  • The best power trio in rock and roll history. Three men making magic.

  • for dislikes 1:11

  • Great video. It's like Michelangelo showing how he painted the Sistine Chapel.

  • whats this from

  • cream were geniuses after clapton switched to the strat his sound was never as good as with cream still is god though

  • CREAM

    Simply the greatest band ever

  • Don't watch the version johngalt2626 uploaded. He put a whole lot of pictures of so called, 'love' in a perverted fashion. oops! Just think how many people are going to watch it anyways...

  • Good Fellas.. ;)

  • A incredible song. It is a pleasure for me to play it in the guitar. Cream was maybe the best band of Blues Rock of history. I liked this video a lot. Thanks!!

  • goodfellas

  • @remedave

    lol, yep!

  • 666 like <<< EVIL !!

  • If everyone would pick up an instrument, in my case guitar, and just sat down and tried to play they would eventually realize how horrible today's music is. When Justin Bieber has the TWO top videos n Youtube, and bands like this and others such as Metallica, ACDC, and some other more modern bands are suffering, you can tell the music community has went into the trash.

  • @ImRelentlezz

please don't mention metallica or ac/ac when talking about Cream , you could have mentioned the stones..the beatles, the doors...but metallica ? i play in a crappy band compared to Cream but i seriously won't even let metallica open up for my band even if they pay me to, i'd contact justin bie

    ber before metallica

  • @sebia12 that's ridiculous...no matter how feel about their stuff, you can not deny the power their songs have, they are responsible for some of the greatest riffs in music history. just because you don't appreciate their style (which is classical music played heavy metal style) you should at least be adult enough to show some respect for what they've done.. comparing them to bieber? so i'm guessing you're right around 12 years old?

metallica is the two steps past bands like cream and the

  • @sebia12 stones (in progression, not importance or who's "better')

    show some respect little kid

  • Too Right! I have a few friends on fb that are going to photoshop Ginger and Kofi playing a drum duet together and I told her it would be great if she could photoshop them playing in front of Lars' house. He's ripe for a takeover after making a greedy ass out of himself and most of all for being skewered on 'South Park'. If 'South Park' nails you - that's about the pinnacle of 'douchey-ness' if you know what I mean. Lars is a punk & can never be as good as Ginger Baker or even his son!

  • did i see him finger us at 1:07?

  • the first time i smoked weed, me and my buddy were in his basment listening to this song. i love it.

  • Ican play this song can i come over and smoke some graass with you but im only ten dont rip on me cuz im young

  • The riff is quite easy on bass but try singing the lyrics to it at the same time its not so easy, they are very talanted.

  • Love this song. Had it as a ringtone. That riff is amazing!!!

  • Whats with eric claptons fingerings? And the thumb to fret the G barre chord, I just cant stand for that technique, I love the song, and the riff, but its so easy to play it correctly rather than like a hack.

  • You're calling Eric a hack? LOL. There's no RIGHT way to play the guitar, there's only the wrong way. And you're doing it wrong.

  • anyone heard the hendrix cover?

  • Eric Clapton bitches!

  • "Eric Clapton bitches!"

Simple, elegant, and everlasting. Just like the riff :)

  • david fricke is a fucking douchebag...he never wrote a great song..never performed on a stage and blew audiences away...

but he acts with no humility...

  • Eric's talking voice is so different from his singing voice.

  • jack bruce sung, not eric clapton.

  • I can play that riff, it is always fun to do, whenever I just hold my guitar I start playing it without thinking, that is why that riff is so great, it just sneaks up to you!

  • lol thats my guitar

  • one of best riffs's ive heard. Great song

  • Today this never is brought around..only few listen to this as im 13...This is great and would be great if stuff like this came back around 2:45 BEST!

  • Music won't be made this powerful for years, if ever agine.

  • amaaazing riff.

  • cockaus

  • I like at 2:45, the picture of Jack with the bass like, "Yeah, I'm the best ever at this instrument...no big deal."

  • i know its true to Eric is the last living good guitarist of that era also

  • ginger is crazy lol

  • 1:16 he fingers you lol

  • haha he did...a couple times lol

  • hahahahaha yeah

  • I like 3:18 when he does the solo !

  • 1:12 fuck u!

  • Oh my Clapton/God, this song rocks!

  • Cream, an amazing blues-rock group! All 3 bandmates were essential in their contribution to the group's sound and success. As a guitarist, I love Clapton's Gibson/Marshall tone and his playing style. Deceptively, seemingly simple, it's quite complicated, really in terms of his phrasing, attack, the licks, riffs and runs he put together in such a tasteful appealing way. Baker's drumming is inspirational to all drummers. Bruce's fuzz-bass sound and improvisational skills are second to none.

  • Excellent comment young man.

  • first song i ever learned on the guitar thanks to my hippy parents good song eric clapton is the man

  • I can play that on bass!

    whoo!

  • are you serious dude. if so, thats cool. can you play any other songs?

  • yeah i play a lot of clapton or try at least i like playing christian worship songs thats my true passion i told myself when i was younger that if i ever learned to play tears in heaven by clapton i would be happy but music just keeps getting more challenging and more fun

  • tears of heaven is a great song. mastering something challenging is a great fulfillment. i like contemporary christian songs.

  • Clapton? GOD!

  • as far as im concerned, led zep got it from cream. cream was too blues to be metal. and too druggy. definitely classy psychadelic rock. very classy band.

  • is Jack Bruce the lead singer of cream

  • Yes, sir!

  • Yeah and Bass Clapton Was Like Backup

  • claptons middle finger when he play the powerchords :D

  • cream is early metel

  • no pysadelic rock black sabbath is early metal

  • Black Sabbath LEARNED from Cream, Led Zep and Jeffereson Airplane. I agree with joeparzych2. They were the actual early metal bands.

  • yeh black sabbath learned from it dosen't mean there metal for example cream learned fom early blues are they blues

  • i lvoe ti when a bass player uses a contra bass

  • i never knew clpaton was english i thought he was american

i mean he looks american... doesnt he? i never knew his voice sounded like that it doesnt show in his singing

  • Dude HISTORY101 for you. if he looked "American" he would look indian. And i dont know if you know but, All white americans came from Europe, Most of em from England, Thats why we speak english.

  • I think he means modern day americans.

  • wow way to take something out of context and be a total douche about it

  • does or did eric clapton smoke?

  • haha what a question.Of course he did.And i think he tried acid when it was legal

  • acid isnt legal?

  • no.

  • i meant it's not legal. You can find lsd in wikipedia and check the legal status

  • Did...everything imaginable! Read his auto-biography...was shocked about some of the stuff that he did.

  • Coffee Anyone???

  • hes filping you off

  • Obviously, the pathetic words of a marginal artist, rendered irrelevant, by Jimmy Page's work many, many, years ago. A sad bitter little man.

  • omg

  • Thats not even funny, its just sad :(

  • Someone on WIKI is reporting that Jack has died.

  • 1.07 , hahaha fuck you

  • I do the same thing when I play The Stooges "I Wanna Be Your Dog."

  • so simple but awesome!!!!!

  • the first song i learnt on guitar was this song :)

  • I think this is everyone's first song.

  • i also think this is every body's first song, that or smoke on the water

  • oo sorry i didnt see ur comment

  • same, it was my first song too

  • no everyones firs "song" (which is really a riff is either iron man or smoke on the water on the low e string lol (btw i dont like either of those songs)

  • hahaha yeah you're right , it sounds so gay when n00bs play it

  • ya

they shouldnt play in public until they get good lol

  • This is also my first song I learned on guitar too!

  • I want to learn how to play that song! I love it!

  • It's not that difficult to learn...

It's a simple, but awsome song!

  • clapton is a god

  • Comment removed

  • @amostv Actually, Ginger Baker IS God! ;-)

  • Loved it that they used the song in Goodfellas....

  • clapton flipped us off lol

  • My 21yr old daughter and I agree on a few things. That this is the best song ever is one of them...

Any Cream fans that never heard of BBM (Baker,Bruce,Moore) should check them out. Only one release that I know of, but worth it.

  • No. Jack Bruce wrote it.

  • Look at : Cream / Hendrix Sunshine of your love.

    Jack Bruce made this riff.

  • when and why did Clapton switch from a gibson to a fender?

  • I heard that he switched to a strat because hendrix played it, but later he said that is because of the neck, blah blah blah... I think that he switched in the early seventies, i dont know

  • well thanks anyways <3

  • gibson's look good (like the SG or the explorer) but from my experience, I think fenders have better sound quality.

  • It's all a matter of tone and what's appropriate. I generally love the single pup growl of a Fender or a G&L, but whenever I hear Clapton playing this song on his Strat, it doesn't sound right - it doesn't have that Gibson quality that I think suits this song so well. So it's all just a matter of what you're playing, I think. To say that Fender is better than Gibson or vice versa... I think doesn't make any sense; how can you compare single-coil to humbuckers? It's just different.

  • true.....very true

  • Clapton's got the guitar alright.

  • This song is incredible. I'm working on the solo right now.

  • im not a big fan of Gibson guitars for one reason i don't feel the neck comfortable but i am a huge fan for ibanez's. but i think its because my fingers are small when i turn 14 or 15 ill try the gibson again

  • well said!!!!

  • Yea...Gibsons are cool...But Fenders arnt ugly...there both good guitars

  • fuck u... the best guitarrist player in history... hendrix... which guitar prefered... FENDER ! Of Course.. fender and gibson are the best... and theres no way to say fender ugly, gibson better.. Both are exelent guitars...

  • haha all of you are wrong he bought a few strasts and kept 5 two of which he left the same the other three he took apart and put various pieces together and named it blackie which he is playing now!

  • eric still rocking !

  • lol yeah whoever the hell that is...

  • lol

  • What kind of guitar does the guitarist have?????

  • ok ur stupid and he is playing an ameerican strat

  • go fuck urself i was only asking.

  • He's playing a Fender Strat but on the original recording he plays a Gibson SG.

  • lol yeah thats Eric Clapton playing his trademark Fender Stratocaster

  • God?

  • nvrm the tab i tried to post, the space screwed it up. darn you youtube!

  • haha hes flippin u off at 1:07 lol. But this is a pimpin song. i like the original but the guitaf hero version sounds nice too. people have all these different ways to do the chords after the 12 12 10 12 intro, mine is

    this: --12--12--10--12---------------------- --10--10--8--10----------------------

  • 2:53 goosebumps.

  • eric rulezzz!!!

  • Eric rules. I just finished his autobiography.

  • ha!!! they call the red haired drummer "ginger"

  • probably because his name is Ginger Baker...

  • I`m sorry....... its gust funny

  • lmfao texasflood im on the floor right now

  • i fell special..... i got flipped of by eric clapton

  • hes fliking me off

  • We love you Eric, but you are showing us your finger.

  • I totally agree with you David Fricke.

  • YEAH!

  • ahhaha i was flipped off by Clapton...

  • u think you can flip me off??????

  • lol 1:07-1:08 :D:D

  • i noticed it to lol

  • me too!

  • what happened????

  • oh jeez, lol

  • the half of the victory sign :)

  • David Fricke, what a frickin goon. He looks like everybody's ugly masculine aunt.

  • Be nice.... but lol you made me lmao!

  • this dvd is great, where does this clip come from?

  • to the guy who says clapton has been crap since cream listen to layla (about his love for a then married patti boyd) pure emotion

  • go ginger backer.wot a legend!

  • is he playin fingerstyle style?

  • yes he is..i started with a pick but find finger sytle more comfortable nowu got more control over the guitar

  • ya i suck with a pick im thinkin about going back to fingerstyle

  • Clapton generally doesnt play finger style. He always uses a pick. this is the first instance ive ever seen him not, but then again, it seems like he just picked up the guitar and dint feel like bothering with it

  • ya thats sometimes is like me i just dont want to bother with a pick

  • Read his authorised and unauthorised biographies maybe then you will have a slight insight into this man who you seemingly despise yet know nothing of.

  • well for one, he wasn't doing Patti Harrison while she was married to George, they were broken up when he started dating her, and you say this "teary eyed sentimentalism", isn't that what the blues is about, heartache and sorrow, anger and remorse? Why does it have to be a chance to cash in and not a way to unload his feelings? obviously you've never felt that kind of emotion, so who are you to judge?

  • you are a grade A asshole man. You think you're so cool because you can jokingly brush off one of the hardest experiences in life to go through, let alone an untimely death like a child? If you had the problems that Eric Clapton had as a child and early in his life, you might turn to drugs and alcohol too. Then again, look where he is today, and where you are, I don't associate "AlphaSouljah" with being one of the greatest blues guitarists ever. Eric Clapton is a legend, plain and simple.

  • i gotta agree that riff is something different

  • goodfellas!!!!!!!!!!!:D

  • you know it

  • ya i luv de movie!

  • check out these guy's re-do of this song,in Jack Bruce's album "shadows in the air". I like the original better though.

  • you dont know shit about music

  • me too .... aaahhhhhhh....... creamy

  • you play that riff in puerto rico and people sometimes think you are playing "el pito" by joe cuba.

  • at powerchords eric shows me always his badmother finger :<

  • GUY AT 1:56 LOL

  • haha. check out his hair bangs.

  • this has givin me inspiration for my song. i was looking for an arrangement and i have now found it. i guess it is a standard arrangement. however i hadnt realised it. il give it a stab
