  • Man, I wish I could get the full, clear version of this song. It really is beautiful.

  • heard this in grafton street (Dublin) the other day, and it was the most beautiful song i had ever heard. I now am so stucked with that thing, i want to get one.

  • Panart have secret criteria's for whom they bestow a Hanghang with today... I really hope i fit them or one of my life's passions will be squashed, but I will never cease to love the instrument, I see it more as a Mediation technuqie that takes many years to master, so for one to own it now it must take many years of waiting just to own the real thing due to the lack of manufactering cappabillites and the # of ppl who want 1. I am both torn and uplifited by the thought of this. Peace and blessin

  • every hang player ive seen on youtube has dreads. dreads ftw

  • im trippin myself out bro. whats the drum doing

  • het valt me op dat de meeste mensen die de hang bespelen dreads hebben, dat vind ik heel erg tof :)

  • A tank drum is a pretty nice alternative with a similiar sound, ya its no hang..but while you are waiting around to find your hang drum atleast you will have something to play and use that will give you the same feel..btw this man is amazing..I could study and relax to this sound

  • a genius is a genius..on the street...is pure genius...pure talent !!!

  • jeez... is there any escape from graffiti ?...

  • and i still wonder y the fuk ppl still pay for those puperty singers when they can listen to this magical music for much less money or free....

  • what is the tuning on this???????

  • that aint just no musician...thats david swarup

  • hvorhenne i DK var dette? :)

  • uugh people grow up. Buskers are not beggers they are artists that choose to play on the streets instead of just a stage. its actually pretty lucrative too, easily make forty pounds over the 2 hours that people come out for lunch from their offices. They enjoy the music as they eat. My friends got paid ten pounds up front by a busker to move on so he could have their good spot as it was his regular place and well paying. They earn their money and are not homeless, they are not beggars

  • X-Files

  • The Aliens coming...

  • He's Davide Swarup

  • "Music from Heaven" so right

  • CAra esse instrumento é demais. Adoraria tocar um desses.

  • This video would be a great mp3, like the hang drum and the hustle and bustle city in the background gives it a feeling of.......idk but it sounds cool with all the people

  • OMG he has a phone wtf! look beside his bag

  • @critx001 why shouldnt he be owning a phone?

  • @critx001 He's not a bum. Hang drums are actually very expensive, and that guy in particular is Davide Swarup. He's (semi) famous.

  • 0:29 he looks ito your soul

  • this guy has played this same tune for the 3 yrs i was living there which is a beautifuk thing, with the ambience of the trams, the people, the bikes his sound fits perfectly..

  • why the fuck do all of you people diminish street artists? they may be poor and they may be not. playing music in the street and generally entertaining people in the street is a profession like any other and some people prefer it than sitting in a desk all day. they are not beggars, they may be poor and they be not poor, they may be even rich, whatever the case they do it cause they like it. they are artists. if they are good people gather around and give their money happily.

  • try this with an old grill after summer is over!

  • ok this instrument is really expensive...i could buy a 3d TV with that money...DAMN..why?:(

  • WANT!!!!

  • he looks like a junkie lol

  • i fan davide swarup

  • David Swarup is his name.. I've bought his CD. Its really great. very relexing music!

i thought it was like 18 euro's.. dont know how many dollars that would be..but its worth it!

  • this man is famous for hang drumming, ive seen this exact man with this exact song in several other videos

  • I bet thats awkward for him lol

  • its wonderful!!!

  • the people who make the hang (only 2 people) are the biggest jerks in the world... I went to order one and got accepted to pick one up and i traveled over 3000 miles to have them say sorry we cannot let you have one.... this is disturbing, yet im still under their trance....

  • zelda music! lol awesome

  • did u got a shot

    men

  • sounds like this music would go good in a video game like zelda

  • ive seen this guy in 3 vids doin this n he always does something great

  • this music is so hypnotic....I love it!

  • that is one bad ass drum. wish there were more of them in the world!!

  • its so god damn beautifull music

  • This guy is good!

  • Is he playing there with hopes to get money?

Because I'd recommend he stops fooling around in the streets and records his music, he's good!

  • He's got a cd, and he's probably just doin it for fun, the coins he may get would just be a bonus. If he's got a Hang Drum, he's not poor.

  • He already has, has a site etc. and yes that's David Swarup

  • he's italian not dutch and you would be surprised the sheer amount of money you can get in the streets. Just choose the right town and you're in for some good money - and you get to talk to people and let the ones that doesn't know what a hang is hear it and discover it

  • To "servantOfOdin" :

He's not fooling around... Davide Swarup is playing well payed concerts at great places worldwide and he has a CD since two years.

See his website davideswarup(dot)com or his Youtube site.

btw : He still likes to be busker and play in the streets from time to time... :o)

  • davide swarup?:O

    too bad he aint dutch

  • its that dude again...

  • aww those dutch

    arnt they great

  • definately music from the heavens. x

  • fuck you

  • that was a bit hasty.

  • lol

  • He will have a lot of competition in America as soon as everyone is broke and start playing on the street like he is. He should paint it like a captain America shield, it might serve a better purpose. Don't get me wrong, I liked the music.

  • ¬¬'

  • Hilarious comment.

  • legend,wish i had bought his album

  • eeeh muy bueno!!

    very good! Ü

  • This guy is particularly good, but these instruments practically play themselves.

I have played one - I have good rhythm and found it easy, but it would be hard to make a horrible sound with a hang.

    Everyone should have one!

  • This link could be useful for those who would like to get a hang:

    hangblog. org/2006/11/27/how-to-buy-a-hang

  • 2 bad it 30 seconds...

  • if someone can PLEASE tell me who this guy is. CD? Website? anything, I'd appreciate it. I saw him like 3 days ago in the Dam. 1st time I ever heard the Hang Drum. Beautiful instrument

  • Davide Swarup

  • I saw this guy playing last weekend in Amsterdam. Very good and shame this clip is so short.

  • i see a crap load of videos with hangs in them and i kno there really hard to get but how did all these ppl get them???

  • they dont make these anymore so they are extremely expensive.... wish i could get my hands on one of these...

  • That is really cool and when played like that really nice on the ears. Maybe they should do like a fusion between that and techno!

  • youre right cuse the hang is like a ufo and an ufo has techno ^^

  • google a band called "indijika" they have a myspace too.

beautiful fusion of electronic and organic sounds.

  • david swarup is freaky amazing

  • i hope you paid him.

  • of course )

  • @DCOAlex How much did he seem to be pulling in? I've heard that street performers can actually make a pretty penny.

  • Damn I wan't one of these things. If only there were more than just two people making these things!

  • U CAN MAKE ONE! people make them out of propane tanks, check it out on u tube

  • i never even heard of a hang drum before i saw this guy playing in amsterdam on last tuesday, its prety cool!

  • The best Ive seen on this instrument

  • I love this instrument!!

But!!! I have been wondering! looked up all the info I could get about it and found out that its very difficult to get one and that they are very expensive also! so here is my question! how do these people own one and then play on the streets of amsterdam???? any answers???

  • Because they are street musicians, and not always homeless. Aside from playing on the streets, most record and sell albums, and play organized gigs. Most also have full or part-time jobs on the side, as well.

  • well i hurd before 2006 they use to be pretty cheep but they got really popular as you can tell, any way there r only two peeps in the world making these right now "wat i heard from an owner" and damand is up, suply is low, you know how stocks go! now to answer your question, these people on the street probly been on the street befor 06 ha. much welcome ='>

  • Because they nick it! or mug it form someones house or sumfink

  • As far as I know hang costs about 500-700 EUR

And the man how invented it and make it now lives in Swiss (Bern or Geneva)

so I suppose it's an affordable thing for street musiciants to get the hang.

(I know that some of them regulary recive some grants from the governement and other organisations which support homeless and/or artistic people)

  • thank you all for reply! it was just wondering as I said and yes they are more than welcome to play and wish that more did so but that is not the case at least here in austria!long live music and to always warm our hearts!peace!

  • @piersremus

are streetmusiciants poor? Not all of them are poor and homeless, there are many of them just doing it for fun because they hate the commercial musicstate or don't have a band and want to show the world their music, go away from that opinion that all streetmusiciants are poor, thats not right.

  • @piersremus the fact that he plays on the streets is irrelevant, how they live there lives is the important part

  • @piersremus grab your guitar/or any instrument/ and sit on a street doesn't mean that you're poor or homeless..

  • are you married me?;D

  • I would like to get one of these Hang Drums... where can I get one... I would like to learn more about this istrument... some one know about them?

  • switzerland.. thats the only place you will find one ;)

  • I saw him in Amsterdam last April...real great

    hugs from Italy

  • Very beutiful soung and diferent instument.

    Good luck

  • This is Davide Swarup, a very talented hang drum player. Check him out here on You Tube. He also has a recording out (for download or on cd). Gorgeous playing.

  • very beutiful

  • I'll admit i dont know a lot about the hang drum, but what i have surmised from these you-tube clips is; to play the hang drum it would seem two things are necessary- dredlocks, and being very very high- i think i like the hang drum

  • i love this!
