I can remember my mom picking me up from school and telling me that Ryan had been shot so as soon as she unlocked the door I ran to the TV that was still on. unfortunately Ryan had already died so I missed it.

One of the few soap recasts that ever worked. After Anne Heche left, I thought I would never watch AW again--fat chance, too many great characters--but I didnt expect to accept anyone else as Vicky and Marley--Jensen soon won me over--too bad she's not acting any more.

this was a crazy storyline...so grant/ryan are brothers, but they had a crazy mom named justine (i think that was her name) and she hated vicky b/c she was jealous of her (both her sons had been with her and she hated that) so she kidnapped vicky. grant tried to protect justine from ryan since that was his mother, and he shot ryan. this was SO sad and i was a teenager when this happened and i still remember it!

I am glad that AW never recasted Ryan, and let his character die if the actor wanted to leave the show.

I met PMV on that day when he filmed his last day on AW, outside the studio. I live near the studio. AND HE TOLD me that this was the hardest scenes he ever did. I met PMV three times when he was on AW, and saw him twice in 1776, and he is the nicest guy, and most talented actor I have ever met!
