Fats "thought "of handful of keys during this recording session??? "Handful" dates back to 1929 so this recording session is from 1929???? Well when ever I play piano mostly ragtime and I try to work in a Waller stride style TO my playing! I HATE bragging but I have wonderful fun playing magnetic and sugar cane rags! Is there any such thing as having this deemed a historic recording, historic work from the period?
This is great!!! I was just reading Condon's book in which he describes being hired to find Waller and make sure he arrives in four days with a rehearsed band. Condon wasn't even supposed to play, he just had to make sure Waller showed up. But, after four days of drinking gin with Fats, Condon got him to the studio. Thanks Eddie Condon, for it is from this recording session that Handful of Keys was born.

supposed to be the Harlem Fuss, the titles were reversed on the original issue!

sad in my opinion that you think this too fast/harsh...ohhhhhhhhhhhh for me its almost perfect! I play this over n over n over!
