  • I love the duelhorn side story, i just wish it was longer

  • i love a2, some call me crazy, i say; Why.

this tactics wasnt made "as the dev team stated' for main story, it was made to focus on sidequests and sidestories which it surpassed focused and hit majored which is why i loved it, it felt like majoras mask with final fantasy 12 together, and it just felt right.

  • hypercam?! hahaha get camstudio...damn dont even search just use what other fools use?

  • w0w

  • this works until ur summoner runs out of hp. but then again u can always self cast

  • @antidark001 yes

  • @34shamune why??

  • Good tactic for used Quicken

  • eso si es ser un estratega de categoría, buen juego!

  • Discovered something similar to this a while ago by mistake, i love this game because of it's countless way to break itself.

  • yippie...winning in roulette is so much easier with these tips that i got from Roulette Secret...!! they really work wonders..check them out now..!!

  • i lost at the last tower level lol it was so hard nearly took me 1/2 an hour to kill all except fr 1 which kept moving and i cant attack it XDDDDD

  • that is cool, but i think destroying is best (exept 4 ghosts)

  • I got pure power so I pwn anyways I pwned all tower without game advice lolls

  • @everywhoworshipsthis ya suck....I rather destroy em all

  • Eh I rather destroy em, to nothing

  • Looks like this could work against pretty much every mission...except of course the motherhubbing Brightmoon Tor...

  • its a hacker you dont know?

  • Wow i hav 2 of them i will try it XD i hope that i could beat the tower with this

  • Ah, you see, this infinite loop is useful...

What is funny, and absolutely ridiculous is having 2 jugglers use smile on each other repeatedly, and use that to travel around the map, but is almost useless since you can't do damage during the loop, but I guess it could be used to gain MP for Ultima Charge or something like that...

  • man where can i find this song AMAZING

  • well i can't use all these techniques I never got good weapons from the bazaar T_T

  • first - awesome music - second, parley isn't related to your kill count, it's related to the health of ur target, the lower the health, the higher percentage it will work - this also happens with the spell Death

  • I like to use ranger mirror item so I can reverse effect of hi potion or phoenix down for massive damage, plus item lord ability and hi potion can do 400 damage lol

  • Can anynone tell me, how can I use parley(paladin), it's always 0% of chance, with low, high and critical HP?

  • Parley's hit rate may possibly be related to your kill count. Supposedly if you have KO'd over 255 enemies, Parley's hit rate is 0%.

  • @tried42long No, actually it depends on the remaining health of the enemy. If you've taken away 50% of their total health, then you ahve a 50% of parley working.

  • @italjha36 I think it works only on non-monsters, like Oust works only on monsters. Considering Parley is negotiations, it makes sense.

  • damn i didnt know that thx alot XD

  • that unbalance is waht makes it a cool game xD

  • You forget, paladins have epic combos, not to mention the massive de-buffs and tanking

  • what epic combos?

Defender = aura + sacrifice for a good one shot and self rez. Nothing can beat that. Time mage/assassin can also help guarantee a one shot.

  • Paladins can heal with nurse, force others to flee with parley, save others from charm and confusion with subdue... It's a human defender.

But I have to admit, Aura is awesome.

  • @boburanus69 Aura takes 28 MP to use. Unless you have someone who can heal MP or both Halve HP and MP Efficiency, you won't be able to use it first turn. Meltdown has bad accuracy. When you get revived, you will be at very low health. It's an alright combo but it has many flaws.

  • cannoneers have ether shot, which gives a good 50 MP

  • That's true, but then you might as well just put an Angel Ring on for auto reraise. Ultima Attacks, although kind of cheap, at least hit when you use them and still manage to do massive damage.

  • Cool.

  • This made me LOL. I don't use jugglers cuz they are gay.

  • Jugglers are one of the best classes in the game.. >.>...

This strategy is old news though.

  • but if the other have the ability to couter magic or have quicken too or hide???

  • Enemy reactions abilities do not pose much threat to the loop.

Equip appropriate absorption and/or immunity items on the Viera against Counter Magick.

Move the Moogle above the enemy with Critical: Quicken. If I recall correctly, the game will check for reaction ability activation from the bottom up. If the Moogle is above the enemy, the Moogle's Critical: Quicken will activate second and become the next unit to move.

  • Against Critical: Hide, simply deal enough damage to KO the enemy without activating Critical: Hide. I do not think any enemies have Critical: Hide, so this ability is not an issue.

  • ok but is the same te loop only work under certain conditions and for it cant be a infinite loop for all the cases, the Importantly here is the speed, equip and ability of reaction, if you can start, can have power to overcome the magic defenses of the enemies(absorption and immunity) and the enemies ability reaction dont disrupt the loop you always win

  • @tried42long When you say top to bottom, do you mean terrain height? or do you mean postioning (in front of / behind, etc)?

  • does that not get boring?

  • nice strategy

at first i thought it was dumb but it actually is pretty smart

    kudos to you

  • LOL amazing really smart =)

  • just do smile toss to moogle and make him do it back infinite turns

  • but it doesnt damage anybody

  • wow man u are smart

  • :D if u have a high leveled team infinite loop is kinda useless

  • i thot u can only double cast red magic?

    is the sumoning red magic?

or can u double cast any magick art the

    character has learned? (plz reply)

  • Nah, DoubleCast can apply only to whatever magic is available at use.

As long as you have it in your Red Magicks set in one of the two Ability slots, you can DoubleCast.

The hard part for me is getting all 990 points to master it. xD Only 1 viera on my old FFTA GBA file has it.

  • and in that one you need an extra 9 AP to master it, lol

  • Just because there are parts of a game that you can exploit to do epic things doesn't make it unbalanced. You choose whether you make your characters abuse these things, not square enix.

  • cOOLLLLLL

  • wow nice one ;p but i dont understand it at all :P

  • What's A Infinite Loop? (PLEASE Reply)

  • A set of instructions repeated again and again. In this case, Summons are repeated without the monsters being able to move.

  • I did not use Phoenix on those Zombies for 2 reasons, both pertaining to practicality.

    1. This video is meant to show a general usage of the Infinite Loop, implying its great flexibility. Not all monsters will be Zombies. To apply a specific case (attack with the element that the target is weak against) on a general video is conflicting. For the sake of example, I did not apply a specific case. Otherwise, the video would have less value.

  • 2. Using Phoenix means that the Moogle will recover back to 100% HP and that the second summon NEEDS to deal 87.5% of the Moogle's total HP for the Moogle to be at a favorable HP range to continue the Infinite Loop. It is not practical for the second summon to deal 87.5% of HP because this would require extremely specific setup. It's better to use two summons that heal and damage around the same amount for the Moogle to remain at the same HP after each loop cycle for the loop to continue longer

  • i have crimson tear, snowy tear, and azure tear.

  • you know Phoenix also works a phoenix down, removing zombies and such from play, right?

if you knew, just reminding ya.

  • that breaks the loop

  • Phenix on the zombies and all die no? x)

  • I hate FFTA2 :( It's just not fun to me, FFT 4 LYF!!

  • this has a really high flexibility, thus made it easy to abuse.

  • theres another way to keep an infinite turn, but it doesn't deal damage and needs 2 moogles... make them both jugglers and make them throw smiles at each other for quicken.

  • The problem with that infinite loop is that it doesn't allow you to deal any damage like this infinite loops does.

  • yea, but they get exp for each throw.

  • Nice find. I usually go with Sage/Time Mage and Juggler/Bard set up with Tiptaptwo so that I can get haste on five of my units almost always at the start. Works pretty well, even in the BMT.

    But still, nice.

  • cute moogle!

  • do you have azure tear

  • technically it would be better to get the moogle to do a heal (Omnis Cannon) instead of smile toss right? cuz the thing that makes this loop stop is if the red mage runs out of hp.

  • The Red Mage can heal the same way the Moogle heals - via summons and element absorption.

  • how is your moogle not dieing

  • The magic heals it then hurts it, making it go into quicken each time

  • If you want to ruin the game with a boring loop, then thats your choice, not the games balance.

  • This.

I don't need to comment on tried42long's idiocy.

  • FFTA2 is a lovely game!

    It certainly isn't unbalenced.

You just discovered something you could use infinatly, that doesn't mean the game isn't unbalenced.

It is a lovely game and you can spend much time in it. I love the game!

  • it's good, but I'm pissed by these things:

-Double hand vs Attack Up (attack up adds 30% to your attack. Doublehand adds 9 atk points, no shield, no knuckles, no 2 handed weaps)

-Strikeback vs reflex (the only good about reflex is that it lets you dodge magic frenzy's physical)

-counter vs Bonecrusher (bonecrusher's bugged, does normal damage).

-The White King (Nu Mou) has Blood Price, you dont.

-Your enemies dont follow rules (excuse: they have different rules to follow, that's unfair still).

  • No, they just dont have a judge. That's why they cant use Pheonix Downs like we can

  • Either way, they have no judge, they have different rules. In the end, those are just excuses. The game's very good at first look, but for long time gamers, the system's messed up big time.

I havent mentioned knot of rust and dark matter. They 're complete time waster.

    Chocobo Knight is gimmicky.

Also, I stand corrected on reflex, that skill's quite valuable for Nu Mou and Viera.

Still, I'm playing it now, because it's easy, and I want to make the best team ever, even though it's not worth

  • So, he game is worthless (in your opinion) but you still want to play it?!

  • Your opinion's the game's worthless overall.

But in my opinion, only the system's broken. Anything else' fine.

Since I'm interested in job changing type of game, I will keep playing it.

  • i want to know why the enemys arent afected by laws i get so *issed off when theres a damn elemntal law but the enemy gets the *uck away with using them like the flans. or the debuff law and marlbros get away with useing them does anyone else notice this. did the game designers get lazy or what?

  • I think the other side usually doesn't have a judge (that's why they can't use things like phoenix down) and if they do have a judge they would be playing by a different set of rules probably.

  • Time for a boring lecture.

Clans hire judges to protect them from death and make them gain an advantage against their foes and you get rewards. However, judges must be reminded that they are in control, and you must follow their laws. If you do not follow their laws, they basically ditch you and you are on your own, you are no longer protected form death and you lose your power privelige and your rewards. Enemies dont have a judge, that is why they can avoid the laws.but dey cant revive can dy?

  • What blows is how much the AI cheats in this game as if the programmers said "f-it" and not bother making "hard" be hard in the sense the game would be at least closer to the smarts FFT had.

Instead we end up with units that get guaranteed 1st turns no matter what you do (hello 3rd Brightmoon Tor) and units that have abilities that your own units could never learn (lol Blood Price Nu Mou?). Lame.

  • Yeah, I know what you mean. Hard mode isn't hard at all, just cheap. I've been doing every mission as they come in the pub, until I can't do any more, then I do the story mission, then I progress....I'm 30 levels overleveled. How fucking lame is that? At this point the game is a joke and I can blow through mission in under 5 minutes easily.

  • I haven't played the second game but I have great expereince with the first but wouldn't it be better for two jugglers to continulously use smile, unless somehow they restricted that

  • "Two jugglers with smile toss wouldn't be able to attack, they'd have to constantly smile toss each other or they'd break the loop and one of them wouldn't be quickened." ~~ jeden2

  • Whoa, I have a Red Mage/Summoner named Nefisha, too. O_o

  • autually, its not an INFINITE loop cause it stops when u run out of mana

  • If you notice, the spells are using HP not MP. HP can be easily restored, so this is theoretically an infinite loop.

  • Lol nice method, I would never have thought of this, you're really good.

    5/5

  • its not that i dont agree with you although a lot of the game is about customizing your characters to make them powerful and fun to play as just so you know im not a hater and i love your videos (my comment was so long i had to do two comments)

  • yes i agree you do seem to know a lot about this game i was just thinking you can make a powerful character without just using a couple of overpowered moves, for example, ultima sword, charge, ect, is an overpowered attack but dont you think that the game would get boring if you just used one move to beat the game?

  • Having variety would be ideal. But, this game is so imbalanced that it's usually better to stick to one ability. If ability-X deals 500 damage and ability-Y has the same effect but deals 450 damage, there is no point in using ability-Y. Ability-X is all you need even if this tactic doesn't have variety. Ultima Masher is better than most other abilities to the point where having 6 Assassins is better than most other teams. (3 Assassin is actually better than 6. But, that's another story.)

  • I see your apparent point and do agree with you, though I dont have anything else to say. I have a slightly different opinion then you but im not really trying to start an arguement. thx for replying

  • i am quessing this is how u beat the 5 kings mission where they are all lvl99?

  • No, I did it the old fashion way while trying to steal all the good stuff. The problem was that the game doesn't save afterward.

  • omg this guy is so smart and the enemies wont come to life cuz theyll never have a turn XDXDXDXDXDXDXD

  • my red mage is the exact same level, though my moogle is a lot stronger.

  • This also works in FFTA. You could also just skip the entire doublecast setup by just bringing two jugglers...

  • You can only perform so many cycles in FFTA. MP was limited. In FFTA2, Blood Price and healing allows for an infinite amount of cycles.

"Two jugglers with smile toss wouldn't be able to attack, they'd have to constantly smile toss each other or they'd break the loop and one of them wouldn't be quickened." ~~ jeden2

  • Whoops. But it DOES make an infinite EXP loop, which is nice.

  • Damn funny :) Kind of Blazing Robe or what does this Moogle was wrapped in, and - errm - blood price casts from 500hp pool.

  • what item allows Nu Mou to learn blood price?

and how did u get 3 angel rings? i only found 1 so far

  • Your own Nu Mou cannot learn Blood Price without a cheating device.

Angel Rings can be obtained through the Bazaar System. The items needed are Lightwing Crystal + Mythril + Wyrmtwig.

  • Hey, You seem to know alot about the game, I'm wondering what you'd recommend for the test questions int he begginning and how I should change my party (Class wise) to be able to dominate the game from start to finish... and funny video btw XD

  • Answers and rewards for the diary questions are found here: gamefaqs,com/portable/ds/code/937330,html (replace commas with periods)

At the beginning, there's not much you can do other than exchanging hits. Bangaa Warrior has the highest HP base and growth in the game with decent attack. The most overpowered ability in early is the Green Mage's Sleep, so try to get the Battle Mace as soon as possible.

  • Seeq Ranger's Mirror Item is a very overpowered ability. Get the Nail Bow. Go to Aldanna Range during Emberleaf and Plumfrost to get a chance to recruit a Ranger.

Mirror Item is powerful enough to beat the game with. But if you want something even more powerful, use Ultima.

Bangaa Trickster's Ultima Sword is the 2nd best Ultima potentially, and the 3rd easiest to get. In Baptiste Hills, recruit a Bangaa Bishop during Greenfire or Bloodfire. Auction for the Luminous Robe in Flourgis.

  • Teach the Bishop Halve MP with the Luminous Robe. Learn 2 Warrior abilities and job change to Gladiator. Auction for the Materia Blade in Flourgis. Teach Ultima Sword with the Materia Blade to the Gladiator. With Halve MP, your Bangaa use Ultima Sword every other turn. To use Ultima Sword every turn, use the MP Channeling clan privilege, which is gotten by completing Aptitude-Adaptibillity Lv5. For long range Ultima Sword, learn 2 Dragoon abilities and equip a cannon with the Cannoneer class.

  • You'll want to use your overpowered units as often as possible. So, most of the rest of your 6-member team can be Time Mages. Recruit Nu Mou Time Mages in Moorabelle during Rosefire or Coppersun. Get the Thor Rod to learn Quicken. With MP Channeling, it is possible to use Quicken every turn.

In the end, your Bangaa will use ranged Ultima every turn while Time Mages cast Quicken to make those turns come faster.

*tip: level up the Bangaa as a Trickster as much as possible.

  • One more thing: the reason Mirror Item is so broken is that Mirror X-Potion deals consistent 200 damage. Combo with Item Lore learned from Wizard's Hat and that's 400 damage.

  • Question about the auction items.. I've been auctioning all day (Even doing it now) and I've gotten the starting with an extra 3,2,1 bet coins or w/e but nothing else, how do I get the ITEMS? :{ and good to know about the green mages sleep - I usually get the battle mace like the first game lol, prolly gonna start over from scratch.. pick all the right questions in the beginning and stuff.. thanks alot for the info!

  • Win all the areas in one region's auction house in one auction. The next time you play at that region's auction house, you will bid for items instead of areas.

  • Angel Rings can also be obtained from auctioning

  • how do u get ninja job?

  • Learn 4 Thief A-ability as a Hume.

  • wow nice

  • how did your red mage get so much mp?

  • Blood Price : Allows user to use magick even if there is no MP, but it consumes HP and x2 the cost of MP. (ex: if a summoner has blood prince, Instead of consuming 16 MP it would cost 32 HP.)

  • its unbalanced but its an awesome game =)

  • idk thats kinda gay... takes a lot longer to kill enemys but its useful too

  • isn't leamond supposed to ride a chocobo xD

  • Chocobo Knights are much better unmounted for several reasons.

  • but then they're just knights

  • They're knights that can equip any bladed weapon and possess the highest speed growth of any class - exactly what I want for this combo.

  • nice, i only have a lame moogle fusilier, and animists suck, so i don't want to change him into one first, so the chances arent that great for me to have a chocobo knight, that, and im too lzy to search for a chocobo

  • This has nothing to do with the video, but how do you change the names of your units?

  • you can't name your units, but there is a trick i use, i save before going to a new person and if i don't like the name. i load and go to them again, repeat

  • wow that was ubersmexy :P

    i gotta try that

  • Was this possible in FFTA

  • You can only perform so many cycles in FFTA. MP was limited. In FFTA2, Blood Price and healing allows for an infinite amount of cycles.

  • Can't you just use Penelo? She has Viera classes and Critical: Quicken.

  • CRT: Quicken does not activate on the same turn as the user.

  • Ah...okay. Thanks for telling me before I wasted my time learning abilities.

  • That's awesome! I gotta try that.

    ~El-Matto

  • Read "How to perform the infinite loop:".

It's the only way to repeatedly active Critical: Quicken - the key to continue the infinite loop.

  • what is a loop anyway

  • A set of instructions that repeat over and over again. In this case, Summons are cast repeatedly. The monsters do not get a chance to attack.

  • The moogle is getting healed from it.

Must of been an element absorbed. That was your units heal and your enemies don't. Very nice strategy.

  • that's really cool and a great observation. It could work with any class that can cast quicken which really breaks the game. Oh well. In my opinion the total domination that you obtain in FFTA2 is one of the best parts about it. I understand how this breaks the game though.

  • Like I said, there are a few ways to perform the infinite loop.

The Moogle can be replaced with any unit as long as it has Critical: Quicken and an A-ability that casts Quicken on a target.

The Viera can be replaced with anything that consecutively heals and hurts, such as Doublecast and Magick Frenzy.

The Viera can also be replaced with anything that deals area damage as long as some form of Regen is active on the Moogle or Moogle replacement, but this method is slower and harder to set up.

  • Watch the video more closely. The Viera never used MP.

Besides, I don't even see how your method would help with MP shortage.

  • i knew that lol :P :s

  • the viera never used MP? WTF? It used HP instead??

  • If you have ANY questions about my setup, please feel free to ask.

  • Blood Price : Allows user to use magick even if there is no MP, but it comsumes HP and x2 the cost of MP. (ex: if a summoner has blood prince, Instead of comsuming 16 MP it would cost 32 HP.)

  • ohhh.... tnx thats so useful cuz now you start with 0 mana, know what races can learn this??

  • Viera only

  • Two jugglers with smile toss wouldn't be able to attack, they'd have to constantly smile toss each other or they'd break the loop and one of them wouldn't be quickened.

  • That was awesome.

  • nice dude! : )
