They're not just for pugs, either. Even dogs that can swim fine can be helped with these. On our boat, our dog always wears one. If she jumps or falls over, its a lot easier to get her back in the boat by using the handle on the back, than trying to manhandle a wet, panicking dog without a handle.
i didnt know you were allowed to have pugs in water because it gets into thier wrinkles, other wise i would have let mine swim. love the life jackets!
