@magentamagica13 he's getting harmonics from his pick hand by sliding down the string over the approximate locations 12 frets above the 12th, 17th, 19th, etc. (the harmonic from the 5th fret is the same note as the harmonic from the 17th, and so on), and "playing" the strings by doing a continual hammer/pull-off in a scalar fashion.

how do i exactly use GTR3 for recording?? i use the standalone just like that but mostly VSTs usually amplify the sound AFTER it has been recorded through the mic input (which is just clean and not distorted).
