This was really wonderful, thanks! I actually took three vibe lessons Curry Tjader back when I was 13 (in the mid 60s). He was a very nice man, extremely talented, and very laid-back, as I recall. Very sorry to hear that he died. I hope he had a good life!

What a delight to see this. Sad to think both Julius and Curry are no longer with us... This group always seemed to exist in the shadow of Herb and the TJB... Let's not forget the two great songwriters from the BMB; original guitarist Bud (Ervan) Coleman, who wrote "Tijuana Taxi", and of course, Julius Wechter who wrote many classics including "Spanish Flea".
