This is actually how the war really happened, not like many nazi films that the americans come by to kill every nazi in two seconds.. This is a movie with many emotions on BOTH sides and also how the war really came to an end

What don't get about this movie is when she is about to sleep with the commanding officer he says maybe you dyed your hair to hide you are a Jew, did he know she was a Jew from then on? And when he is holding the gun to her later on and says now tell me everything, does she or does she make up a story?

at the first point u made, yes he knew she was jewish, but he loved her too much to betray her.. and the second point: she didnt make up a story, she just didnt tell him she was in the recistance.. she just told him what she knew about the masacres for money..

Totally agree with you.Thoroughly engrossing, atmospheric and absorbing film. Great acting throughout. One to watch again and again and, probably again. Shame that certain blockbusters get all the hype and attention and terrific films like this get overlooked.
