddsharper songs much better then..we had a different beat, more instruments, the lyrics made sense and weren't perverted. Now all artists do now is talk about mental illness, drug use as the bomb, beating people up, gasta behavior, sex, and all wierd jirations!. hahahaha

  • @katkollmer yes indeed. but think about this. we still lived in our own neighborhoods, the music belonged ot us, and crack hadn't been poured into the black neighborhoods at that time. We were quietly attacked in so many ways and many of us don't realize it even now. And now whites own rap, write the lyrics and whore out our people. precrack, watch soultrain, postcrack, watch BET. Preintegration, great music, postintegration, turned into porn stars.

  • @ddsharper if you go into the black churces in the south, that purity of soul still exists. blacks need other blacks to cut their eye teeth. metal sharpens metal. it's just that way. XXL Mag is white owned. They own 100 hip hop pubs with no blacks on reg staff, just bafoons on their site. a 26 year old white editor was saying N this and N that, advocating crime, beligerence and sexual perversion. Most blacks have no idea and the youngsters are misled, as Simon Cowell said. Then white kids copy.

  • @ddsharper If people don't recognize the attacks, they cannot ward them off. Same thing with advertising and sexual symbols, video games and violence and disrespect for parents, etc. We have all had a job done to us but never saw it coming. Peace.

  • @ddsharper I am not into the profiling of a race...I am saying that over time, the world has completely gone into the need for self gradification. Where self rules the needs of the world. People have gotten away from the morals and values of the words of God and his saving grace that was given to us through Jesus, that the spawn of Satan rules. It is all about the body and what the body wants. It isn't what the inner spirit needs. As, by Steve Wonder spoke beautifully but to all.

  • @katkollmer I cannot argue with that and it's a shame but WE raised the little demons and slept while Satan was awake. WE put ourselves first, and they took after us. That brainwashed 60s and70s generations who began the flesh game and didn't speak out when the powers that be were pouring evil into society.

  • @katkollmer All I am saying is that the world follows what comes out of the black community, period. They have manipulated the young rappers and artists and the world followed. Not profiling at all. But if we don't see where the problem lies, we won't find a solution.

  • @ddsharper No...not really. The world follows what will allow them to make money. Has nothing to do with a "community". Being a music performance major in college, I find that comment very limiting. Music evolved through the uses of music as art and expression. The reason 'blues" was created was to express the life as it was at that time. Due to the "beat" of the slaves former culture, focus stemmed from that. 'bluegrass" came from Irish immigrants in Applalachia. "we" create heros

  • @katkollmer bluegrass came from runaway slaves, moving to the mountains with hillbillies. this is why I hate it when whites steal our culture. eventually they take it as their own and tell the world they created it. finally some classically trained blacks have reclaimed our culture, went to the inventors, before they died, and are going around the world to tell the truth. That is the bottom line. but you believe whatever you want and whatever you were taught. I learned to not argue with whites.

  • @ddsharper Uhhh...no. I am from West Virginia...and no...it was from irish immigrants. West Virginians still have the "Gaelic" accent in words they say. It has nothing to do with white, black, yellow, or brown. It happens to be with opening up ones own eyes to see the possibilities that can happen if we change our heart.

I happen to be a teacher. Your perspective of history needs a little support with a history textbook. Entertainment has to do with what sells. Bottom line.

  • Do you know who John Smith was? Thank God for someone with same "balls" that would stop the use of people as animals. Not all slaves were treated this way. Many were. When we look at the Hebrews in Egypt, we see those people working along side of prisoners. They had no rights. Women had no rights and were slaves to the husband. Looking at religion, when you ask Jesus as your Savior, you leave sin, bondage, to following the Master. So no matter how you look at it, anyone can be a slave.

  • @katkollmer yes, yes, yes!!!

  • @katkollmer it was the 70s. everyone dressed up like that dude.

  • @ddsharper okay.. dude. I am a girl. And....I am 49 years old. I know what "we" wore back then, thanks!

  • @katkollmer My baaaad. LOL! so sorry, dudette??? LOL.

  • @ddsharper I am not a dudette either. I think I would be called a lady. :)

  • @katkollmer What are you doing? Trying to start a fight? Jesus Christ!

  • @ddsharper No...just trying to get you to broaden your perspective. Success in life depending on the area where we live, and the moral integrity of our family which centers our faith/beliefs. My kids don't listen to rap. I think it is nasty. It is not music is a forum for expressing selfishness. Like I said, "WE" as a society, allow heros to be created and the heros to GUIDE what we hear and do. IF we didn't allow this, then more focus would be on moral integrity and that which presides.

  • @ddsharper My baaaad. LOL!

  • i love it when dumb ass old people state they dont make music like this anymore.. You couldnt compare earth wind & fire to any group back then either!

  • @KinGBeef420 yes you could dude. it wasn't either/or it was and/both.

  • @KinGBeef420 Yes you could dude. You just don't know your music history. The difference is that the schools offered music education at every level. Now, corporations have canned sounds, dissected from previous generations of music and sell it on the open market in parts.

  • @KinGBeef420 The schools stopped teaching everything, including music. so, as EVERYTHING is based on thought, the thoughts are gone and the skills to go with them. Jermaine Griggs is teaching real music, however, and bringing it back. So respect your elders. They know what they are talking about. You are the dumb ass for making such a stupid assertion.

  • The good old days are what they represent, when music was soul in the real sense of the word. Not the modernised music with a flood of the F.... word. "going back to my roots" (by odyssey) is what the present generation should do.

  • @unzidi yes indeed. but think about this. we still lived in our own neighborhoods, the music belonged ot us, and crack hadn't been poured into the black neighborhoods at that time. We were quietly attacked in so many ways and many of us don't realize it even now. And now whites own rap, write the lyrics and whore out our people. precrack, watch soultrain, postcrack, watch BET. Preintegration, great music, postintegration, turned into porn stars.

  • @ddsharper with due respect, i don't think the issue is what was or is done to blacks. the catastrophe as i wish to name it has affected all colors and gender, the main cause of all this is that we have lost our moral fibre and instead have gone running after material gains and wellbeing. Our women and men in some cases have been changed to comodities to be displayed and paraded to the best buyer. The goals of our modern teens says it all.Stop any teen on the street and ask, and you will see.

  • @unzidi I agree with everything you have said except the first sentence. Follow me on this, if you would. Though many don't want to admit it, blacks determine this country's culture. From the black soul has come our music in both song and dance and shortly after the world follows. Those in charge knew that and systematically destroyed the glue that created songs like above. There are other things too that had to be and were attacked but back then, gospel, jazz, blues and R and B and funk chords

  • @unzidi chords were behind all music, black and white. rap, when owned and run by blacks was innocent, for the most part. I gave you the rest of the history. I study this stuff all of the time, connect many dots and when most are watching TV,

  • @unzidi I am dissecting the truth behind what we see and experience. What they've done to rap lyrics and so-called music affected all who listened and the kids are infected with pornography as a result. Old war strategy for a new world order. I will agree to disagree, with respect and regard!! It's in the media, the schools, the homes. Just as they've planned. 4th Reich, Jim Marrs is one good read.

  • @ddsharper OMG!! SOME ONE WHO UNDERSTANDS WHAT OUR GENERATION'S MUSIC IS LIKE... Porn is bad....Soul music is good!!

  • @TheBannedStoryWars YES!! Once the corporations and the illuminati got hold of the music industry, it set out to change the mentalities of the masses, pushing them further into the baseness of existence. Remember, Satan rules music. The kids are depraved and spreading their depravity. Too bad they are conned and taking the youth, those even younger, with them.

  • @unzidi Right on there! If one would look at history, the same thing occured in every civilization as it developed. No matter where it was or who was at play, there were people doing work from that of a master. There was levels of society. There was a need for control and superiority. That is the way of man. It happened to the Israelites, the Irish, the blacks, and the list goes on. It is learning from that which matters most.

  • the beginning is not "keep your head to the sky" but "where have all the flowers gone"...

  • @halfmanhalfman yes digital has some worth but no heart and no soul

  • MooooooRice...take me alllllll the way back. I love you guys.... I remember this concert. Classic as never seen before.

  • Man I love this group... this is real performance wow... I love it

  • @kenjamcla1973 U sumed it up!

  • Well fortunately we have the net and real musicians. you don't HAVE to listen to the crap on the radio! Support the real music underground. It's there. You may ave to look hard for it but it's there like a lotus in the mud.

  • nothing else to say

  • This is GREAT footage and of course their live versions are phernomal

  • Lot's of music finds itself very big in Japan. Some of it is like EWF, and is big anywhere, and some of it is like some obscure dude you never heard of, though you might have heard a one-hit wonder from him from the 70s or something. Ah, Japan... That isn't Japan though, is it.... Oh well, the point stands in any event.

    just remember,

keep your head to the sky.

  • Ooohhh....I love this song

  • Mr. Maurice White no longer tours with the group but as you see he was a key component with Philip Bailey, because of his health they tried to replace him, it's hard to find somebody who sounds like him...but EW&F continues to flourish,The most Amazing group to ever walk The Planet....Tha R&B Beast...

  • This is awesome! These cats are amazing..Can I get a "RIGHT ON?"

  • @cornerstone1019 No, but you can get a Thumbs up;)

  • one of The Coolest Bands ever - Lordy Neville Bardoliwalla BSc ( Hons)

  • @zxingzxing ..I'm with you on that one...If I could join any band in the history of music, it would definitely have been Earth, Wind and Fire. I say would b/c I would have liked to have been there from the beginning.

  • As a teen in the 70's, I got 2 of my 3 Groups in the Hall of Fame. EWF, Isley Brothers, now im hoping AWB get in there.
