However, latter that evening the oath was taken again at the White House. But in truth, only Johnson when he was sworn in on Air Force One said the actual wording written in the Constitution. Since, we have computers to do work jobs are being replaced by machines while the population continues to increase. So, in order for capitalism to continue to work. First of all, he is the Chief of Justice. Second, Obama should have asked him at that moment to do it again if he felt it wasn't done correctly as a result of the "Chief Justice's fault." Just admit that Obama made a mistake. He had just as much a part of it as the Chief Justice did. Plus, during the re-do, why, was there only audio? why were only 4 journalist there? They controlled all of the information! Please open your eyes people!

It was not obama that messed up the oath, it was the preist. Notice at 00:17 seconds and after, the preist said the oath differently and Obama nodded correctly indeed proving that seeing as he corrected him self.

EVERYONE READ THIS!! Obama did not mess up his oath. It's a constitutional requierment that the new president says the oath word for word the same way every single president has or the oath is not official. The preist presenting the oath to Obama said the oath wrong. That is why it apeared that Obama cut him off. AND also the long pause obama took. he was giving the preist the opertunity to represent the oath correctly so that Obama was following the requirements.

Obama really didn't mess up. Flowboarder 44 is correct. After Roberts didn't get it right Obama let it go and said the word faithfully at the end. However, latter that evening the oath was taken again at the White House. But in truth, only Johnson when he was sworn in on Air Force One said the actual wording written in the Constitution. Roosevelt didn't have his right hand up, which doesn't mean that he was wrong neccessarily. People study other Oaths and read the wording before you talk.

Although I'm not the biggest Obama fan, in his defense some of these responses are quite ignorant. The Chief Justice messed up the line, Obama paused after "execute" probably realizing that the Chief had not recited it correctly. Obama only recited one word incorrectly, which was putting "faithfully" at the end instead of "faithfully execute" because of the way the Chief Justice recited it.
