I will always stand by my s&w m&p 9mm compact.. but.. my gf got this gun and I'm kinda jealous.. It just looks.. so damn cool! I'm not kidding, damn its a sexy little piece lol
I love shooting the PK380, its a comfortable gun. In one of my videos I shot a clay Target a pretty great distance away, so I can say they have great accuracy! Great vid, thanks!
The PK380 with a BA or BB on the slide(2010 or 2011 models) seem to be fine. The earlier ones were apparently junk. I have a late BA and after around 1000 rounds only had 1 fte on tula steel ammo as the only failure so far. It's a very accurate gun if you know how to properly hold and shoot a pistol. I carry this pistol in my pocket every day, very nice. All brands of ammo cycle well so far, Federal seems to work best and has a bit more kick.
Mine is away being serviced. It had a faulty extractor and the barrel was rubbing against the slide. Not a good experience for a first time Walther purchase.
what is ur take on a p99 for a conceal gun.... i had a p99 bb gun and i love the feel and am looking toward a p99 for conceal but then people tell me to go for the 380 what is ur advise.? thanks
@84chevyguy I've owned my P95 for about 2 years now and absolutely love it. Not good for CC,but overall good gun. Just purchaced a Bersa UC 40cal, will update you guys soon on that one.
I have put almost 1000 rounds through mine and not a single failure. Only 2 problems would be the key to disassemble and the fact that .380 ammo can be pricey and hard to find but that's not the guns fault
I have put over 1000 rounds through mine with not a single failure. Very easy to conceal. Only two downsides is the key to break down and that fact that .380 ammo is expensive compared to 9mm and sometimes hard to find but that's not the guns fault lol
just incase anyones wondering, the first editions are one of the 1st of the 2000 walther pk 380s made.if they dont say 1st edition their made after the 1st 2000. doesnt change anything just moraly satisfying i guess you could say
You can safely dry fire pretty much any hand gun. If you want to get better and more accurate shooting your gun, dry fire at least 10 mminutes a day. It makes a world of difference. Do NOT dry fire a rifle though.
nragreer yu must be like really rich to be buying guns for your 8 year old o and no offense but if your wife has a body guard dont yu think thta when the time comes for you to protect her she will think yu cant do it and rely on that other guy ........ i dont know thats just not good for a marrige ( just saying dint want to be negative )
The best way to know about your pistol,And dry firing. Some books the pistol come with will tell you. And if not,Next best way to know. The test is==-- You have a phone in the house.Phones are so cool,You can call and ask about your pistol.Just think about,The pin has a stopper on it. Like a door and the jam of the door. So you keep closing the door hard . And everyone knows what starts up slowly doing to the jam of the door.
Love your pistol & The pistol will save your life.
For a 380 it is a very nice pistol, I just picked one up for my 8 year old daughter. And it sound like one as well. But my lady's body guard 380 sounds like a 9mm going off.
But both of them are very nice pistols.
No crying masp3392,< Just funning <.. Not at all hard to break down. All that is,The pk380 just has more safety to the pistol. Ya the spring some what,But still it's just a 380 spring. Just a low coast, To buy a new one. My kriss is a fun one to break down.
Nice review, but I have to say what so many others have said. My GF owns this gun and I just can't get over how much of a pain it is to break down and reassemble compared to my Glock. Having only owned glocks, its almost as if Walther went out of their way to make maintenancing this gun a pain in the ass. Way too many steps, and that spring is just the worst idea in history. Its modern times, and a new standard has been set. I'd like to see other companies live up to that new standard.
@0958mcg LOL ive heard that all my life now i build sniper rifles for the government now and ill tell you the gun is dry fired around a 100 times just to set the trigger dont worry about a dry fire just make sure its not loaded
@murph1911 have you had extraction problems or problems with the barrel? i wanna get one but thees are the only things keeping me from buying the gun. thanks for the vid.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GUN! this was the first real pistol i shot not counting a tiny little 22. caliber the recoil on this gun is just great,im an 11 year old with tiny hands and i shot this perfectly,im a pretty good shot,i shot at a Barney poster and hit him right in between the eyes, after i shot a ruger p85 9mm and that was real fun lol but seriousley its a good gun
@satchboogyfan Actually "Kurt" is a name "Kurz" is the word for "Short" in German. But I heard the person who made the video misspeak as well. Informative video regardless.
@murph1911 ha, dont mention it man. keep the videos coming. I think im gonna go with a springfield XD .40 cal bi-tone 4''. What do you think about that for a CCW?
i can't even watch the full review as your voice is obnoxious as fuck. you have this little smug tone that makes you sound like a fucking douchebag. go do clear eyes commercials
i must admit that the video is informative, but perhaps talking a little faster might be something to consider ... you're mellow approach has a droning effect
i love that it's hammer fired but WTF!?!? how could you not need a slide catch. that means you'll never be able to drop the slide 1handed after loading a fresh mag. in combat like getting robbed or shot at, it might suck to not be able to do that. or what if you have an injured hand, ur basically fucked. other than that, i love the size, shape and build quality. i even like the redundanat ambi safety which in fact shoulda been ditched instead of the slide release.
Well, you have a point about that slide release but honestly - How many gun fights have you been in? How many times did you have to flip magazines rather quickly and how come that you have a spare mag so close at hand?
In my opinion a hammer on a carry gun is a disadvantage, something that can get stuck on a piece of clothing or similar, therefore I like the P99 better. But having said that, same goes for the slide Relase on the P99, so there's always some compromise.
Thank you for your reply. You know, I see it like this: If you carry a small lightweight gun of comparetively small caliber for "just in case" it might as well be a PPK, police officers have done so for decades. If you are really in danger of having to use that gun you better carry something with huge firepower, e.g. a 9 mil with 16 rounds in the mag like the P99. These days police officers do. It's horses for courses, actually.
I agree completely on the slide lock. I have a pair p-22s so my only reason to buy the pk would be if I come across the matching set boxed with both. Love how the serial numbers match on them.
Shot my PK380 all through the two day defensive handgun course in Nevada. Two malfunctions in 250 rounds, and outshot the entire class in every drill with what all the guys with full size XDs and 1911s called my baby gun. I carry it every day now with confidence
Dude, good overview. I love my Walther, would recommend it to anyone as a great CCW sidearm., it's highly accurate which is the most important thing. Americans, remember 9/11 and stay strong...

hey hello great video the only thing that i don't lie about thes gun is the big letters on it thats not my cup of tea with the brand on it and so forth but thats only my own opinion.
Your excitement is a little over the top, might want to tone it down! Anyone with questions about this weapon ask me, I'll give you some responses with enthusiasm, great weapon!
The Viridian for the P22 fits.....Its the same part number for the PK380.....I have it on mine and love it.....It a lot nicer than the cheap Walther one.....

Walther's thought process sucks. For what the PK380 weighs it should have more features.
WTF, you need a key to take it down?!!! That is retarded.

Your excitement is a little over the top, might want to tone it down! Anyone with questions about this weapon ask me, I'll give you some responses with enthusiasm, great weapon!
