Randy Travis has Lyme disease and was very ill during this performance. Lyme attacks the vocal cords and everything else in the body, it causes severe inflammation. In the late stages it attacks the heart and often causes death. it has become an epidemic and is spreading faster then AIDS ever did. Educate yourself on this horrific disease. I don't know if it's fair to say that Lauren is "better" than Carrie; Carrie has has years of training and Lauren has never even taken vocal lessons. However, I definitely prefer the tone and just the general sound of Lauren's voice. It's just personal preference..so I don't think there's a point in arguing about it.
