@ContradictingFerret I was a fan of Craig's show, and I know for a fact he loved Morrissey. He even made up a tribute character called Sebastian, The Asexual Icon.
@stumuch1040 actually, not really. he is and always has been a morrissey FAN on a personal level. he got morrissey on his show because he, himself, is a fan. i give the guy credit for his personal taste in music in any case.
Craig Kilborn is so stupid,he doesn´t even know the words to Everyday is like sunday and the jaw comment is stupid as well,Morrissey is so hot,he´s envious that´s all.
He was on 2 nights in a row on Kilborn. This was near the end of Kilborn. I was always in the minorty, because I liked Kilborn. Its a big deal to get Morrissey, but 2 nights in a row. I do believe he lives in L.A. where he is worshipped by a lot of people. I'm a big fan, and he is a very humble guy, which is so rare.
@bsouth86 You know, I used to THINK I was a fan of Kilborn's years back, but you're right; he DID butcher this interview. Now I realize how annoying Kilborn can/could be. Every time Morrissey was trying to continue a point he was making or a story, Kilborn cut him off with his next spazzy question or comment.
He's truely moved. For a guy that was so awfully lonesome in his teens it must be shocking and painful to be greeted with such euforic enthousiasm. It must be hard to handle.
Love the guy, if only for that unique lines (sing along):
he needs to come out of the closet. he is dying inside, craving to be liked but he can't show who he is so seeks a twisted validation with anybody who will accept him. sad
@dams66black i don't think he NEEDS to come out, he said it before, he has nothing to hide and somewhere i read he had a long relationship he just never said if the person was mal or female, and i really don't think about anybody thinks, only about his true friends and fans :)
@pekusita you've just made my point: "He never said". He is a frightened, lonely, thin-skinned little man. Forget "true friends" if he can't be himself or comfortable in his own skin. I just pity him.
@dams66black But his artistic life is (or at least has been) very rich, and he communicates musically rather than through other channels than conversation.
@dams66black i don't think he NEEDS to come out, he said it before, he has nothing to hide and somewhere i read he had a long relationship he just never said if the person was male or female, and i really don't think he cares about what anybody thinks, only about his true friends and fans :)
this is the second interview with morrissey that ive seen and i can honestly say that he is right about pretty much everything he says. i cant stand people who think too highly of themselves, and morrissey does not do that. he appreciates music for what it is, art.
To CokeSocial: Because they're stupid, conditioned American audiences who are nervous and wanting attention. As far as Morrisey he's kinda quirkey and you can tell shy in a way. I respect and agree with much of what he says and how he observes the world. :]

@CokeSocial It's the modern disease where everyone wants to be a star. It's more about the bloody crowd and the interviewer than the actual performer.
What a lost opportunity to partake in a rare interview with a such a brilliant artist as Morrissey. It was almost as if Craig Kilborn was trying to portray the type of American that so many Americans despise. Not even being able to get a snippet of lyrics to a very famous Morrissey song correct !? Morrissey showed the class and composure of Clark Gable by not walking off the set but had he shown Mr. Gable's temper I would have fully supported him.
