If we're going to go down that path, then many nations would have to be restored, and that's not going to happen. I think the best think for Ireland is for people to accept the situation, and stop listening to certain people who are there just to create conflict that in the end only benefits certain institutions, if you know who I'm talking about.

But, I have deeply studied the history of the Roman Catholic Church, and what I'm getting at is that Cromwell was called in by Protestant Irish to defend them, since no one else would. Is England justified in being there until today? Probably not, but, I don't like the IRA's method of handling the situation, and those they have ties with.

When people won't stop their evil by diplomacy, force is valid. And study about the Church you were baptized, you'll see that their political meddling is responsible for many of the massacres of the last century, mainly due to their support for Hitler, Franco, Mussolini, and the Ustasha in Croatia.

Then in 1920 the British Govt under Lloyd George partitioned and gerrymandered the northern counties to make a artificial protestant majority so they could maintain territory in ireland. The British are in Ireland because at the time of Oliver Cromwell, the Irish Protestants in the North were being mercilessly massacred by the Catholic Irish, who at the time were much better equipped and numerous than their fellow protestant countrymen. They asked the English to help them, and the English did, and have been there ever since. At least someone had the guts to protect a persecuted minority.

I know the English were there since before and after Cromwell, and not only in northern Ireland, but his occupation ultimately led to this specific geographic division of Ireland as we have today, and the reasons for this specific split are the ones I mentioned. Later monarchs of course, held on to the territory, but what I'm trying to get at is that not all people in that area are necessarily against this occupation.
