@GoWjames10u That's because they based Raikov's character model on Raiden as a reference to the negative controversy towards Raiden during Metal Gear Solid 2 (Well, at least statewide, I heard that apparently his fanbase was even bigger in Japan than even Solid Snake's fanbase.)

@Puferu Raiden wasn't even born in the setting this game took place, so no, he didn't turn to the dark side. Raikov was designed to resemble Raiden in reference to the negative feedback to Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2.

@smd1kid No thats the point, thats because of the secret missions they use to go on, they had detonator bombs attached to there heartbeat so if they died the enemy couldn't get there body. It's in a codec call!

@doow90 Something like that, it's not quite related to their heartbeat as much as receiving a fatal wound and having some pressure placed on it. The pressure thing was implied with The End if he passes from old age (after Snake's call discovering this, a cutscene plays where The End's parrot lands on his chest, pecks it a few times, flies away, and then The End's corpse explodes as Snake walks away.)

@Pokeria1 Yh I was just saying the short version to him, to basically make it apparent that when they die they explode, btw it is there heartbeat, Sigint says "Yo man they keep exploding, whats with that, I guess it has something to do with the detonator they carry incase of capture, I heard something about an explosive that reads heart beat patterns to determine detonation being created in the West, I guess the cobra unit got there hands on the intel." Either way its a great game :)

It confused me enough knowing when you first start in the game wearing a mask that looks like Raiden and then you gotta strip a dude that looks like Raiden. And then I think in one of the lockers theres a poster of Raiden O.o funny
