So true...everything he said about the story of Hachiko being simple yet so powerfully moving...I loved the original movie much, much better but watching Richard Gere's movie about Hachiko made me cry just as much.

Richard Gere was gracious to take this movie in which he was at best in a supporting role. The Akita dog took all the attention and limelight.
