  • Wow! Chepito was cutting through this mix like butter!

  • chepito will always be the best timbalero ever

  • @sizrcco1 Neal Schon tiene su propio estilo desde que comenzo....y en mi opinion es mas variado y melodico que Carlos Santana....

  • more whammy dive bombs please...hahah

  • Schon...........LOVE hearing him play anytime..anywhere. One hell of a classy guitarist.

  • Amazing Neal...I love you!

  • Classico maestro!

  • WOW!!! I had no idea that Abraxa Pool ever played live or that these were on here!!! Neil is the master!

Part 3 please? Pretty please? :)

  • How did I miss this!!! Neal is God!!!!!!!!

  • Neal has so much fire...........his tone is so hotttt!!!

  • Timbalero escandaloso.

  • Looks like Neal is using one of his "Schon" guitars that were produced by Grover Jackson in the mid/late 80's. As far as amps and effects.... who knows... since Neal always likeds trying out and using new stuff all the time.

  • This is fucking GREAT.

  • Amazing!!! Any idea what amp/gear he used here?

  • If you are trying to get that tone all you need is a humbucker in your guitar going into an overdrive pedal (a Barber Direct Drive works for me and is better than a Boss SD-1) and then into a high gain Marshall/Soldano/Diezel/Bogner that has an effects loop you can put a delay in, like a BOSS DD-3 or DD-5. If you have a strat with a maple fretboard and your tone is too bright you need to rewire the neck tone control for to control the bridge so you can turn it down to 9. Done! You're there!

  • looks like he was using a Mesa Boogie

  • Okay Lednareff...Thank's for posting this Great band's music...now, give us "Batuka-No one to depend on"! Órale Homes'!

  • I saw this line up in Ventura and they were nice enough to sign my abraxas LP. Schon and Schrieve were really friendly and we exchanged ideas for a little while. Thank you both for listening to me. Now.... get back together okay?

  • Whoa! Neal! I LOVE U NEAL!

  • Neal kick ass to Carlos Santana.

  • 77 StingRay Bass said it correctly; Go out and BUY a copy of "Abraxas Pool" with Neal, Gregg Rolie, Mike Shrieve, Alphonso Johnson, Chepito Areas, etc. It is a MASTERPEICE. Every tune on it is so

awesome; like the 1st two Santana LPs.

  • I love this....if Journey and Santana had ran into one another real hard that's exactly what they'd sound like*lol*

I love the way that whole album just makes me groove and rock at the same time

  • Hey Lednaref, do you have the video when they performed the song Szabo??

  • Órale,

THAT song was "Going Home"...and if you dig the ORIGINAL Santana sound, check out "Abraxas Pool". They OUT-SANTANA Santana!

  • WHAT SONG IS THIS?

  • I saw them in SF at the Fillmore and Neil did a solo for my wife. Chepito also had his son do the timbalas on Black magic woman...the entire place just lit up! Amazing. Neil and Gregg are awesome together. Would love to see more some day.

  • I had the good fortune of catching this band in a SoCal club. They were great. All the original Santana members sans (the late) Dave Brown and Carlos.

Too bad it didn't work out.

  • Great performance. Neal the only player not to have been in the original Santana band. Played with the band from 71-72. And of course Dave Brown and Carlos missing !

  • chepito kicks ass!

  • @facundo1963 That's for sure... I love the guy. Carl;os would be selling furniture today if it wasn't for him. Chep forever!!!

  • tight! Neal and Rolie on the stage together. Right on! Neal is one of the most stunning and riveting guitarists to see live. In a word? Passion. Desribes his style. John Lee Hooker says it best, "It's in him/and its gotta come out".

  • NEal is a great and very skilled guitar player, but he doesn't have the æatin rock groove and feelling. Shreds to much and forgets to slow down and let feel the song instead.
