I really love this movie, though some wrong historical facts buged me...I'm such a looser for knowing this, there was no communist scare in the 30's, people actually thought it was a good idea. There was one in the 20's though, and the Packard was a 40's car... I think. Anyone know for sure?

The Packard Motor Car Company was founded in 1899. While there was no communist scare in the 1930s, Communism in America did not reach it's peak until 1939, 3 years after the movie. Besides, it's not supposed to be 100% accurate, just a funny musical.
