  • yea... i'm not getting that 1:17 minutes back.. ever.. you owe me. now practice. lol

  • awesome you have the same name as me AND I play the tuba! haha

  • :55 does that Tuba have a russian accent?

  • GOD SAVE THE TSAR!!!

  • loved the awesome look in ur eyes at the end you were awesome btw!

  • hahahah "zah zuuzahzuzahzuzuzzahh"

  • I love how you sang the other parts. and if anyone critiques you on anything other than a few very slight articulation fuzzes then they are just jelous cause you rock.

  • clean it up

  • Dude you play tuba and your name is Dylan I play tuba and my name is Dillon!

  • Try not to breath until end of phrase is my only suggestion.

  • Nice tuba. $16,000 huh? Might as well tell us all what you're playing on then!

  • I play a Meinl Weston 2155 5/4 5 Valve CC Tuba. I practice in my room, but the sound is tiny. When I get to the rehearsal hall or the venue it sounds friggin huge. The concept is kinda like putting a sub-woofer in a tiny box, it just doesn't work. The more open space you have, the better a tuba sounds.

  • WANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKERWANKER

  • what kind of tuba is that?

  • Not bashing you, Dylan, but you need to support your notes and stop breathing every few notes. Keep a steady embouchure and take HUUUUUUGE breaths. Push yourself to hold those notes out, even if it makes your head hurt because of lack of oxygen. You play a brass instrument, you've got to tough it out! :D Best of luck, Dylan.

  • What tuba is it? the MANUFACTURER AND THE KEY

  • I've got the second excerpt with me, Good work on the triplets, but come on BLOW THE THING!!! You play the Tuba for Christs sake

  • He's blowing just fine, its the acoustics of the room he's in that make it sound mediocre at best. I've played my Tuba in my bedroom and it sounds like crap in there, but then when we performed with PSU at their facility I was amazed how good I sounded in that place.

  • horriblle phrasing

  • haha that was great

  • What kind of horn is this? It looks kinda similar to Jacobs York tuba.

  • i play da barritone lmao

  • lol towards the end you could tell he was just foolin around

  • Where? Lol, besides the "Da da dadadada" he sang into the horn he played the song like it is.

  • dude...pitch stability...you're all over the place

  • yeah i can hear that also

  • I'd love to hear a full arrangement of this song for brass band that would be awesome:D

  • gay.......

  • Reminds me of Atom Heart Mother.

  • Holy cow, that's a HUGE tuba

  • como es eso de mover la valvula mientras tocas....???

  • dudadaddadad duadadada LOL

I laughed so much at this part!

    Nice =)

  • dude, sounds great, but i don't think the gw mouthpiece works with that tuba. you should try a big laskey or something like a pt50. no heavy shell crap, just normal. i think you'll find your sound will be bigger and more vibration is possible. gw's are good mouthpieces, don't get me wrong, but they are good for certain things, like solo playing, especially with piano where you don't need the most resonant sound but you need a lot of focus etc. try the pt50 out and let me know what you think ...

  • I like Miraphone Bb tubas with 4 rotary valves. Too bad they're like 7,000$ :(.

  • nice, how you singing the trumpet-fanfare at the end..:)

  • Can I have you tuba?

  • For $16,000 you can have it.

  • Hmmmm...noted.

  • @tubadylan how about $16? JKJK beautiful tuba though!

  • @tubadylan does that include tax?

  • @tubadylan I'm sorry but would you maybe rather be paid in the delicious taste of Trident Layers? .... Had too say it....

  • @tubadylan RIP-OFF! CHEAP-ASS!

  • I used to play the double Bb tuba - I had to stop. It was beginning to rattle my house apart. Every bloody thing in the building vibrated. I now play piccolo.

  • Funny the second part is just basically the tsarist anthem. One would not even notice if you put it on the net under that name:P (if you leave out the last part ofcourse...)

  • i love how he breaths after almost every two or three beats. man, the ending was horrible too. damn, i wish i had that tuba.

  • @Zombbg4

    stop hating, moron.

  • Where are all the runs? Cmon now, why you holdin out?

  • omg nice

especially the improv towards the end

    "badadada *note* baddadadada *note*"

    lol =D

  • the best of this video is when you sing at the end

  • you really really need to work on your articulation. and more air support is needed. sometimes, at night, i think to myself... if the stars fall out of the sky will i be able to catch one? and if i do... will it be made of tiny tiny astronauts?

  • Sometimes at night I think to myself, "Why are so many people wise in their own eyes?"

  • nice!

  • Play Williams' Tuba Concerto (1985)

  • Yeah, that's easy.

  • Cool

  • @tubadylan

    haha, yeah...not really

  • tutitantuntuntuntantintun tuititantuntunnanan

  • Ah yes, I remember playing that...Its quite fun and you play it well. very funny with the singing in between all of that. At the end, maybe play a little less forced and Im not sure if it was the tounging or the video player, but it sounded like a few of the notes had unclear starts to them. Its a very beautiful tuba though.

  • Great job. Nice tuba!

  • nice job man, u shoulda played n a bigger room, that woulda brought out ur true tone

  • Very nive ;)

  • Great Job!

  • nice, great piece of work, fav part of the piece too, especially the begnning a bunch of friggin diminshed chords. awesome!

  • Beautiful tuba!!! Not bad playing:
