@DRAKO9764 the modena had 5 valves per cylinder which does alot for power but it had shitty gas mileage. the f430 was a little bigger has 4 vavles and also has shitty gas mileage. and the 458 for one is only .5L smaller than the 5.0 and it is direct injected and also get shitty mpg. now when ford adds the DI system to the 5.0 it will get gt500 numbers an if they didnt care about gas mileage im sure they could get 700hp out of the stock engine if they wanted to and only get 13-16 mpg.

If you want good mpg you buy a diesel, if you want to be blown away you buy a Ferrari, a Nissan GTR or a Porsche. American (muscle) cars are good at making donuts and going in a straight line with a big rumble and smoke. They have awfull mpg and can't handle turns so good (the Mustang has a live rear axel - ancient tech).

I would only buy an american car if it's a muscle car (a Camaro) and only for what it stands for not because of build quality or any other reason. The Crovette is cheap (as in $/hp) and powerful but it's handeling is difficult in corners and build quality isn't that great. The best car in $/performance (IMHO) of the moment is Nissan GTR, it beats a lot of more expensive and more exclusive cars!

@MrDeathtohippop in USA a Mustang is about 15k-20k $, in Europe is about 35k-40k Euros, and that's a shame, because the whole idea of the cheap powerful car is thrown out the window. A Mustang still has poor quality but a Focus (made in Austria or Germany) is better. I hate the fact that Ford used a live rear axel and not independed suspension, they said they did that to keep the car cheaper, but I think they made a mistake on this one.

@DRAKO9764 as for the gt-r from what i've been hearing it has engine problems you have to figure that 6 cylinder is being maxed out and parts for that car is not cheap you are going to end up paying ferrari prices after a while. but how true that is idk i'm going to look into it in a minute. but as for me i would rather pay 30k an get the 5.0 because you can do little mods to it that adds crazy power like i said there is a vid where a guy only put 6psi in it an it pumped out 543rwhp thats nuts.
