*sigh* I was lazy due to the excitement of getting the Hanwei sword the following day. This isn't an accurate video of me cutting, secondly, I should've used something better than this table with my cutting(due to me rushing, I was careless in this video, I'm more focused than this.)
Dude dont hold it like a baseball bat. Space you hand, they shouldnt touch eachother. Place your left hand at the very bottom of the tsuka. That way you can use the proper push pull method of slicing. Spend money on a instructional vid or some classes instead of the ghey ass ninja suit.
Last but not least, do not shove your swords in or out of the sheath like that. you will ruin the edge, damage the sheath and scratch the Habaki. Always seathe-unseathe with the spine of the blade always pressing against the sheath (so that you don't cut the inside of the sheath). When you reach the habaki, stop then push it in firmly but gently. When unseathing, first push the guard firmly with your thumb so that the habaki comes out, THEN pull the blade out of the sheath WITHOUT CUTTING IT.
Not only that, but you wear your Shinobi shozoku completely wrong. Nothing should be left hanging around. The excess belt should be rolled around on the rest of the belt, your Shozoku's upper piece should go under your pants, the hanging part of your mask under your shirt and you should NEVER WEAR A RED SHIRT UNDERNEATH, EVEN IF DARK, IF THE REST IS JET BLACK (which it shouldnt, it should be dark-brown/blue/red) as the contrast will kill your camo. And TRUE NINJA NEVER CLAIM THEY ARE NINJA.
I was just feeling lazy that day. I'm working on getting a half mask, I hate wearing the whole hood over my head. I know the upper part goes in my pants, I just didn't feel like doing that.
Yes very true navy blue blends in with other colors even in urban areas is much better than black because black creates an outline. Think of it this way have you ever seen a black trash bag on the side of the road at night before garbage day? creates quite an outline and has very distinct shape but only because black creates an outline. Dont wear black and dark shades work I recommend navy blue or Dark red maybe even a pine green. GOOD HUNTING
ZERO form. A cut should NEVER have a sideways curve while in motion as it can damage the blade (for example, you can get a nasty set on it). Cuts should be completely and absolutely straight. Your hands must be stronger hand directly under the tsuba and weaker hand correcting the cut's direction at the end of the tsuka.
Also, what kind of Ninja throws away his sheath like that? IT IS A WEAPON. If you throw the sheath away in combat, you have no intention to win as you won't reseath.
A few technical pointers, if I may: Your hands should not be together while gripping the sword. Place your dominant hand 1 inch below the tsuba (handguard) and the other hand at the base of the handle. While striking with your hands like this, slice forward with the dominant hand and pull back with the other hand. This "push-pull" motion will add a great deal of velocity to your strikes.
Got a good point. I should've positioned my hands correctly, I'm so used to my hands being close, but I know it should've been some distance from the tsuba. I'll do the push-pull next time. Great pointer btw.
so whats better a ninjato or katana?
or is it just as good as the other?

Didn't you read my comment, Mr. Wise. I was pretty lazy that day and didn't do anything properly. I assure you, I know the proper techniques.
