@RICKYRASPER With diesel it's not power that's important. It's torque. And it's torque that gets you moving. To take a boxing analogy, torque is a measure of punching power. Power is the measure of how many punches it can throw.
@blacktiger955i As a diesel bike owner, I can tell you from experience that power is very important. The amount of torque simply dictates where in the rev range peak power will be produced. A 462 cc diesel single produces about 20 ft/lbs @ 2500, (9.5 bhp) but falls away to about 16 ft/lbs @ 3600 giving 11 bhp max. A 125 cc petrol single produces about 7.5 ft/lbs peak, but can sustain it to 8500 rpm, giving about 12 bhp. Performance is roughly the same.
