In that book he had written in the early to mid eighties, he was young with brown beard and smoked a pipe. He looks older now and not sure if he still smokes the pipe. Going to his camp and meeting him would be cool thing to do.
When I was a kid growing up in India, I read a book called "White Lions of Timbavati" and was hooked on wildlife, especially the carnivores. I would read everything and anything on Lions and Tigers. I had just then stumbled upon the White Tigers of Rewa and fascinated by how blue their eyes were. I recently saw white Lions in the zoo and saw how blue their eyes are too! But McBride's book took me straight into the heart and soul of Africa. I hope one day to go this camp. Krish
