its not really a difference on DDR, but lap 3 wouldnt be nearly as fast cuz your supposed to be on the upper ledge when at the finish line

I race against the ghost, the game shows you the difference between you and the ghost when you pass the starting line at the end of 1st & 2nd laps, then you just have to do some calculations.
