That entire stories and poems cannot carry the weight and emotion of a single note and that music has power to express one's soul. 9 minutes without a single word and I'm on the verge of tears. my father told me, that, the duduk have a legend.. : One man had a child who became ill and died .. and he made some of his bone flute that every time he played it he was crying. But duduk made from the apricot tree :)))

Warning- the Duduk is VERY hard to play. The reeds have to have just the right amount of moisture and you have to blow very hard to make a sound.

I suggest the clarinet instead.

Had a duduk when was child. I think duduk is the instrument that is closer to me than any other instrument, as to any other armenian too.

When listening this music I remember the entire armenian history in my brain and it makes my tears to run down from my eyes. Probably if you read armenian history you will not get it as good as when you hear a duduk's melody!!!

Thanks to Yanni for binding the duduk and the violin in such a wonderful way and thanks to the guy who uploaded this.
