@ellonysman... I know exactly how you feel bud. I'm 48 and trying to learn this and slowly I'm getting there. Its called practise and having the time on your hands to do it. Time is what young kids have plenty of, no commitments, work, financial worries, etc etc. I had the ability and use to play in bands but I treated it like 1 big party and started drinking and smoklng... biggest mistake of my life but at least Im straight and focused now.
@ChrissRoss1 both clips were filmed the same day - which is why he's wearing the same cloths - I edited them together to make one clip. That's why the clock is different.
@Richeray Yeah I know the basics of editing Lol, I was just wondering if someone would reply me somethin' like why the hell are lookin' at the goddam clock insteadd of this pretty bad ass guitarist!
I comment on one of Sols videos about 3 years ago on Utube about how badass he was. He told me he was going to Nashville to record with Brent Mason , and I thought to myself, "sure you are". Look at him now? Doing everything he said, look at me now :)
he taught himself to play like this?????? im going crazy now....how did he do this, books? when youre young your brain can work like a sponge but mine is dried out at fifty six years old, dang, i should have learned early in life....sigh....cry....great work...is he recording or what...must be his trade right? have you seen the guy, named sorenson from denmark...he plays telecaster chicken pickin under youtube...incredible telecaster player...check 'em out
@ellonysman Just watch country lessons and learn all of them and then learn songs and improvise a lot using the little tricks you've learned in the lessons and other riffs.
I've been playing nearly thirty years. Most of my pals say I'm the best around, but nothing I do compares to Sol. What is this guy's motivation? There must be something the rest of us are missing! Sol, you are like John Lennon; thank God you came along!!!
Fxxxx'n smokin' hot!!! I've been playing nearly thirty years and your talent inspires me!!! I've watched all of your current stuff 100's of times. Sol, do us all a favor and post something weekly or at least monthly!
Great hands and instincts -- I hope someone that talented works towards cultivating more of their own voice though. That's what ultimately sets the great players apart -- not the pyrotechnics.
Sol- my english brother - I think you really are the future my friend, Hope to see you play back on yonder UK shores some time soom. If you are ever in london and fancy thrashing the pants out of a 58 relic and a bassman, let me know. Nice one mate
This is so lyrical!!!! What a great talent you are Sol. I'm your biggest fan....from now on.......check it out. Wow!!!! Love this kids stuff......thanks for sharing.
Man, that's some great playing from a young musician! You got soul, bro...Just bought a 52' telecaster reissue myself - it's replaced my beloved strat.
It would be nice to hear you play to some backing tracks or with a band. Although some of what you do is impressive its just a bunch of noodling. Much more impressive to see how you'd phrase all those licks in a practical context.
How do you know you've grown old? When I was 18, my heroes were 40. Now that I'm 40 myself, my heroes turn out to be 18. There are only two possible reactions: to either immediately stop practicing or immediately begin practicing. I choose the latter, but without hope of ever getting there. You're a Paganini, guy!
once again I'm completely awestruck by Sol's playing. this goes right beyond mere technical abiltity and I really do hope, too, we can expect great things from him. someone should tell Eric Clapton to get him for the next round of the Crossroads Festival, in case there will be one...

I think it was the Comprossor side. I know he prefers that side on the one he has.

I thought it was the Ross side! I have a Comprossor and Analogman does a great job with these pedals. I'm thinking of getting a Bi-comp. Thanks!
