@andrew199315 You can do this a couple ways. You can just chug on the open E or you can do an E power chord (open E & 2nd fret of A sting -- which is a B). Ramstein chugs on the open E and only uses power chords for the slides (5/7 --> 3/5, 3/5 --> 5/7, etc.).

I've seen bands play open chords one time only to see them play the same progression with barre chords another time. wow, you actually uploaded a video on how to play literally one of the easiest songs in all creation. Fine, so I watched anyway because du hast is one of my fav songs, only to find you actually played the song wrong.

The tab is 5-7 -> 3-5 -> 0-2 in standard tuning. Doing an open strum is garbled unless your in Drop D. and in Drop D, its 7-5-2.

bar chord 2 in Drop D is not an open chord in standard tuning. Cant believe your video has 25 thousand views.

Its not judging your technique its stating a fact that its played incorrect. If thats the way YOU personally play it thats different. Thats adding your own style to it so to speak. This is not the correct way to play du hast though which your video clearly states.

Hmm lets see, Rammstein plays in drop D ive seen plenty live videos and have their dvd's. I checked tabs, and played by ear. Playing by ear alone shows you its not an open chord. Ive never seen anyone play it like you have here.

I dont know any song that plays an open chord in standard tuning because its muffled, you have to play 0-2 with palm mute. Rammstein plays drop d probably because its just a bar chord which is simple for live shows.
