  • Cool

  • Y U NEVER did produce any of those concepts Mazda???

  • good luck when u r opening tht in a parkin lot

  • its like the future has come already like welcome to the future

  • Stunning!!!

  • It's got a really FAT ass!

  • The doors are cool.

  • the door doesnt look too promising, but still a cool design

  • Well with concept cars being made, it just allows us all to dream at least...

  • Beautiful. Its a lame that Mazda has changed their design philosophy recently and models with lines like this never will be on the streets...

  • C R A P

  • wen is this car launched?

  • more like ryugly i like the furai and thats it

  • Just watched Mazda, Mitsubishi, Toyota~

    Everyone Hate Supra =.=

  • hOW TO OPEN THE DOOR ?

  • What if there was a shoot out how are you going use the doors as a shield. lol

  • @XHouseSlipperX LOL ahahahahah ROFL

you idiot hahahahahaha, fat chance you are going to be in a shoot out, and yes you definitly grab the first door and run with it so you can shield yourself...

When will ppl understend that POWERRANGERS arent real...

Love the car bytheway, i had a dream, more a vision, once, when i was a kid, it was this car :S in 2007 when i t came out, i was like WTF, its the car from my dream, its perfect!

just need to be electric :P

  • the side looks like a vantage

  • oh wow. how much is it?

loose at those wheels, it must have 24's on em.

  • i have to drive this car

  • this which money?

  • brateeeeeeeeeeee

  • i have a major problem with these concept cars. we can never buy them, so what the hell is the point? all the time and money that goes into them is a complete waste and the most we will be ever to buy is a car that looks slightly like it, if you squint

  • they dont call it a concept for no reason

  • Along with race car development (where things such as dynamic stability control and traction control were developed, now found in regular cars), this is where alot of r&d into possibly implementing new technologies is carried out. Without such projects, you would never see any new technologies reach production stage, at least here, u might see it in a decade.

  • @Deamarus ok it is important they have a test bed for these kind if things, but they can do two things to mean they waste less money during this process. A) use the current or future models that they are actually going to use instead of trapping resources in something pointless and B) actually produce some of them as they are shown in the magazines, use the fact you've got a stunning concept car as a tool to build up hype then produce the actual, not just produce the same rubbish over again.

  • @desposyy It makes people invest into the company, giving it more money to actually make those concepts a reality.

And some of the concepts are a "soon out" cars, so some people might even pre-purchase the car, and have it first :O

  • @desposyy We can have them in the future.

Dude nothing doesnt allow us to not have this, since it was made today.

The matters I think are money, as usual. If they release this today, then what have they got for u for tomoro?

    you know what i mean.

  • there are concept from the 50's right through to the modern day that have and will never be made, these cars are nothing but design muscle flexing to keep people gawping so they never have to make into production models. these prototypes have triple the design time of production cars, and no scrimping on material or production costs, unlike production cars that are produced to save every last penny that can be shaved of the production cost is, which is why we will NEVER see these cars, money men

  • @desposyy The idea of a concept car is a template from which to take design implements for road vehicles. It is only made to showcase new design implements and new technology, and gauge reactions to see what works, what doesn't, and what would be best to incorporate into their production vehicles.

It would take much redesigning for any of these concept cars to be mass-produced, especially in terms of cost, safety, and practicality.

  • I perfectly understand the idea behind concept cars, but it still doesn't invalidate what I have said, modern concept cars are a trivial way of car companies to show off. Your arguments don't stand up simply because it does not happen any more. Features from these veichals DON'T make it into to production models & this is far from the best way to do this even if it did happen. So as they still don't get made into veichals in their own right they remain as I said originally, pointless.

  • @desposyy I am not and do not intend to argue with you, as arguing about random things on the internet that neither of us are experts on is equally pointless.

I will simply point out that Mazda uses many design qualities of its concept cars in its main product line. If you look at their description of the Mazda3, you'll see them say that they used elements of the Mazda Nagare design in the 3's design.

  • @LupeOneLeo Have you read some of the things car comapnies write about there cars? it's almost all crap

  • @desposyy Maybe so, but looking at the two vehicles you can see some of the styling aspects they mention.

  • Really awesome looking car, but too bad it's just a concept...

  • i agree. its super sexy

  • its doors are like mercedes 300sl ones,i love that car

  • WOOOOOOW

  • i like the wheels...

  • there was once a hotwheels toy that you could get in your happy meal the looked almost just like that. it was a little green station wagon, a wild looking little thing. i dont know if anyone else remembers it but i do.

  • wat you gotta understand is concept cars are self explanatory....they make it as an idea for consumer production.......they base all their cars on that body frame......dont believe me, look at Cadillac, the based damn near every car in their inventory 04 and up on the Cadillac Sixteen.....

  • where do they go the engineering goes into the cars that you are driving today if they did not make these cars every thing that makes it to the production line would be boring and would look the same as the last. they spend less money doing this than if they made a car that failed to sell because it was boring or new tech was not devolped

  • it's a chinese happy face

  • Concept cars seem like such a waste of resources. Money, engineers (time and effort), promotionals. This isn't directed at Mazda, btw.

They should just put all that focus into the cars people end up driving, rather than putting on shows where they pat each other on the back for who has the coolest car no one will ever buy (often they don't even put them up for sale).

  • I agree with you, thats why this economy is so fucked up cause the people way up high decide to do stupid shit and the people down below pay the price. so what ever happens to cars like these were do they go?

  • people with ur brain are like anchors to imaginative thinking, concepts are made to bring imagination to life. ONCE u get the life picture ur brain will begin to think of other points and aspects of the design which u have created thus enabling you to improve and generate more and more ideas which then can be put through process of elimination so that u can finally create a new / different / interesting product. i could elaborate some more but i hope u get the picture.

  • So you are saying that it is alright to make a vehicle that costs so much and what if it never makes it to production, what happens with all those man hours n money spent on a car that maybe will be in a garage ?

I mean how can this country budget if the smart people running this country don't give a rats ass on what happens to it.

If all the people put in their 2 cents then we will see progress other wise we are heading towards chaos.

    Hope you get the picture.

  • Take this concept car, change out the gas for renewable energy (wind intake valves for wind-based electricity generation and photovoltaic siding for light-based electricity generation), and watch the world get changed.

Take money out of the situation and make what I describe en masse and implement mass transit and there goes the oil industry.

  • Everything one may hope to accomplish in the proto-engineering of a concept car can be achieved with a drawing and/or model. Warner Brothers doesn't spend a fortune on a summer blockbuster because they hope it will inspire better movies down the road. They do it because people will pay for it. Perhaps people will pay for this, but not if a car company never bothers to mass produce it. Honestly, I love inspiration and creativity as much as the next guy, but not at this cost of plant closures.

  • Exactly. The cost is being passed on to the consumer of the cars that are being mass produced. But when that cost is more than a consumer is willing to pay, sales begin to stagnate. This may be a small factor compared to the gigantic failures in the auto industry, but I think it is reflective of their decision making process. The summation of these results in cutting jobs.

  • You know i really wish these cool concept cars would actually go into production...

  • It's a wagon without the convenience of rear entry

  • those doors arent practical

  • @dirtyharry232323

I agree, here's the situation: Park between two cars, open door. Boom smacks on each side, can't get out :P

  • the mercedes 300sl already had these doors 50 jears ago, so whats the problem?

  • dont you think they have thought of that problem already ? im quite sure they would have done feasibility studies on this during the design process.

  • lol can you say delorean for 4 people?

  • you suck, stop makin your gas shit,we want electric cars,no gas

  • have you heard of the super car? i dunnoh wats it called but its worth 80 or 90k! its really fast too for an electric car!

  • Tesla

  • is that whats its called?

  • Wow.. that car looks like a bird.

When the doors are up, and a huge gust of wind blows, it will fly like a bird too.

  • wtf, do you live in "Windia" ?!

  • ... was that meant to be funny? Windia?... I get it but no.. no sorry, you killed it.

  • do you think those guys didn't think of that? you think that car is made of chewing gum?

  • lol would you SETTLE THE FUCK DOWN please?

  • i forget you for being stupid, afterall it's not your fault

  • lol, someone needs to get their head out of their ass.

Do you like starting arguments over the net?

    Mmm.. keyboard warrior.

  • Good luck going over speed bumps in that thing. Or does it sense bumps coming and hover over them or something? Technology is amazing, and ugly :D

  • it is amesing!!!!!!!!!!!!! paok re!

  • It must be a huge pain to get in and out of since it's so low.

  • start makeing lots not just a concept

  • Ok, it looks really aerodynamic, but its looks fucking stupid at the same time!

  • if we are ever to have people live on mars one day...This car would fit the bill...I love the styling of it,,hope they produce it or similar version

  • we should redesign our parking lots and get ready for these cars

  • "In the back, you have a big lounge to hang out with your friends..." WTF? It's suppose to be a car to drive around not no party stopper.

  • okay its hott, but, what if you park close to someone!?, or your in a car accident!?. What if you crash and roll into a lake or somting???

  • hot

  • concepts hardly ever look like the real thing. either that or they're never even made.

  • Damn I so much completely fully whole heartedly agree with you.

I am saying "So why not just sell to damn thing if is so great as you say it is". Tire of always seeing THE FUTURE. How about the fucking present for once. We never get these theoretical toys the car makers always tantalize us with. Like stuck up selfish supermodels, I just ignore their existence. They hate to not be the center of attention, I makes them grow up. Still waiting for autos to grow up.

  • a marvel of engineering...

  • have fun parking with those doors lol

    but its an awesome concept

  • hahah...lol..thats true!

  • I was just thinking the same thing, you aint getting out your car in a parking space.

  • cool!

  • its a start but i love the doors

  • wow! look like those car from power ranger

  • i luv concept carss =]

  • omg i wish that comes to production line by the time i graduate in 2010 :D Im buying it right away!

  • yerr fuuuuuny...

  • i like it actually - its nice to see a car that looks sporty... but doesn't have a v8 engine that costs 200$ to fill

  • Amerikosi zabeyte ebalo - Umatovaya Ta4ilo

  • all these years of technology and promise and this is what they come up with? this is the ugliest fucking thing i have ever seen. whoever came up with this POS was on shrooms, pcp, cocaine, weed, meth, and every other drug combined and was tweaked outta their minds.

  • 2.5 liter 6 speed? I could shit andd watch it roll down a hill faster. No wonder this shit is never made..???

  • have a feelin if they make it like that it'll be a chick car... like the eclipse

  • omg:D who buy mi that car?:P

  • damn i want those seats in my car. bamboo dew headlights? Nice.

  • thousands of concepts are made everyday and the same old shit car with the same old steering wheel and same old display is produced .. when r they gonna actually produce any of the concepts

  • So true! I was wondering and thinking the same thing. I can't wait for cars to be produced that actually resemble the concepts that are produced!

  • how the hell am i gonna get out when i park in between two cars?

  • hahahaha

    XD

  • The car could have spoke better for it's self..The announcer was WAY overpaid..whatever he got

  • That music was so lame! HAHAHA

  • lol... noticed those doors go up? i mean does that even fit in a garage? XD

  • good fucking point

  • That car is ok but Mazda's Furai Concept is much better.

  • better looking, but not as practical in my opinion.

  • those are soem sweet lights...

  • way better than the pivo2 lol

  • I agree that it's stupid to talk about these cars as if they're coming out next year or whatnot. The IDEAS put into those concepts will be put into cars for the future, but never all in one car.

  • thats not even nice

  • it realy buggs me that they almost never put Concept cars into production just because they cost alot to build.:(

  • MAZDA RULEZZZZZ ABOVE ALL CARS (of its class)

  • first

  • thats a big ass door, but iz a hella tigh' car

  • Ford owns 34% of Mazda...and Ford has actually helped Mazda become a good company...but if Mazda leaves Ford then Ford will be much weaker.

  • the only thing ford is doing for mazda is holding it back.....example how many mazdaspeed3 or rx8 commercials do see, compared to mustang or fusion commercials...

  • they should fix the car's underneath before *hits a speed bump* oh never mind :(

  • what is this?

  • a car. he sed it a million times dumbass

  • mazdacarsrule

  • mazda rules!

  • da steeringwheel is ugly

  • too reddy, too shiny, too mini, too goofy, too "aerodynamicy" I LIKE IT! the doors reminded me of the Benz in Gran Turismo 3/4. the old Benz.

  • that shit HOT.

  • is this car replacing my precious rx7? i hope not! o_0

  • wow I did not even think about parking I wonder if they did

  • actually the hinge of the door is near the center of the roof, not on the edge, so it actually does not swing out as much as a regular door ^^"

  • good luck parking in a lot a trying to get out the doors are huge but a kick ass ride

  • actually the hinge of the door is near the center of the roof, not on the edge, so it actually does not swing out as much as a regular door ^^"

  • how much is it? like uhh 5 billion dollars

  • where's the trunk?

  • awesome .. imagine goin to a party in that car, dam cool.

  • what the fuck...i hate dat shit ...all the car companies spend millions of dollars to all these concept cars and only some of them go into production but....in the end when its out the production doesnt even look the same as the concept car its stupid it comes out uglier waste of fuckin money...what happens to all the concept cars anyways that dont go into production?

  • Look at the RX-8 concepts - the production one looks much better. Similar, but better. Also, look at the concept for the Ford GT.

  • It's a very nice car!! I love it ony I like the rx-8 more:P BTW Is that a Dutch Accent?

  • I hope Mazda makes this one, it is one good looking car!

  • Very smart, though it will never make production

  • oh my i love it

  • haha looks so bad

  • Looks like a Citroen... only more useless

  • hahaha yeh. the inside is probbly the nicest part...(i wanna pinch those mags!!!)

  • damnn thats one crazy car

  • GrAvvvvvvY!!
