  • saw the XC 221's at a service station in cornwall. Sound epic!

  • tilting train should be on tilting lines only this would mean less delay and a better paid service. and if they whant tilting train they sould mend the routs so the trains can tilt

  • i just hope the tolets worked virgen messed up big on that

  • no their not

  • Cross County r the worst train company EVER!!!!!

    Virgin r 100% Better!!!!

  • cross country (orginal network) Arriva bully some network by stealing them like virgin cross country voyager and central and national express hst's well a least some of them do you get my point. 5/5

  • im based at Taunton, dont forget that Adelantes were part built by Bombardier as Alstom were low on funds n most of the unreliability was because they fit parts from both parties! they had the engine faults of Voyagers but the budget set backs by Alstoms fund department wich is why there brakes were catastrophic and those doors were next to suicidal if u get off too late! they look amazin tho! alstom have obviously have made success in there fund department and are re engineering ALL the fleet.

  • hey kool! if your based at taunton I must of seen you like a million times cause I work for First Great Western as a customer Host. I guess you work on the platforms lol cause thats the only way you can be based at Sunny Taunton :D

  • lmao na, i want to apply on the network but XC are SHIT at reviewing applicants!

  • @CrossCountryTrainz Why are there no shops onboard CrossCountry trains? I was on a 7 hour journey from Leeds to Truro and there was nothing to eat or drink for hours because of the shitty trolley system! Plus the trains they use are way too short for the length of journey they do, four coaches what the hell?

  • where are you based to?

  • *unavoidable

  • learn from virgin's minor mistakes?!!!

    NO!!!

They need to learn from their own HUGE(understatement) mistakes when they ran Arriva Trains Northern.

Quite frankly I will be refusing to pay to use cross country trains until they change hands again in 2016 unless it is totally 100% avoidable. Given what they did to our local stopping services in south yorkshire they deserve no passengers whatsoever. I'd have taken virgin any day, but not them!!!

  • I do agree here with you EuroDC1990 Arriva need to sort themselfs out and big time the trains are wrecked they are not up to the standard virgin had them in and the customer service really has gone out the window when I was working for Virgin Trains it was all about the customer every time and I still stand by that now and carry it through in my new job because without customers there is no point in running a train service.

  • malteasermilly...

I have travelled on a couple of cross country trains over the last few days without paying (I live in south yorkshire and with it being the college holidays I have had a pass for free travel in south yorkshire), going between sheffield and doncaster. The last train I went on had no member of staff coming around-I was sat in the quiet coach and none was monitoring it, I had to ask two very loud teenage girls to quieten down as they were shouting and people were getting annoyed.

  • which just proves what i am saying that crosscountry trains have no customer service where as when it was virgin trains they did but then on the other hand seeing how hectic a train can get the train manager may of had a problem and was dealing with it. if you had such a huge problem with these girls you should of either moved to another coach or told the buffet staff they would of been happy to help you.

  • ..and the one before that took 59 minutes between sheffield and doncaster, got part way and stopped-stood for ten minutes before anyone decided to tell us anything. turned out there was a problem with points, clearly not cross country's fault but they decided to reverse the train and use a different line which took much longer. the conductor said in the announcements that he would tell people before arriving at sheffield about alternate connecting trains for those who needed them but never did!

  • again this may be due to a problem and the train manager being unable to get to a P.A system but then the buffet host could of done it for him but then he could of been busy i do agree what your saying but there may be good enough reasons why they could not do it.

  • yeah, I geuss I could have asked someone at the buffet-never thought about that, and maybe the conductor was busy, but still I disagree that I should have moved when I was in the quiet carriage. I mean, that's the whole point of having a quiet carriage-so you can have a quiet relaxing journey.

I just want the old operators back-they all change and mess it up, when the previous operators had things running relatively well!!!

Why change what is good? especially with MML and Virgin

  • thats what we are put there for :) I do agree with you it was due to the people sat around a table somewhere who dont actually get to see how well the rail company is doing they sit comparing propsals for changes and see who is better on paper. its annoying because now the crosscountry line has to start all over again ( crosscountry is the name of the line the trains run on before it was crosscountry trains it was Virgin crosscountry) I do agree with you why do you have to move .

  • sorry virgins minor mistakes ??????? what mistakes are those?????

  • Music's great!

  • yea i agree! wat was i thinkin!

  • no need for the music. shite, shite song.

  • Great Vid!
