OMG. I remember this show! It used to be a comic too! I used to read the comics and I used to watch this version of Astro Boy on Adult Swim in like,4:00 AM. :)

The greatest! Maybe not quite as good as Gigantor but I enjoy singing it too and I'm 47!!!! What a great time it was to grow up, so innocent and simple. I loved this little guy so much. I wanted some jet-propelle shoes as well! How about it Hasbro!!!

THANK YOU FOR THE LYRICS!!!!! :) I was born in the 1990's, so I was raised with anime, but I didn't find Astro Boy until I was 13 and even then, I had to stay up SO late to watch it, I never retained the lyrics! But now that I'm more of a fan, I've been WAY curious to see the lyrics to the 1960's version. :) Now I have to find out the lyrics that get a little muffled in the 1980's. lol

I never cared much for the series but I always enjoyed the theme song, especially this version. It has stayed with me all through the years. The children sing with innocent, enthusiastic admiration for their hero. The background music arrangement is excellent, never competing with but, instead, lending perfect support to the children. Far superior to other versions.
