Didn't take long for the Daily Kos talking points to show themselves. The Commerce Clause gives the Federal Government the authority to provide funding for a National Highway System.

You bring up a good point with the National Education System. This is a perfect example of a completely worthless branch of government and I would support it's abolishment. Cities and States can handle education just fine.

@YaymeeT National Education System - our schools were set up with local school boards and local taxes for fund them. National Education is wrong and their interference is a major problem with today's failing schools. States, countries, townships, and villages take care of the roads. The feds (Jimmy) held the states hostage when he lowered the speed limit to 55. Illegal. Wrong. Always will be wrong. Never will get over it.
